This property envelops you as you enter from the street. Every detail is exquisitely executed giving you the sensation of newness, something you have never seen or experienced before. Aptly named a “petite resort,” this place is anything but a mere “vacation rental.” Our party spent the first 36 hours just being blown away. After that, it was pure pleasure and relaxation in what is a stunning and wild section of the Mexican coastline.

I just returned from an eight day vacation at Greg’s unreal beach house located at the gateway to the East Cape. Just 10 to 15 minute drive to Cabo San Jose, it is close enough to run into town for groceries but far enough to feel like you are away from the riff raff in San Jose. The beach out front is incredibly beautiful and pretty much empty. The kayaks and SUPs provided at the house are really sweet. The place is like a mini resort and the 11 of us never felt like we were on top of one another. Greg was always helpful and the staff kept the place spotless. Can’t wait to go back.

Very incredible home. The owner has this place right. We travel the world and we have not see a property quite like this. It's very unique. Talk about unwinding and relaxation! We walked in stressed from life in the big city and didn't want to leave after the second day. We actually extended our stay an extra day. It still wasn't enough time. You don't want to leave this beautiful home. Upon our arrival we had Greg, the owner, arrange for the Mexican taqueria dinner buffet, which was a great suggestion. We were tired from traveling all day and the last thing we wanted to do was to go out to eat. The dinner buffet was great. We had the Mexican taqueria back 2 additional evenings. I can't say enough about it! They come to the house set up, cook, serve you and clean up while you sit back and relax! It was really the best choice since none of us wanted to leave the unbeatable view! We got lost in our day just hanging out by the pool watching the marine life. Whales and dolphins were putting on a great show right in front of the house. The sunrises and sunsets here are incredible, none like I've ever seen before. We had access to stand up paddle boards, kayaks, surfboards and snorkel gear. It's all top of the line equipment. An unexpected treat was buying fresh oysters right out front on the beach from the local oyster divers! The beach is secluded and quiet. Occasionally we would see people horseback riding along the shoreline. Greg was very informative about dining in town which some people in our group wanted to experience. My wife and I preferred to cook in this great al fresco kitchen and listen to the great sound system, not to mention the large, state of the art flat screen TV. Also the Wi Fi is great here on the property. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for relaxation and peace. This place has it all. The pictures don't do it justice, to say the least. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The detail and quality of this home are seen in every place you look! We look forward to returning in the near future. We are so lucky to find this place, Greg has really carved out a piece of paradise for all to enjoy. Thanks again Greg for your hospitality and letting us experience such a life style.

My Swell Vacation At The Beach With My Large Group Of Friends!!!

I wanted to share my experience I had at this relaxing, beautiful, peaceful property! First let me say the photos are great but the real thing is beyond what the pictures show! The villas are set up so you feel like you have complete privacy and have your own private beach, yet all my friends we just steps away! It was such a great trip for all of us since we wanted to eat, catch up and visit together yet enjoy our beautiful surroundings and all the activities this place has to offer! We all had such an amazing time. It seemed impossible to make a large group of 10 people happy but we all were beyond happy and relaxed! Greg was so helpful and always close at hand to answer any question we had. There are kayaks and stand up paddle boards to take out in the ocean if you want to take a closer look at the whales or other sea creatures all around! It was such a great vacation we are picking our dates to meet up at this wonderful property again next year!

My second time vacationing here and I am still in awe. I was in complete amazement from the moment I arrived. It is a wonderful area and a great property. There is so much to do wether you are with family or friends and want to all gather together or escape on your own. This property offers so much neither words or photos can fully or accuratley describe the feeling of true relaxation in this beachfront paradise.One must really experience the awesome views and comfort of Salina del Mar to truly appreciate it. (Greg) the owner was more than accomodating, and having private chefs and a masseuse come right to the property made it even more relaxing. You can watch whales, dolphins the sunrise and set again right from the property. It is truly a relaxing Get- Away!! Thanks for creating such a great vacation spot Greg.

The listing does not do this beachfront "garden of Eden" justice! From the moment I walked in the front gate, I was in awe at the majestic view of greenery and cactuses leading down the walkway to the beautiful beach. The villas, apartments and teepee are all amazing and more than comfortable, exceeding all of my expectations (more than my honeymoon did a few years ago at a very high-end resort). The common kitchen area and dining room have everything you need to make your feasts, not to mention the full kitchens in the villas! The property was clean and wonderful, as was the staff. The pool was beautiful, and there was plenty of locations around the property to relax and soak in the view. The owner also has two beach kayaks and two paddle boards for use, which was a blast! You get the feeling you are in your own private resort! Not to mention within walking distance is Buzzard's restaurant, offering up some amazing authentic food. Finally, sitting at one of the palapas in the early morning, watching the whales and the sunrise, with good friends and new friends, was the best experience one can ask for. I would highly, highly recommend this property to everyone. You will not be disappointed!

