Why the Owner Chose Sansepolcro

It is a beautiful and unspoilt underpopulated area of Italy. My villa is still visited everyday by the elderly shepherd from the farm below with his flock of sheep and goats something you don't see everywhere in Italy these days. The sunflowers, the sunshine the olive groves and the welcome of the local people all impressed my when I first saw Calcina.

Owner's Map of Sansepolcro

I am half Italian on my mother's side. She was born in Naples and my father, a traditional English gentleman, had a life long love affair with Italy and so to Italy I was drawn from an early age. When I wanted to buy a villa in Naples all my relatives said no no you must go Tuscany, the green heart of Italy, so it was to Tuscany I headed and I have not been disappointed.

..such a beautiful house in a beautiful setting - we all thoroughly enjoyed it, and my father in law is talking about next year already! We all wished we could have stayed longer. Absolutely LOVE the infinity pool...thank you ever so much for getting the groceries in for us - that was very kind of you, and was a great help when we arrived ...
