My husband and I always celebrate our February birthdays and Valentine's Day in Tahoe. We used to stay at one of the local hotels however this year we were travelling with our 9 months old baby boy and our beloved dog so we decided to rent a cabin. This one was pricier than other offers we were considering but boy... it was SO WORTH IT! The unit was very clean (most important thing for me), comfortable, nicely furnished with all hi-tech equipment and its location was literally on the water! We felt like home from the moment we stepped in. The only down side was the fact we fought a really bad cold while being there and didn't get to enjoy everything the cabin and the nearby are had to offer but... we will be back in a few months. Already look forward to it! Thank you Melody for being such a wonderful host!

We had an amazing stay at this lovely home. The lake views are incredible (even better than the pictures) and it was so peaceful. Everything was so comfortable. Thank you so much for having the tree decorated and for our delicious crime brûlée! We loved sitting and watching the ducks and geese. Everyone in town was friendly and we felt like we were at home. Melodie was helpful and answered our many questions. We hope to return again another time.

My husband and I along with another couple stayed at the condo July 25-30, 2011. It was awsome. The condo is newly renovated and feels brand new. The view is beyond spectacular. Words cannot describe the view. You are water front but also feel like you are in the mountains. I guarantee you havent seen anything like Lake Tahoe. We would love to return in the winter to try out all the winter activites. During our stay, we hiked to alpine lake, took a kayake out on the lake, went up to heavenly gondala and did some shopping. Our favorite part of our vacation was hanging out at the condo taking in the views. Their is a beach next to the condo which is great for kids as well as relaxing with a good book. Melodie was always available if we had any questions. She was lots of help as far as guiding us for activites. Definitly somewhere everyone needs to go. All the neighbors at the condo were very friendly too!!!!

My family and I had a fantastic time at this property! The townhouse backs right up to the lake, the views are just amazing. Inside the townhome is just as fantastic; modern/cozy decor, very clean, well laid out. The home also has everything you could possibly need during your stay; laundry soap, ironing board, kitchen tools and appliances, games, rafts (for the lake) dog crate (even treats and potty bags!!). The home owners are also great to work with and are very helpful with local tips on things to do and see. If you are looking for a cozy, clean, perfectly located Lake Tahoe home, this place is ideal.

This home was absolutely beautiful, with the pictures showing exactly how pretty it is. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It was a short drive into town where there was so much to see and do. The owners were extremely nice and helpful. We definitely hope to return to this property and highly recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting Lake Tahoe!

We stayed at Melodie's place for 5 days this past week and absolutely loved it. The place was beautiful, clean and nicely decorated. The view of the lake and the snow capped mountains was amazing. My husband, 9 month old son, & I just came back from a wonderful weekend at Melodie & Alan's condo! The unit itself is wonderfully appointed and had all of the comforts of home. The back deck is literally on the water and the views from the bed in the master bedroom are to die for...we almost didn't want to get out of bed! Since this was our first trip to Tahoe, working with Melodie on the booking was super easy and comforting. She was great to work with not only professional, but also very accommodating and helpful on things to do. Everything is a short drive away...Safeway is only a few minutes drive away! We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this unit to anyone who want to get away for even the shortest amount of time!

This property was everything the pictures and description said it would be! Our host, Melodie, was always available and very, very helpful with whatever we needed! The location is spectacular and within 5-10 minutes of everything you would need in South Lake Tahoe! I come from a large family and many of them travel. They've asked me to let them know my experience with Home Away and I can only say good things! The property was top notch (the towels are nicer than the ones I have at home), beautifully decorated, and the view of the Lake was breathtaking!! We changed our vacation days so we could take advantage of this property and I'm so glad we did!! Traveling with 3 teenagers and a 9 year-old all the way from Virginia would be a hard crowd to please, but they all enjoyed it as much as my husband and me! Thank you sooo much, Melodie!!

My parents and my husband and I spent three fabulous nights at Melodie's lovely home. Everything was in perfect condition, the house was very homey and comfortable - especially the beds! The house is right by the lake and the views are so beautiful, it was such a nice getaway. You are right by the beach and a close drive to all conveniences. Melodie herself was very personable and courteous. Thank you for opening up your beautiful home. We truly enjoyed ourselves and enjoyed the family time, so much nicer to be in a home and not in separate hotel rooms which makes it so much harder to spend quality family time together! This townhouse was the perfect place to have a small family christmas. The view of the snow covered mountains was just perfect to have behind the christmas tree. The house was very cozy and warm. The kitchen was complete with everything we needed to make christmas dinner and cookies. And access to the snow was very convenient for our snow fun time!! I hope to return here next christmas! This townhouse was the perfect place to have a small family christmas. The view of the snow covered mountains was just perfect to have behind the christmas tree. The house was very cozy and warm. The kitchen was complete with everything we needed to make christmas dinner and cookies. And access to the snow was very convenient for our snow fun time!! I hope to return here next christmas! We loved it!