If you are planning a trip to Los Cabos, and want to relax at a gorgeous private home on the beach you can do no better. Lay on the playa, relax in a palapa and watch the spectacular sunrises/sunsets from the deck, or do nothing at all - it's your choice. There is plenty of action whale watching, and if you would like to get a little closer there are kayaks and stand-up boards for you to get out on. Make delicious meals in the open air kitchen, or have excellent Mexican fare prepared for you by private chefs. You will be amazed by the attention to detail and the design aspects of this property. From the moment you arrive, to the sad moment when you must depart all your expectations will be exceeded. If you want to get away from it all this is the place to go!

This is our second stay at this property. 4 of us stayed 9 days at this beautifully maintained private beachfront resort. Every morning we woke to breathtaking sunrises. Our days consisted of kayaking, whale watching, fishing and enjoying Swedish messages all without ever leaving the property. The owner, Greg, made arrangements for our husbands to fish on the Sea of Cortez, tee times for our golf outings and scheduled a chef to prepare an authentic Mexican dinner one evening. I can't say enough about the attention to detail the owner takes with everything all resulting in a wonderfully memorable experience. The linens and beds were completely deluxe. Each of our villas were equipped with everything a person could need or want. The sunsets were exquisite. I can't wait to go back. I highly recommend this property.

My stay at Selena Del Mar was the best vacation I ever had in Mexico. I am a lover of the ocean and to have the sea as my backyard and the waves as my background music was the most soothing and relaxing feeling. There are kayaks, longboards and other water sports equipment for your use. I enjoyed kayaking almost everyday especially being out among the whales and other sea life. Fishing is my thing and we fished the surf right in front of the villa. The marina is a few minutes down the beach, so renting a boat through the villa owner is a must do for fishing enthusiasts. Salina Del Mar has everything you could need or want. On other vacations in Mexico, we were always going places. On this trip we didn't want to go anywhere we were content to relax and enjoy the beauty of Salina Del Mar. The creative construction using natural stone , built ins , tropical plants and unique designs are what make the villa so comfortable to relax in. Every casita has modern conveniences with creative designs and ocean views that soothe your soul. The open air palapa kitchen and dining area was the center hub. Preparing your meals or snacks while overlooking the Sea of Cortez was one of my favorites areas to spend time in. The large screen tv, satellite,DVD player and music was in this area. Football playoffs were a treat to watch while drinking cold beer and hanging out by the pool! There is no better way to start the day then waking up every morning to watch the sunrise on the Sea of Cortez with a cup of coffee in hand, very spiritual! Words and pictures do not do the villa justice, you have to experience it first hand to get the feeling this place has to offer. The staff is extremely accommodating and all the furnishings, beds, appliances and linens very high end. The villa is immaculate. We are definitely going back again. This is my kind of vacation place. Salina Del Mar is a hidden gem!

Paradise on the Sea of Cortez!

My husband and I just spent 9 days with friends at this amazing beachfront resort! The resort is amazingly designed and furnished with tropical gardens and casitas around a large central outdoor kitchen with state of the art appliances, granite counters, a big screen tv with satellite and surround sound. It was a pleasure to cook in the kitchen with such an incredible view! The many comfortable chairs, tables, lounges, built in sofas and fire pits on multiple patios, built on different levels allows guests to relax in private or gather together to watch unbelievable sunrises and sunsets! The casitas are luxuriously furnished with comfortable beds, wonderful linens and incredible bathrooms. They all have kitchens and views. We watched whales with their babies, dolphins, seals and manta rays right from the resort. The beach has so few people on it, it feels like a private beach. The property is immaculate and the staff is great. The owner really knows the area well and is most accommodating, he set up great, massages for us on the highest patio overlooking the sea and a fishing trip out to Gordo Bay. The "boys" returned with delicious dorado and wahoo. We stopped at Costco to pick up food and drinks, but the resort has everything else you might need. Some of the amenities include kayaks, paddle boards, surfboards, pool toys and snorkel gear. Salina Del Mar is in an incredible location right on the Sea of Cortez and we can't wait to go back to paradise!

Incredible Trip... Can't Wait to Go Back!

