Year Purchased: 2002
Michael Bailey is the developer of the Trade Winds Condotel and is still an owner. Michael was born in the UK and lived in Canada for a number of years before first visiting the island of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands in 1986.
Why the Owner Chose Grace Bay
Because I am a permanent resident of the islands and for many years maintain a holiday home before developing the Trade Winds Condotel.

We stayed 3 nights at the Tradewinds and enjoyed it. This is very good value if you don't mind the short walk to the beach. The unit is huge and offers maid service daily (which many others do not). The balcony furniture was new, kitchen well equipped,beach towels provided. The super-efficient air conditioning units cooled the condo down within minutes but was rarely required . The property itself is very pretty and lush..and within easy walking distance to grocery shopping and many restaurants and hotels. We did not use the pool BBQ. That area could use a bit of attention. The owner, Mike, is wonderful to deal with. He responded immediately to all queries and honestly couldn't have done more to ensure our stay was trouble-free. Thanks Mike! As an FYI .do not go to the beach without a sun umbrella which is provided in the unit. The bugs come out at sundown so repellent is a good idea. If you have children to entertain at night check that your unit has a DVD player. .not all do.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children.
