Owner Description

Year Purchased: 2005

We both grew up spending a lot of time in the Sierra Nevada and were especially attracted to Lake Tahoe. Both of us spent Winters working at the local ski areas and Summers on the Lake. We met at Squaw Valley skiing. When we moved to the San Franciso Bay Area we knew we still wanted to frequent the Tahoe area. Finally we were able to get our own place on the beach next to the Hyatt Lake Tahoe in Incline Village when a friend told us about an available condo at 999 Lakeshore. Stephen has a Farmers Insurance agency and Janice has a commercial real estate firm and is a licensed California Broker.

Why the Owner Chose 999 Lakeshore

We were looking for a place where we could have easy access to both watersports in the summer and snow sports in the winter. Stephen's family history coming here, the relatives all love the location and beach, EZ access, and private beach.

The Unique Benefits of this Condo

We enjoy having all of the comforts of home in our condominium. In the summer we can walk to the beach and restaurants or cook at "home" on the outdoor gas barbeque. We also love the fully stocked kitchen for home cooked meals. We can ride the Flume Trail from our condo, or cruise the streets on our bikes. Boats can pick you up off the pier at the Hyatt and it's 15 minutes to the slopes at Mt Rose or less than 5 minutes to Diamond Peak in Incline Village.

What did you do that was really fun? "We had a great time skiing at Diamond Peak and we had a great snowball fight on the beach." How can we improve our condo? "Bar stools in the kitchen area would be great!" What information would you like to see more of? "The book was great too! Although we know Incline well, it was helpful!" Where did you like to eat? "Tomaato's for pizza & ravioli!" Anything else? "We loved this condo. It has everything you need and the location was supurb. We hope to definitely come back! Thank you so much!" We had a fabulous stay in your condo & at Tahoe! Great location & we loved the fact that the kitchen is fully stocked with post, pand and seasonings. Very clean & comfy too. Thanks for everything!

What did you do that was really fun? "Catamaron Ride was absolutely fabulour, courteous and delightful staff. Beach was a delight, luckily we brought an umbrella - it was unusually warm- most people had large cabanas that took up a lot of space." How can we improve our condo? "More toilet paper, everything else was provided except ten, all utensils, kitchen stuff was greatly appreciated" What would you like to see more of? "More personal recommendations ie restaurants, places to se ie boat rides w/Incline" Where did you like to eat? "We are local so ate here every nite; although pizza from Tomaato's was grea & we put the menu in the binder!" Where are you from? "Reno & Pleasnts CA" Anything else? "1)Need more than one key to get out gate, very scary not to be able to exit unless with a key or car or perhaps beach. Concern about emergency exit. 2) Rec bring umbrella or other overhead device. very warm" Owner comment - we've added to our welcome package to bring an umbrella or canopy. HOA is addressing the gate access, the owners want it too.

What did you do that was really fun? "Hiking, waterskiing, and jetskiing was really fun." How can we improve our condo? "My family had many complaints about the beds. We had trouble sleeping so matress pads or better pillows would be a great improvemen! Also better pillows would improve the comfort. We ran out of toilet paper so extra rolls should be put out" Anything else? "We had a great trip!" Owner comment - their dad signed off that his girls would be okay on the bunks, guess they weren't. Also the pillows are new, so maybe not soft enough yet.

What did you do that was really fun? "Paddle boarding, and kayaking - hiked up to 5 lakes basin and swam one of the lakes." How can we improve our condo? "Recycling service - we can't find where to put recycling so will pack it out and recycle at home" What would you like to see more of? "Location of grocery store. This was our first time to Incline and it took us a drive around the area to find Raleys" Where did you like to eat? "Had lunch at the Lone Eagle - very nice!" Anything else? "Very clean and comfortable, nicely decorated, would definitely consider staying here again" Owner comment - we've added information where to recycle and a map is part of the check-in package now. Our HOA had to cancel the recycling as we had fines from not doing it correctly.

What did you do that was really fun? "Spent lots of time on the beach. Rafting Truckee also great fun." What would you like to see more of? "Local History" Where did you like to eat? "China Wok - yummy!" Anything else? "Had a great time celebrating our cousins 60th birthday - 18 total family members in 4 units. Lots of excitement with a bear in the complex every night"

What did you do that was really fun? Something for everyone - beach, hikes, & Grandma won $2000 at the casino! Where did you like to eat? Bites - excellent, Lone Eagle - always terrific. Condo is great, very clean & comfortable and super location! (Excerpts from review in guest book)
