Jack Nottingham - the distinguished Dallas architect and Charles Dillon the talented Taos area builder (local works include Taos Country Club, El Monte Sagrado Resort Bar area) combined their talents on Casa Granada to construct a two story contemporary adobe home that rests in harmony with the bold mountain ranges in the background and spanning Rio Grande River in the foreground.

Your Dream Taos vacation- Relax and enjoy the Sun!: Our home is located on a three acre cul de sac between Hole 9 and 10 in the exclusive gated community of Taos Country Club. Each room in the house was designed and orientated to provide a unique vantage point to truly appreciate the best of Taos's unique landscape. The great room facing Taos Ski Valley was designed for entertainment in mind, family and friends will enjoy the 20 foot ceilings and extra large glass windows to take in the amazing views. Picture yourself starting your day gazing out over the rising sun or relaxing in the evening with a nice glass of wine as you rest by the fireplace taking it all in. The fully fitted kitchen will meet the standards of even the most discerning master chefs as we truly enjoy putting our culinary skills to practice.

Granite counter tops are featured throughout the house and the kitchen is no exception. It is fully loaded with the top of the line GE Profile appliances offering the best in contemporary design matched with the latest kitchen technologies. Every appliance displays a sleek, cosmopolitan and modern look that matches your every last taste in the kitchen and home. The kitchen is designed with a unique multi purpose center island that features a large contoured granite bar (with four bar stools) a prep area and built in office/desk work space with storage areas, drawers, Wi-Fi and a fax/scanner/printer. The dining area features custom designed steel table from Zog the colorful patterns are made from heat patterns by arc welders and encased in brilliant lacquer. The six matching chairs are so comfortable you'll be tempted to have one more glass of wine before retiring to the great room.
The great room has an extra large set of black leather sofas and chairs, situated around the fireplace and large screen TV, DVD/VCR with Dish Network(HBO/Showtime)and a state of the art Bose speaker system (also featured in the kitchen, master bedroom suite and master bathroom). Take a stroll down the hallway on the left wing of the house past one of the 3.5 bathrooms to the Master Suite wing. Relax in your huge Master Bedroom far away from the hustle and bustle of the kitchen and great room with your own fireplace, covered porch, built-in- entertainment set (Bose speakers, stereo, CD/DVD and Picture in Picture TV with Dish Network). The real treasure awaits you in the Master bathroom, a spacious twin top of the line Kohler brushed stainless steel sinks sunken in custom steel blue marble. The master bathroom is illuminated by a seven foot diameter dome skylight and sheds light onto the entrance of your own Swedish eight person dry sauna. Cast the water ladle over the hot coals to create a soothing steam with eucalyptic oils.
Our favorite is enjoying the huge furnished outdoor patio with your choice of three grills, gas, weber or electric. Some of the best steaks and fish filets in the Southwest have been grilled there. Enjoy the firepit and catch the amazing starlight show every night in Taos. Just inside at the custom designed Taos stainless steel dinning table enjoy endless games of cards, Yahtzee, Monopoly, bar dice as you catch the amazing scenery. My family of 10 adults vacationed here for a week and we had a fabulous time! The house is absolutely gorgeous. The pictures on the website are nice but they certainly don't do it justice. The location was easy to get to, it is on the golf course so that made for some nice morning walks. Any direction you turn outside of this house is a beautiful mountain view. It is just minutes from Taos. The owners were wonderful to work with, and the property manager was available at all times by phone for any questions and could be at the house in 5 minutes if needed. My family really enjoyed the fire pit on the patio, and we spent most of our time all gathered in the kitchen, where there is a table for 6 and bar stools for 4. The kitchen was fully stocked with any cookware or utensils you would need for any cooking/ baking, plus lots of extras. The master bedroom/ master bathroom really is the most spectacular part of this home, and we certainly enjoyed the swedish sauna and jacuzzi tub. Highly recommend this vacation rental!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
