What a beautiful condo! We loved everything about it, but the view was the best! Our teenagers loved the pool. Waking up in the master bedroom to the sunrise over the gulf was awesome. Loved Marathon...a perfect location when you want to explore the Keys since in is right in the middle. The restaurants you recommended were great. Nice to have access to Inch Beach, but we loved Sombero Beach as well. Would go back tomorrow if we could! Thanks, Bob!
Owner response:Greetings Mary and Pat Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad your stay was what you expected it to be. The Keys are truly fabulous in all ways and when we can ad to the experience it makes it all worthwhile. Please come back. All the best Bob

I highly recommend the Sea Glass for your vacation stay in the Keys. The property was exactly as described and very clean. Bob, the owner, is a wonderful person to deal with. This property is located close to more than you can ever hope to do while on a stay in Marathon. The pool on the property is beautiful and clean. THE VIEWS ARE FANTASTIC. My family had a great stay and will stay there again on our next vacation to the Keys.
Owner response:Hi Jeff Thanks for the kind words. Guests like you folks, who treat the condo as their own, really make the whole process worthwhile. I hope we see you again only next year it would be great to see the Badgers and Indian in the final 4. almost made it this year. Stay in touch. All the best Bob Royko

Bob: Our visit to your beautiful condo was a relaxing and fun week for all four of us. The accommodations were as advertised, were convenient, and offered a great view of the bay and sunrises! Would definitely rent again. The Island Tiki Bar/Restaurant became our hang-out of choice. It was a great all around vacation. Thanks

What a beautiful piece of paradise! The condo was exactly as described. Georgeous views, perfect location, and well decorated and maintained. The rental procedure was easy, with prompt return of deposit. There was an issue with the cable company’s switch over to digital service - our luck that they would decide to switch over earlier than was expected! Bob and Paula worked diligently to see that it was resolved. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We walked on 7 mile bridge, spent a day at Bahia Honda park, took day trips to Key West and Key Largo, visited the Dolphin Research Center, did a lot of walking, eating and relaxing! There was plenty to do in the local area. Thanks to the owner for all his recommendations and suggestions. Would definitely recommend this condo, and if we're ever back in the area without our RV, would rent this spacious condo again!
Owner response:Thank you so much for the kind words. Knowing that our guests have had an enjoyable and memorable experience is one of the great rewards for those of us who choose to share our homes with others. I hope we see you again in the future and thanks again for your thoughtful and very helpful suggestions on improving our piece of paradise.

If you are looking for an amazing vacation spot this is the place to stay!! As soon as you walk in you feel at home, it is clean and beautifully decorated and the views are breath taking. Every morning and every night we would sit out on the patio and enjoy the gulf and wildlife living in and around it! The Living, Dining and Kitchen area was spacious enough to cook and eat very comfortably. The bedroms and bathrooms were roomy and had tons of storage space for you to unpack and feel at home. The owners provided an infomation binder with everything you needed, from general contact information to where to eat and what places to see and everything they suggested was amazing!! As far as location, it couldn't be better. The condo is tucked away from the hussel and bussel of the main drag, so it was always quiet and calm. But hop into your car or take a walk and within a minute you are in the heart of Marathon. From the location we were able to explore all of what the keys had to offer, 40 minutes you were in Key West shopping or exploring or 5 minutes north of Marathon you were at the Dolphin Research center swimming with the dolphins. Our family had the most wonderful experience and when we return there is no where else we would stay. You will not be disappointed.

We have stayed at 8 different properties (nationwide, not in the Keys) and this is one of the very best. The condo is quite spacious, far more room than necessary for just the two of us, but who complains about too much room? It was clean, obviously well kept and decorated invitingly. The water views are just lovely from inside and outside on the balconies. We brought our kayaks which was our primary reason for going to the Keys, and of course, there are plenty of put-ins and parks for paddlers. We went to Curry Hammock twice and put in at the nice little Veterans Park just across the 7 mile bridge a couple of times. This is a fabulous area for kayakers. We loved Bahia Honda and the snorkeling was pretty good just from the beach, but go all the way out to the buoy markers for the best snorkeling from the beacjh. Naturally, we made the relatively short trip to Key West, and it was enjoyable although there was a cruise ship in port that day, and so was very crowded. We dined and drank at Sloppy Joes in Key West. Back in Marathon, we ate at the Barracuda which was excellent, but maybe a tad pricey, the Island Fish Co. which was very good, and not so pricey, and Sparkys for the happy hour twice. Can't beat Sparkys for those twenty five cent peel and eat shrimp and wings! I must give a big shoutout and thank you to Paula for her rapid response to the only problem we had. The AC quit working while we were gone one day, and we phoned the number for Paula. She called back in minutes, contacted an AC repair company, and they were at the condo in about half an hour to do the work necessary. The AC was up and running in no time and everything was of course fine once again. Now that is really excellent response and service and we greatly appreciated it! I definitely recommend this property. Thanks for the great vacation, Bob and Paula!