I recently returned from a week at this property and can't say enough about our wonderful experience. We have been scheming a way to go back next year since we started packing to leave. Greg was incredibly helpful with suggestions and recommendations as I coordinated a trip for 11 of us including two babies. The property is remote - on a pristine private beach with a show of wildlife that kept us happily entertained the whole trip. The property is even more lush and beautiful than the photos show and the staff keep it immaculate. The grocery store was only 15 minutes away and after we stocked up we found that we really had no reason to leave! We didn't find Flora Farms until the day before we left but we would certainly shop there for local produce next time! We used this trip as a business planning retreat with our families and it provided ample room for spouses and kids to play while our team held daily meetings. We are a group who has traveled the world and we currently manage a 5 star restaurant so our expectations are high.... what a treat to be blown away. I highly recommend Greg's home and also want this little corner of the world to stay a secret... it's perfect just as it is!

Exceeded expectations all the way around. Location is excellent. We had, in essence, our own private beach and it felt as if we were in "the Corona commercial" ..... just watching the waves with no distractions (though of course the WiFi for Fantasy Football purposes was a bonus along with the big screen and bbq). The owners clearly take pride in their large, unique, "modern feeling" property. Very clean, well maintained, attention is paid to detail. We relaxed without having to work at it. We will return again and highly recommend it to others.

My wife and I went with 3 other couples for a 3 day weekend get away. This was the perfect place to relax and just enjoy quiet paradise. This house is only 25 minutes from Cabo airport. The property is well laid out with each couple having their bedroom and bathroom. The property is right on the beach, which is basically all yours because you will hardly see anyone else your entire stay on the beach. The ocean is warm but why do the ocean when the pool is a perfect temperature and is right on the beach overlooking the ocean. Very safe area... because no one else was around. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to relax and enjoy a quiet paradise.

The property is amazing from your first step in the door. Each villa has its own bedroom, bath, and kitchenette. The main kitchen is HUGE and has all the amenities to cook any meal. The property has wi-fi (for those who must work while traveling) TV, surround sound (great for music by the pool) and several roof top decks to check out the sunsets. This is a great place to go with friends or family. The views are breathtaking, you are steps from the sand and we even saw whales while lounging by the pool. The staff is amazing!!! This is truly a luxury getaway on the East Cape.

Gaines Family Get-away

The accommodations exceeded my expectations. Greg has created so many individualized areas with comfortable seating and magnificent views that everyone in a travel group can find their space. Sun, shade, conversation, solitude, poolside, ocean view, hot tub, fire side seating, a beach walk; it's all here. And for those who love the surf, he offers great water toys - 2 surfboards, 2 paddleboards, 2 kyaks, and 4 sets of top quality snorkel gear. Much of our party spent lots of time in the surf. We used the central palapa for all dining and socializing. It was the perfect size for our group of 10 people. Each of the sleeping rooms have some very special feature so everyone was happy with their personal space. Upon arrival the most repeated comment was "is this all ours"? We used Flora's Farm (5 minute drive) to get our eggs & bacon. The best ever!!! Other groceries we bought at Mega (back into San Jose del Cabo) about 15 minutes by car. It was one of the most relaxing and fun vacations ever. Every person in our group wants a repeat next year. The owner, Greg, is very likable. He was on site and very easy to track down when we needed help with details. His employees keep the property immaculate. We are experienced travelers and accustomed to four and five star accommodations; this property will not disappoint!

thanksgiving mexico

My family and i recently rented this villa for a long thanksgiving weekend and were completely blown away. When i walked in i thought that the front door was the entrance to a bunch of villa's...nope the whole place was ours. The pictures dont do it justice it is so much larger and beautiful in person. There are numerous amazing lookout spots all over the place so its perfect for 1-6 couples to have their own little area to chill. Hot tub and pool are great the water was like bath water but then again the water in the sea of cortez, just a hundred feet down the beach was like bath water as well. Along with cool sea life and a shipwreck that i personally never found but will next year are all cool fun things to have in the water. The owner greg is a awesome guy who along with having kayaks and paddle boards for us to use let us borrow his own surfboards when we needed. Great restaurant down the road called buzzards. All in all it was a great experience and am looking forward to renting it again next year.

Amazing again

Once again returned with a large group of friends, incredible trip. Property is layed out perfectly for relaxing or partying, right on the sand with an almost private spot of beach. Greg arranged for the chef to come and prepare dinner for us, fridge was stocked, wi fi was a great bonus as well as satellite TV. Puerto Los Cabos marina is a 10 minute drive down the hill, which was great because of our fishing trip. Basically, we never had to leave. Great tip and we will definitely be back!

