We were very pleased with the condo, it was just like what we we thinking it would be no suprises, very family friendly and pet friendly. The layout was great for giving everyone some space. Well equipted with everything you might need and more, the area is easy to find and get to eat, shopping, etc. We would for sure rent again, also Jean is a pleasure to work with.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed in this condo for 3 months, December through Feb 2013. When we arrived the condo was exactly as shown in the photos except there is a new sofa and chair. We have stayed in a lot of condos and this one had the best eqipped kitchen (plenty of dishes, glasses, storage, etc.) There was a problem with construction the first week and Jean addressed it quickly and treated us very fairly which we really appreciated. She always responded quickly to any questions we had and was wonderful to work with. Our 2 grandsons came down for a visit during Christmas break and we had a blast. The hall bunks are great for kids. We were pleasantly surprised to find that there were actually 2 half baths - one off the master bedrrom and one in the hallway with each having access to the shared tub/shower room. The kids enjoyed the aquarium, Fudpuckers, Hard Rock Cafe, and we all loved the Shrimp Basket in Destin. There is plenty of shopping. I loved The Old Time Pottery in Destin and Callahans Restaurant/deli is directly in front of it. Callahans has great food and a nice variety. Also check out Donut Hole in Destin and CF Changs in SanDestin. We made day trips to Pensacola to the Naval Air Station, if you can call ahead to see the days the Blue Angels practice. We also went to Panama City. Destin is absolutely beautiful. You'll love the drive on Scenic Highway 98- which is one of the gated entrances to Maravilla. We had a little trouble seeing the sign at night as it sits back from the road. The only suggestion I would have is room darkening drapes for the bedroom (I am a light sleeper) and a skillet with a lid. My family has been vacationing annually in the Destin, FL area for more than 15 years. We just love this beach area and all that it has to offer. This was our first time to stay at the Maravilla and our first time to bring our Yorkie. We found it to be very kid and pet friendly area. Our condo was up to date and nicely equipped with everything we needed for the week. The decor and furnishings were very nice as well. The condo owners were a pleasure to deal with. This was our first experience in Destin and by far the Maravilla location was ideal and very convenient for our family. Everything was wonderful in the condo! Jean provides everything you need for your stay and even called us two days into our trip to check in. My children had never been to the beach before and they just absolutely loved the location and the beach. I felt very comfortable allowing them to walk our dogs in the community and use the facilities. I appreciated the fact that we weren't charged an extra pet fee. I would definitely recommend this condo to any family with pets. We have five in our family and we were very comfortable in this condo during our stay. We even had three small dogs with us on the trip! Even being on the second floor wasn't bad because of the elevator and convenience of walking the dogs in the dog walk area. I will be renting from Jean again in the future. Hoping we can make the Destin area our new home soon too! Natalie :)Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

About the owner: Encouraged by friends who already owned property in Destin, we purchased our first condo in 1996. Eight years later, we had the opportunity to buy in Maravilla and have never regretted that decision. We are both retired and live in Alabama, just 3.5 hours from Destin. We enjoy sharing our condo with our children, grandchildren, friends, or just getting away by ourselves. When we are unable to be in Destin, we have found that vacationers, especially those who own pets, love our condo and our location. We hope that you will love it as we do.
Why the Owner Chose Maravilla:
Maravilla 4205 is perfect for us as a couple, but also has room for company. Our grandchildren love it as it is cozy, comfortable, tastefully decorated, a place where you can enjoy a vacation at the beach. Two of our grandchildren have dogs and they love being able to bring them along. Quiet time for the children is often spent on the balcony or watching movies in the bedroom, while the adults have their quiet time on the beach, balcony, or living area.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
I am a Floridian who moved to Alabama in the 60's. When I am in Destin, most of my time is spent on the beach, which makes the chairs and umbrella my favorite amenities. When the grandchildren are there, we spend our time going between both pools and the beach or the water park, which is not too far away.
