I traveled to mountain view not knowing what I was in for... The trip could not have been more perfect! Upon arrival we were greeted with the most breath taking view of the bluffs and the white river. We were able to meet the neighbors on our trip and they are some of the most kind, generous, happy people(Just like the owners). We went out on the river (on a boat from Jack's less than 2 minutes away) and were greeted by a mature bald eagle just down the river. The scenery was amazing!!! Then we traveled to Baxter County just a short trip away and saw a HUGE black bear crossing the road!!! What an experience! The next day we had the pleasure of stumbling upon mirror lake inside Blanchard caverns national park. If you enjoy fishing, caving, or hiking this is the most astonishing place ever and only 9 miles from the cabin!!!! The fishing there was great, caught around 20 fish in only 2 hours. The cabin itself was excellent. From the comfort of the beds, the cleanliness, the temperature the DECK, the view, the AWESOME decor, to neighbors who all were so welcoming this is a true gem in Mountain view not to miss. The owners were very helpful and understanding as well. I loved being able to bring my dog! Thank you both for allowing my brother and I to have the fishing trip of a lifetime!!! You have earned lifelong customers!

After staying at the Reel Retreat, my only regret is not taking a longer vacation. The word "cozy" easily describes the cabin, with its comfortable furnishing and wonderful decor. Square footage is small, but the layout is such that we never felt cramped. The size would be perfect for couples or small families. In our case, we had our two dogs in lieu of children and they had a blast chasing each other around the expansive backyard when they weren't sacked out by the wood burning stove. It should be noted that the neighbors are very close by. We had a bit of trepidation about this at first, but the neighbors we met were very friendly, and others seemed to not be around (perhaps vacation rentals as well?). I get the feeling that had we stayed longer, we would have hardly noticed the close quarters in the end. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the Reel Retreat and would definitely return if in the area.

this cabin was pretty ideal. perfectly decorated to make you feel warm and cozy, plus 2 indoor fireplaces which were fantastic, especially loved using the one in the kitchen. the view from the back door is amazing, and my favorite part is that they allowed pets so i was able to bring my 2 dogs along. my boyfriend and i are already talking about going back for the summer. *2 thumbs up*

Plenty of room in this cabin for us and our three kids. Nice having two TVs so the kids could watch their shows in the living area and we could have football on in the kitchen. The views from the deck were great whether looking at the cliff across the river or an eagle flying along the river. Caught some trout and it was a quick drive to Blanchard Springs. Convenient to the city for amenities which was nice. A great Thanksgiving for our family.

Enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Weather didn't cooperate but the cabin was nice and clean and the view from the back deck is everything it was advertised to be. I look forward to returning sometime soon.

Another simply delightful stay! A wonderful compliment to a fun filled vacation. Oh...and the new deck facing the river and overlying bluff wasn't bad either. Highly recommend both the cabin and owners. Will be back again!!

We rented this cabin in mid-October and had a great stay. Great waterfront location (White River) with stunning bluffs immediately on the other side. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, with plenty of room for 4-5 people. Spacious kitchen and living room. Nice bar in the living room for hanging out. Friendly neighbors. Fantastic deck out back. Very dog friendly, especially the expansive backyard that leads down to the river. We didn't fish, but if you're into mountain biking, there's world class trails on the other side of the river (Syllamo Trails)...about 40 miles or so. We'll definitely be returning in the spring...

This is now my "new favorite" place to stay in the Mtn. View area. Being a Geologist I love the proximity to water, trails, and caves. Also convenient to music, restaurants, and shopping. Extremely "owner friendly". A great place to relax and focus on some of the true basics of life. You can bet I'll be back!

We stayed 2 nights but wish it could have been longer. The weather was perfect and the neighborhood so friendly. One of our dogs made a lot of new friends when he went out for his walk. Our other dog is recovering from knee surgery, and the cabin was IDEAL for her being all one level. We were so thankful to find a place that allows dogs, esp. big dogs. We enjoy vacationing more when we can all go together. The cabin was so clean and comfortable. The decorations were tasteful and added to the ambiance without making you feel like you were in someone else's home. We appreciated the proximity to the Caverns for the Wild Cave Tour that 2 of us went on (they loved it!) while the other of us (me) found she had nothing more important to do than sit w/ the dogs on the deck and watch the river. It was bliss. We highly recommend this property and these owners, and we are already making plans to return!

What a great place to relax! The cabin was easy to find and exactly as expected: beautiful, comfortable, welcoming. We enjoyed meals and game night on the deck overlooking the river, and had room enough inside to gather with the whole family when it finally rained. The cabin is close enough to town for runs in for supplies, and a great location for putting the fishing boat in. The owners were wonderful to work with and had everything we needed for the long weekend. The trip couldn't have been better.

Perfect place for a weekend getaway. Very accomodating. We were able to bring out 2 small dogs which made the kids happy. View of the river and the bluffs in the morning while eating breakfast was georgous. Spent 2 days at the caverns nearby and had an experience of a lifetime doing the wild cave tour. Close to town for dinner runs in the evening.

We had a wonderful time at your cabin! The cabin has nice furnishings, very comfortable beds, a pretty view, and a great spot to fish! It is very close to the main hwy, right behind Anglers, which makes it simple/fast getting into town for the nights you want to go to the square for some great music!

This cabin was perfect for the weekend! Cute decor, clean, great deck, and stocked full of everything you need for the perfect weekend away. The owners were friendly and easy to get a hold of. They even shipped back my favorite pillow I had left. The neighbors even invited us for dinner! I love the South!

We had enjoyed the beautiful cabin and had felt 'right at home'. The view of the river and the bluffs was splendid as well as observing the many, many different species of birds. The blue birds were busy and proud parents. The Sunday morning sunrise was beautiful as well as the sound of the roaring waterfall across the river. Thank you for sharing the Reel Retreat!

We had a wonderful time - thanks so much for allowing us to rent your cabin. Weather was perfect - got in some good hikes. Your cabin exceeded our expectations and we certainly hope to return again soon. We'll definitely recommend your cabin to our friends! Also loved the waterfall coming off the bluff and the beautiful pair of bluebirds that frequented your deck and back yard!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was clean and very comfortable. The view from the deck was beautiful. The river, framed by background cliffs, is a truly spectacular setting. The fishing was excellent. Trout are extremely fun to catch and we caught the limit. A boat can be rented just up the river or you can fish from the bank. The next time we plan a fishing / relaxing trip, we'll stay here again.
