Villa "Escaliere" is set in the middle of a mature "terraced" olive grove of several acres. it is tucked away on a very quiet, one way winding street, yet it is only a short 10 minutes drive to all shopping (Valbonne or Grasse). L'Escaliere is a family home, built 45 years ago respecting the traditions of Provence and using all antique materials (floor tiles, roof tiles...). It is kept in perfect condition. The kitchen was entirely remodeled a couple of years ago. The views are magnificent from all the rooms. They range from lush valleys to exquisite sunsets on the Esterel mountains, to a bird's eye view of the Mediterranean. The house is very elegantly furnished, home to an extensive collection of contemporary art. It offers numerous sitting areas for romantic drinks or meals.
After a full day of fun and discovery, you will come back home to find the "aperitifs" waiting for you on one of the terraces (with homemade tapenade or pissaladiere), the table set for dinner and the house inundate with the perfume of five stars Provencal cooking.....all prepared by our chef.

I was born and raised in Belgium. We spent all of our summer vacations on the French Riviera. I have lived in Florida for 25 years but we kept the tradition going: Four generations have now enjoyed l'Escaliere.

From l'Escaliere you can chose to spend your days hiking in the Alps or leisurely strolling along the water. Golf courses with stunning views abound within 30 minutes. And who could resist visiting the vineyards of Provence, tasting local olive oils and learning the secrets of regional dishes ? Over the years, every member of the family, no matter their age, has always found the perfect activity for them. More than anything, I personally enjoy the cooking of our chef!
