The cabin was beautiful! It had everything we needed, very comfortable and roomy. The owners were so friendly and helpful. Only a short distance to the lake to go swimming and boating. The deer came out every evening that we watched from the balcony. There was 5 of us and our little dog, who wore himself out going up and down the stairs, even he was excited! We were so impressed and it was so nice not to have to stay in a cramped hotel room, we will definately stay here again now that we know about it. You won't be dissapointed, we loved it!!!

When my sister in NJ said they were going to Crater of Diamonds for vacation this year, we decided to meet them there since it was so close (we live in TX). I started looking and found this quaint little cabin in the woods at what I considered a steal...was I ever right! We had a marvelous time, relaxed, fished, watched the wildlife from the deck, and basically just enjoyed the heck out of this tidy, comfortable little hideaway in the woods! So if you're looking for a place to stay and really enjoy Arkansas, I would highly recommend the Cowhide Cove Cabin at Lake Greeson! We could not have been happier! Thomas and Judy are wonderful! The water park at the Crater of Diamonds park is quite refreshing and reasonably priced. Hot Springs is within an hour of the cabin and is a very interesting and diverse place to visit. A couple of notes: 1 - Cell phone reception (AT&T) at the cabin is nonexistent until you get up the hill; 2 - there is no Internet at the cabin...thought I would miss is, but quickly learned that I didn't! and 3 - this area is 'dry', so either bring enough 'adult beverages' for your entire stay, or be prepared to drive a bit to get to a 'wet' county! All part of the charm, honestly! We loved our time at the Cabin!!

We had great time! The cabin was just as described and very comfortable...especially the big recliners! We dug for diamonds one day and visited the Indian site on the other. Both were fun. We also ate several places in town. The Mexican place was good, as well as Campbell's. Our favorite place was Buddy's. We plan on coming back soon and will definitely stay here again!

Wonderfully detailed, spectacularly quiet- a little ways down from Hot Springs- very private feeling- not too many people around the gorgeous Lake Greeson, but plenty of cute deer! Spacious home, great land. You can cook, watch tv, take in the sights and relax very well here- quite comfy- the perfect get-a-way from it all. Owner extremely helpful- thanks Thomas.

A friend and I just spent five days at the cabin, and loved every minute of it. The place was even better than we expected: super comfortable beds, huge recliners, big screen t.v. -- everything you could want, and at such a great price. We were a little disappointed in the diamond mining experience, but two days (yeah, it was that good) at Wegner's quartz crystal mine more than made up for it, and the bath experience at Hot Springs was the perfect way to end our stay and soothe sore muscles. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone vacationing in the vicinity. One cautionary note: a GPS is not a reliable bet in Arkansas: you would be wise to run off MapQuest directions from the cabin to places you are thinking of going.

I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay in the area. It has everything you need for a perfect country get away. And its in the middle of everything! The diamond mine is a short drive, access to the little Missouri is close by, lake Greeson is close by, Daisy state park is close by. It's the perfect middle of no where spot that's in the middle of everything. Bonus - There are two balconies - one off each room - so if you stay with a friend both get a room with a balcony!! An awesome patio with an awesome grill that makes for a perfect evening of cooking and kicking back on the patio watching the birds and wildlife in the backyard after a long day of diamond mining or swimming. The renters are also very hospitable! You an tell they enjoy spending time at their cabin as much as their guests do. It is very well kept and maintained. Our overall experience at this cabin has been better than most of the places we have rented in the area. It's definitely a 5 star place in my book!

We found this cabin a great getaway! The cabin is minutes just from town and the area attractions. It is spacious inside & out. We spent hours sitting on the back deck enjoying the peace and quiet with virtually no one around. Great BBQ grill right out the back door. Our favorite part at night was stargazing. We found the owner Thomas, to be as good as gold! We cannot wait to return!

We were so happy with the cabin. It is so much bigger on the inside than it looks from outside. My husband and I loved the recliners. We enjoyed the diamond hunting video and supplies. We didn't have any luck, but what an experience. We'll be back.

We had such a good time at the cabin! There was plenty of room, and it was remote enough to feel private while being close enough to Murfreesboro to get in and out quickly. For pet owners, the backyard area is huge and your dogs will enjoy romping around--I know ours did! Thomas and Judy have done a great job with the cabin. There is a large packet of information that is very extensive, and it is really helpful for anyone looking for anything to do in the area. The owners are so friendly and will do anything to help you out! We will definitely be making a return trip...once the weather is cooler!!

This was our first time using VRBO and I was very pleased. The cabin is fully stocked, in fact they supplied things I didn't even expect. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The cabin is in a nice out of the way area that is very peaceful but close enough to everything you need. The cabin was very clean and everything was in good working order. (thank God for good A/C!) The cabin has plenty of room too, my wife and I and our three children stayed there for a little over a week and everyone was comfortable and happy. As far as the list of activities on their site we did them all except for the amusement park. The Caddo river float trip was a blast and the scenery was beautiful. We also went to the diamond mine and had allot of fun but sorry no diamond! ( but there was a nice one found while we were there) And the fishing on lake Greeson was good too. It was a little hot for fishing but we still had fun. You cant go wrong with this place and you would be hard pressed to find nicer folks to deal with. Thank you for opening your home to us.

I would definitely recommend this property - and, I plan on staying here again the next time I plan a trip to this area. The owner was very helpful and responsive. The cabin met or exceeded all of our expectations and the listing description and photos were very accurate. The cabin and property around it were clean and well-maintained. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for our belongings. The cabin is a short distance from a very nice lake which offers a variety of activities in addition to the fishing that it appears to be well known for. We went to a beach area to go swimming. There is also a place at the lake to grab a bite to eat. And, the scenery was beautiful - we were even lucky enough to see the sunset on the lake! The lake was a bonus because that's not the reason we chose this cabin. Our plans were to find a place to stay in Murfreesboro so that we could visit the Crater of Diamonds State Park and go diamond hunting. This was a perfect location for that. The drive from the cabin to the park was only about 20 minutes. There is also a grocery store and some places to pick up something to eat in town, only about 10-15 minutes from the cabin. In addition to going diamond hunting, we visited a local crystal mine and collected some pretty crystals and we drove to Hot Springs to go to the amusement park there (only about an hour away) - Magic Springs & Crystal Falls. As a bonus, if you live in a big city like we do, you'll appreciate seeing lightning bugs & seeing the stars at night! :) The owner has gone out of the way to help you enjoy your stay by providing a handy folder full of helpful information about the area. If you're going diamond hunting, try to find time to watch the DVD they have at the cabin - it's full of great advice!
