Cottage known as the “Hillcrest” is a completely renovated home. 1150 sq ft, 3 bedrooms, (2 full bed, 2 twin, 1 bunk bed "full and twin" ), House can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people with linens/towels provided, Heated, Master bathroom with full tub & shower, 1/2 bathroom on first floor, Also a nice personal outdoor shower. KITCHEN with breakfast bar, The kitchen has all the amenities, All new appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, cooking utensils, cookware and a coffee maker. Propane grill, picnic table and screen house. SPACIOUS living room and dining room, Master bedroom has spiral staircase to room. Farmer’s porch with chairs. House is equipped with Washer/dryer. DIRECT TV with excellent channel package, WIRELESS Internet. VCRs DVD and plenty of movies, books and board games for inside entertainment. Beach chairs and BIKES are available. Floors are laminate, hardwood or Pine floors. Nice 3/4 acre lot with front and side yard. The house has water views from porch and master bedroom with a beautiful beach that is on the other side of the street. A VEHICLE : 1997 Mercury Villager is provided for renter use.
Long Island, a Island full of history, is a 45 minute ferry ride from Portland. Frequent daily ferry service supplied by Casco Bay lines. Long Island has multiple white sand beautiful beaches for you to enjoy on the island that is 2 ½ miles long and ½ mile wide. The Island has two general stores,Take out and a Sit down Sandwhich shop, post office, gift shop, library (internet access), playground, conservation trails, excellent fishing, tennis courts, many community activities, great lobster vendors and an unbelievable sunset. Portland gives you access to great restaurants, pubs, shopping, museums, sporting events and a multitude of cultural activities.

Fantastic Getaway for a couple or family!

My family of six enjoyed Hillcrest. The cottage was comfortable and clean. The photo's are great but do not show all that Hillcrest and the surrounding island have to offer. Beach access was easy and the beach offered a feeling of privacy. Our children enjoyed the freedom to explore and create their own island adventure. The owners were very helpful and made our stay wonderful. My wife and I highly recommend this rental property to all. We will be back!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