We had a wonderful time - the condo was clean and a great location. The men enjoyed fishing from the dock - lots of variety of fish. Sunrise and Sunset and relaxing by the pool. I had never been to the Florida Keys before and this location was perfect. Driving distance for any day trip. The weather couldn't have been better either - the winter has been a tough one in New England and Florida was the place to be. The townhome was a great place to stay. Dine in with our freshly caught fish or enjoy the local restaurants. We would recommend this property.
Owner response:Greetings Mary Jo thanks so much for the kind words and I hope we see you again in the future. It's great knowing that our guests are enjoying our place as much as we do. This was our first time using VRBO, and I can't begin to say what a great experience it was. Bob and Paula were fantastic at helping us prepare for our week long stay at their beautiful Sea Glass condo. The condo was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and extremely well equipped. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need -- cooking utensils, blenders, and all the spices you would need to cook up a gourmet meal. The bedding was perfect for us and our two children, and three bathrooms really helped getting us going in the morning. The setting is so quiet being off the road, and we had the pool to ourselves most of the time (except for an iguana on occasion!). And we greatly appreciated access to Inch Beach -- that was a extra touch! (Hint: Check out their Sea Glass YouTube video to see more of the unit.) We also found the location perfect for exploring the Keys. Key West isn't too far away for a quick road trip, and there were many good restaurants, grocery stores, beaches, and attractions within a couple of miles. Our favorites included Lady Marathon for family fishing (cheap, and you catch about the same things on the more expensive options this time of year); Spirit Snorkeling for a trip to Sombrero Lighthouse; and Sparky's for their unbelievable happy hour -- excellent wings and huge shrimp for 25 cents each, and unbelievable fish tacos. They have cool T-shirts, too! In short, we couldn't be happier with our decision to stay at Sea Glass, and hope to come back again soon. There is so much more to do than we could fit into 7 days, so we'll have to come back! Bob, thank you for sharing your piece of paradise, and Paula for making sure that the condo was in exceptional condition upon our arrival. It was truly a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The sun-burned family from Minnesota!

This is a beautiful condo situated in a beautiful setting in paradise. The docking for our boat was perfect for the two days the weather allowed getting out on the water with easy access to both the Gulf and Atlantic sides of the island. The days the weather didn't cooperate with our boating plans, we switched up and found many new things on the islands to enjoy, such as the Conch Train Tour, Pepe's and Conch Republic restaurants in Key West, No Name Pub & Pizza and Key Deer in Big Pine, Bahia Honda State Park. We toured the Turtle Hospital and found the Keys Fisheries and Captain Hook's Marina in Marathon, plus all the great parks and places we visited around Islamorada. Our children especially enjoyed the iguannas and key deer and the beautiful fish and sealife. We had a wonderful week in paradise and this condo was great because of its convenient location, it's clean and nicely furnished, and very comfortable.
Owner response:Greetings Dan and Renee and thanks so much for the kind words. Knowing that our guests enjoy the condo as much as we do really makes renting is out really worth while. I appears that you folks really got to know the neighborhood well. Thats great. I hope we see you again. All the best Bob Royko

This June will mark our 4th year staying in the Sea Glass condo. Each summer we return to what we deem to be our shared piece of paradise in Marathon. From the moment we arrive we feel as if we have returned home. This condo has everything you would need and/or ever desire in a home away from home. My husband grew up in Key West and in recent years we decided to return to the Keys for our summer vacations. We feel extremely fortunate to have found the perfect location in the Sea Glass condo and that is why we have continued to return. I would recommend this rental to anyone that is looking for their own private piece of paradise. Rain or shine you will continuously enjoy everything this condo and the surrounding Marathon area has to offer you.