Another perfect trip to Salina Del Mar...

We had a group of 18 people, half at the residence next door and half at Salina Del Mar. Our trip couldn't have been better! Greg arranged catering for us, made sure everyone was comfortable and we had the run of both properties. Salina Del Mar never gets old for us and we plan on coming back again and again. On one of the days, the guys took an incredible fishing trip out of the nearby Puerto Los Cabos Marina but most of our time was spent with everyone just hanging out at the pool. With a great stereo system, satelite TV, and lots of amenities, there was something to do for everyone all day/night long. One other thing that's great about Salina Del Mar is the free Wi-Fi. Everyone was able to check in with their kids multiple times on their cell phones free of charge because of the wi-fi service, so that was very helpful! We can't wait to get back down there! Thanks to Greg for making it a great stay once again.

Pinching myself

Upon arrival I felt as if I had entered another world. I walked through huge wooden doors into paradise. After winding through lush tropical gardens,I found my casita excellently appointed with 500 thread count sheets, a variety of down and down alternative pillows. My full, state of the art, chef's kitchen was complete with a wine cooler. This attention to detail makes this small resort casual but elegant. My patio had an unparelleled view of the Sea of Cortez, perfect for whale watching! It's hard to imagine a place this beautiful exists at all but to have it be right smack in the middle of a whale nursery where you can watch the mother whales with their calves making the journey toward the Pacific Ocean is truly incredible.I pinched myself every morning when I awoke to breathtaking sunrises (which I could see from my bed) I can't wait to return to Salina del Mar and my casitia on the beach.The owner of this property is most accommodating.

What a wonderful surprise upon arriving at Salina del Mar this past Christmas! The pictures do not do it justice. It is an amazing property perfectly situated just outside of San Jose...well maintained...many upgrades...We shared the property with another family of 5 - many great memories in fact almost booked for this year but thought that we should leave it for someone else to enjoy. Ideal for 5 couples....Ideal for a special birthday with friends....girls weekend....family re-union.....Greg took wonderful care of us - going above and beyond. We will be back to Salina del Mar! Spectacular holiday in every way!

Serenity Now! at Salina Del Mar

From the moment we arrived, we shifted into relaxation gear. Is it possible to make a eco-friendly resort decadent? Owner Greg has found a way to blend the two! My husband and I would stumble from bed to breakfast and to the beach with ease. The biggest stress of our vacation was deciding whether or not to whale watch from one of the many patio's or walk a few steps to the beach. In the evening there were beautiful fire pits to sit near, and enjoy a glass of wine and the sound of crashing waves. A beautiful, romantic setting is difficult to leave, but there were activities that tried to pry us from our lounge chairs and pina coladas; I favored yoga on the deck and kayaking, when I was able to part from my lounge; my husband preferred the stand up board and surfing. Owner Greg was very helpful in many ways, such as finding a great massage therapist that came right to Salina Del Mar, as well as a chef for evenings that we did not care to cook. We were in heaven, that is why we will return for a third visit as soon as we can!

I've stayed at Salina Del Mar on many occaisions and it's always a phenominal time. The place is kept in perfect conditions, the location is incredible, the pool and grounds are all well maintained. I just can't get enough of this place! On our last stay, we spent most of our time enjoying the sun by the pool but we also went fishing and played golf...both activities are very close to Salina Del Mar. I've been to Salina Del Mar with groups as large as 15 and as small as four people and we always have a blast. I plan on going back for many years to come.

I had such a great time at Salina del Mar. Spending the holidays there is so peaceful and relaxing! There is a lot to do, apart from kayaking and snorkeling I tried the stand up paddle board and saw lots of fish and mantaray jumping while standing up, it was so amazing to be on the sea of Cortez w/ so much to look at! It is aways such a treat to see the whales as well, where else can you get a 'front row' seat while sipping my morning coffee or wine at sunset! My family and I had the best Christmas and New Year we have ever had spending it at this wonderful resort! We will be back! Thanks again for such an amazing experience!

Breathtaking to say the least...but so much more! We are in love with this location, won't stay anywhere else. Been here several times...sunrise & sunsets like none other. Always see whales & mantaray! Kayaking is awesome, the water is so clear, you get to see "sea" life. My husband knows I need to go at LEAST once a year, it is serenity!

Thanks for a "best of" vacation. Your house is stunning, the views amazing. We loved seeing the whales, sea lion and manta rays. We can not wait to return to your place!
