We agree with the other recent reviews. This is a very comfortable, attractive, spacious, clean house that is nicely furnished and set up for group socializing as well as individual privacy. The large central open area includes living room, two dining areas, kitchen, and nice deck. Our family of 8 adults, 2 children, 2 babies, & 1 dog had plenty of room. Everyone liked the house very much. Although the location is close to town, the street is a cul de sac, so there is no traffic going by the house. Tahoe National Forest behind the house provides good hiking trails. The owner is responsive and personable. This house is a delightful vacation accommodation.

This place was the perfect home-away-from-home for our first family trip to Tahoe! The owners have thought of absolutely everything! The pictures do not do it justice. This home is relaxing, fun and has a lot of open space. We enjoyed games and BBQs out on the deck, quiet walks through the friendly neighborhood in the evenings, dinner for 8 in the dining area, and movies by the great fireplace. Just about a mile away from the main town, shopping, restaurants, the beaches and activities were easily accessible. We would definitely stay here again as it offered everything we hoped for and more!

This was an absolutely perfect spot for a weekend getaway with good friends. The house was beautiful, clean, and spacious with plenty of room for ten of us. Lee and Tom were wonderful, helping us plan outings and answer all our questions about the rental upfront. They even left us a note and a bottle of wine upon our arrival. The photos and description of the property are accurate, allthough the space is actually much larger than it appears. The open floor plan and wrap around deck were amazing, and the location could not have been more central. We had a great play day at Kings Beach Park, rented road bikes, and even rented a boat for some water-sports fun on the lake. Most of all, we enjoyed cooking at the house, hanging out in the great room, and barbequing on the deck. What an amazing place to spend a weekend.

We spent a happy week here with two young kids, parents and grandparents. As others have noted, the location is great for accessing North and East shores of Tahoe. We went on two "adventures" per day and still had tons of stuff left to do. On the cabin: - There is plenty of room for the kids to run around, and having the basement / game room was a plus. The upstairs bathroom has a good toddler bath and the entire house is kid friendly. - It is nicely furnished; lots of space and light for reading. Interesting reading material too, in case you run out! Plus there are a number of guidebooks and hiking guides for Tahoe. - Wifi works well throughout the home - We cooked at home every night except one, and the kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The pantry has some basic herbs and staples which was nice. Safeways is a 4 minute drive down the road.

This is a great get away house in the mountains, and a dog heaven!! We had a wonderful time with the 4 of our and our "ready to run to the lake" black lab. The house is off the beaten track enough that you are away form the summer riff-raff but close enough to have fun any time!! We would recommend this property

We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay here with our family during our daughter's wedding in Tahoe. Family and friends from the midwest enjoyed the spacious great room and deck. The well appointed kitchen allowed us to cook and barbeque and we enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. Just out the door we could hike or quickly drive down to the beach. The owners were gracious in answering our questions and made the reservation process simple. Pictures on the website are accurate and home and grounds were well maintained and clean. Highly recommend.

We spent 4 nights at this great cabin. It's secluded and quiet, very comfortable and well-equipped, and conveniently located for all north shore activities. The photos tell the story very well. Everything is very clean and well maintained. The owners were quite helpful in answering our questions and processing the rental agreement. Having the forest behind it is a big plus for us. It was a wonderful experience, and we will definitely want to rent here again!

We booked this home for a week to celebrate our parents 50th anniversary and had a wonderful time. Our family members from many different states enjoyed the beautiful home with many ammenities. We especially loved the deck, and the rooms were comfortable. We enjoyed the surrounding trails and the location of the house. We would recommend the house and would not hesitate to return in the future.

We just spent the weekend at this rental house 3- 26-28. We had a great time and the accommodations were perfect. The house is very roomy and is in a great central location to everything we wanted to do. Great rooms set up for the kids and plenty of outside space behind the house to play and let the dog run. Everything in the kitchen was labeled so we knew exactly where to find everything and it was well stocked with utensils. The front deck was perfect for watching the snow fall. We are already talking about a summer trip to this house!

This home was perfect for a long, getaway weekend to see snow! While it is an open and comfortable space, it is also quite tastefully decorated, given the added sense of elegance. There was definitely much thought given to the layout, allowing for both adults and children to have their own space. We felt at once at home, yet slightly pampered!

Our family of 6 enjoyed staying in Lee and Tom's home. They have all the amenities that are needed -- you don't need to bring anything extra for staying in a house. The "basement" was perfect for the kids -- they loved the fooseball table and having their own space. The forest backyard was great for playing, building and sledding. The location is ideal. Northstar and fun gambling are less than 10 minutes away. A very relaxing and convenient place to stay. Like many vacations -- the only drawback was the lack of comfort of the beds.

Of the many rental homes we have used before the is one of the best equipped. Everything that was needed was available and was easy to find for myself and 3 kids. The house was cozy and comfortable and we felt completely at home the first night. Great layout with plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms for everyone. I would highly recommend this home for anyone wanting to enjoy the Tahoe basin.

We stayed at Lee & Tom’s North Shore Tahoe Getaway for 3 nights recently. The house was just perfect. The pictures on the internet don't do it justice! The owners have thought of everything. It's very comfortable, beautifully decorated, and exceptionally well supplied. When we return to Tahoe, we won't waste any time on the internet looking for a place to stay--this is it!

Jan 9/10. 2010. Came up with some friends. I totally agree with the comments of the guests earlier this month about the house, location, and owners. Lee and Tom were very helpful, and did not "oversell" the house, either on the phone or in the online description. They've really made an effort to make it easy to "live in" (e.g., all of the kitchen cabinets and drawers have labels so you can see what is where); there is plenty of bedding, pillows, and kitchen plates, glasses, etc. Layout of the house is great--bedrooms are 'away' from the main living room. Absolutely no complaints. Great rental, good value. We'll come back again--when the snow is better (soon, please!!).

Our family enjoyed a dream vacation in this beautiful and thoughtfully equipped home between Christmas and New Year 2010. The four bedrooms and large kitchen and family room were perfect for our party of 8. The location is ideal for experiencing everything that Lake Tahoe has to offer. It is conveniently close to Northstar and other attractions and yet it is in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood that provides plenty of privacy away from the crowds at the big resorts. We can't wait to come back again!! Thank you Tom and Lee for making us feel at home and creating such a warm and comfortable place to enjoy a memorable winter vacation!