Our vacation was absolutely wonderful. The condo was awesome, and we loved the location. To me, the best part was the solitude and peacefulness: listening to the waves while lying in bed, watching sunrises (I'm an early bird so I caught most of them), and watching the moon reflect off the water. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere at all the restaurants! We appreciate you giving us your list of recommendations. We celebrated my son's birthday @ Lazy Days in Islamaroda and everything was awesome. Island Tiki was my favorite (best place to watch the sun set)! Loved the She Crab soup. My son's girlfriend doesn't eat seafood (I know, she's weird); she tried my soup and had to order a bowl for herself. We also turned her on to some conch fritters @ Sparkys. We got to Key West one day and did the trolley tour (one day was enough, prefer Marathon). We had lunch @ Blue Heaven (with the roosters, chickens and even a scorpion) which was pretty cool. We also did some other tours near Marathon (Pigeon Key, Crane Point) and had fun snorkeling, jet skiing and swimming w/dolphins. It was really a great week! Just wish we could have stayed longer to do more things. Thanks again for everything! We'll be back :)

Thank you very much for the wonderful vacation we spent here. Your home is very comfortable, clean, and spacious. We found everything we need here. Time flew by so quickly, and everything we experienced in the Florida Keys was unforgettable. We went to Bahia Honda Park and Sombrero Beach where we snorkeled and saw many fish. We also enjoyed scuba diving at many popular spots, such as Elbow, Doughnut, Herman’s Hole, and Samantha’s. We saw Barracuda, Goliath Grouper (200 lbs), lobsters, crabs, turtle, and many other fish that we have never seen before. We wish your future visitors an amazing vacation like we had. Thank you very much! Sincerely (S Uvaweniem), Galina (Estonia) I came from Estonia and my Florida Keys experience is one I will never forget! Thank you! Kristina (Madison WI) Craig (Madison WI)

Our family spent a fabulous week at Sea Glass during the month of May. It was our first visit to the Florida Keys and we could not have picked a better place to call "home" while we were there! The townhome was extremely clean and well-equipped and spacious enough for a family with 4 children! The kids loved being in the pool and we really appreciated having the dock right there for fishing in the mornings and evenings. We caught a variety of fish including 2 bonnethead sharks right off the dock! The views from the condo were absolutely beautiful! Our favourite beaches were in Bahia Honda State Park, and we went there on most days to swim and snorkel in the clear water! Our family really appreciated the opportunity to rent your vacation home and we would highly recommend it to others for a wonderful holiday! Thank You!

Sea Glass was like home with every amenity we could wish for - very comfortable. The view of the water was wonderful from the patio and the master bedroom. I was up at 6 a.m. to watch the beautiful sunrise from the patio off the master bedroom. Grandaughter had great fun fishing off the dock with us. Marathon is a great location - close to Key West and bait/tackle shops and boat chartering. Convenient to food shopping. Enjoyed a trip to nearby Bahia Honda State Park.

We had a great time and the Sea Glass condo was absolutely phenomenal. It was easily as beautiful as you portrayed it. The dock opened in the beginning of the week and even though there were a bunch of warnings with Tropical Storm Alberto in the area, it only rained the first day. It was fabulous. Thanks for the restaurant recommendations as well. We had awesome meals at the Key Colony Inn and 2x at the Island Tiki. And while it was a bit pricey, we had a really great steak meal at the Water's Edge up in Hawk's Cay on Duck Key. We didn't get to use Inch Beach because we ended up finding a very secluded area of Sombrero Beach that was very shallow and calm for our 3 year old. She had an awesome time and also caught a bunch of small fish off the dock as well. Thanks again and if we ever come back down to the Keys (likely!), we'll certainly check to see if the Sea Glass is available. B & M Reger

Hurricane Charley, Ivan & Frances! Oct 13, 2004 After much anticipation our trip to the Florida Keys was planned for September 17-24. We booked the beautiful Sea Glass condo on Marathon Key so we would be in the middle key. It was off-season and the rates were lower. What a perfect time to go. We would drive our car to save money. When Hurricane Charley threatened the Florida Keys in mid August, we got really nervous. I called Jeanne and she told me not to worry, that it was too early to tell what Charley is going to do and that she was watching it closely. A couple of days later the Keys started the tourist evacuations and we were so afraid that our vacation was ruined for sure. Well, the hurricane shifted (Jeanne was right) and we could breathe again except for the worry that we would not be able to get gas or would encounter damage. Then Hurricane Frances hit lower Florida, and we thought we would not be able to get there for sure. To make matters worse, Hurricane Ivan was lingering below threatening to head up toward Florida also!! I talked to Jeanne to find out what our options were and she said we could either rebook for a later date or cancel and get our money back. We really did not want to cancel our trip or move it to a later date, we were ready to go!! Finally, it looked like we could get there with little or no trouble. But, Ivan was going to hit the panhandle and would hit Huntsville right at the day we were going to leave (we live in Huntsville!). I called Jeanne and she offered for us to come down early. We decided to go for it and leave on the evening of the 15th, the day before Ivan made landfall. We drove down through Georgia and Ivan was going up through Alabama. What a relief-we went for it and got there with no trouble at all. The condo was perfect and felt just like home, the weather was GREAT, and there was so much waiting for us to do and we decided to stay an extra day! This was a trip that my husband has wanted to make for years and we weren't going to let 3 Hurricane's ruin it for us..... Thanks to Bob & Jeri for your wonderful condo and to Jeanne for all your help and patience!!

Dear Paula & Jean, , I have been trying to find the time to write to you about out trip at Sea Glass. All I can say is INCREDIBLE!!!!! We loved everything about the place. Every morning and evening we were in awe of the views from our bedroom and living area. The new dock was wonderful and we must have caught 200 fish throughout the week. It was soooo much fun. The weather was great too. Alot of wind but at least it kept the heat down. We would like to try and come back next year but stay for two weeks instead of one. Thanks again for all your help with EVERYTHING. You were very pleasant to work. We wouldn't have changed a thing. WE DO need a bigger boat to get out further into the ocean to catch larger fish but hopefully we will have that taken care of next year. Sincerely, Jennifer B

Finally got around to writing how wonderful our stay was, to much work back here in reality! I want to thank you so much for letting us rent your absolutely beautiful condo. Besides the incredible views out of the bedroom balcony I really liked to sit out there at night after the day was winding down and really relax and reflect on the beauty of the keys. It was so peaceful to sit out there. The decor was great, made us really feel comfortable like we were home, I particularly liked the lighting and art work. (My daughter liked the padded stairs!) The badges to Inch Beach really paid off. We had planned a few days around Sombrero beach but each day we got there we found a sea weed slick right on the shore. We did Bahia Honda one day which was fun but crowded so a few of the other days we were pleasantly surprised to have our own little private beach with perfect water. I could not get my 18 month old out of the water the entire trip, she just loves the water, just like Dad :) I know for sure we will be back, hopefully we get lucky again and find an open week! Thanks Again! Sincerely, Brandon, Fabiola, & Mariella

August 20, 2008 ALL we can say is WOW! What a blast we had! We LOVE the Keys and our favorite is Marathon! Thank you so much for assisting in the best vacation I have ever had! Our family loved it! I know you asked for feedback and any updates so here ya go..... 1. The townhouse was awesome! Very clean, very spacious, perfect location for everything. 2. We took your advice on several of the local restaurants....The Island Tiki Bar and Sparky's Landings are our all round favorites! 3. We fished every night off the dock at Seaglass....what fun! We bought fishing rods that ended up being too large to carry home. So we left them for future renters...hope they bring them good luck! Thank you again for a job well done and for making my family happy! Let Bob know that we think his place is awesome and we hope to return again!

March 15 thru 28. We are from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and this was our first trip to the Keys. What a fabulous place!!!! We loved running to Coco Plum Beach and playing Frisbee in the pool. Doing Yoga on the balcony and walking on 7 mile bridge. Saw an amazing number of rays- even a shark. Walking Bahia Honda beach; the art galleries in Key West; chilled chardonnay on the balcony at the end of the day. We had the best shrimp we have ever eaten. Recommend the short walk to Sparky's for lunch or dinner. Your place was everything we hoped for. The kitchen was very well equipped and we had many wonderful seafood meals. Thanks for sharing this beautiful place. Barb Maxwell
