My two teenage sons and I enjoyed a 5 day stay during the first week of October during their fall break. The unit was very clean and ready when we arrived even before the official check in time. The first floor location was convenient and the proximity to pools, hot tubs, and the beach access was great. I like the decor and color scheme. I appreciated that there were plenty of towels, games and books for guests to enjoy. Connie was easy to work with and very prompt in here communications. We love the Fort Morgan area and would definitely consider staying in this unit again.

We stayed here Sept 2-Sept 6, 2011 during Tropical Storm Lee. We still had a blast. Being from Kansas the wind didn't bother us too bad. We didn't get much beach time, however the pool and hottub facilities were great. Even in the storm. Connie was very nice and easy to work with. She even called to check on us during our stay to see if we were ok. Her condo on the ground floor is very nice. We enjoyed our stay very much and will go back again. Hopefully with good weather. Thanks for all your help and concerns Connie.

We had a wonderful time. The location of the condo is ideal. My wife loved the way it was decorated. Very nice place. We have 3 children and the second bedroom with the queen plus a twin bed was perfect for us. Our kids enjoyed the beach and pool adjacent to the property. The security on the grounds made us feel safe. We saw them many times as they were driving around the grounds. Like others pointed out, the first floor access was very nice. We were able to park right next to the unit every day. Connie responded to all of our inquires in a matter of minutes. She made the process of renting super easy.

My husband and I stayed in this condo from July 2nd-6th. We had a wonderful time! I loved the condo being on the first floor. We could just walk out, around the corner, and down the boardwalk to the beach. It was Fourth of July weekend, so the place was full, but we did not have any trouble finding a close parking spot or a nice quiet place on the beach. The condo is right next to the pool, but does not face the pool, so we never had any trouble with outside noise. The condo is cute and provided everything we needed during our stay. It was nice to have a full kitchen and two bathrooms! There was also a binder with restaurant menus and a few board games, books, and DVDs. Connie was very pleasant to talk to, and wasn't bothered at all when I called to ask a question. I would definitely recommend this condo.

My family and I rented this condo the week of June 18th. We were so pleased with the condo! Our group included my husband and I, our 3 year old and 3 month old boys and my parents. We were all able to easily cohabitat in this 2 bedroom condo. The twin bed in the 2nd bedroom made a big difference in accomodating our 3 year old. One the best perks about this condo is the first floor location. We backed our van up to the patio and loaded stuff directly into the condo instead of walking all the way around to the actual entry door. When you are loading all that kid stuff, you can imagine the huge advantage that is. It was also nice not to have to deal with steps or elevators for all of our trips to the beach and the pool. The pools here are terrific! It seemed as though there were pools all around us. Our son was particularly impressed with the kiddie pool across the parking lot. Everything was so close including the beach boardwalk! We spent plenty of time enjoying the gulf! The condo had everything you could possibly need and the decorations are really cute! Connie is such a wonderful person to rent from! I contacted her several times before and during our trip with questions and she was always quick to respond and so nice! You will not regret renting from her!

We were so pleased with everything. The condo was comfy and the grounds of the resort held many options for the kids to do. We utilized the kitchen a lot with our meals, and found everything we needed. The ground floor patio entrance was a life saver for loading and unloading. The view was lovely. My girls sat on the couch looking very sad the day we left…they did not want to go. There is definitely something carefree about the beach. They have already asked if we are coming back next year. Wish you the best in everything, and we will give high recommendations for your condo …We grabbed a card before we left; This was a great start to our summer.

We recently returned from a week long vacation in this condo. I must say, this was the best vacation my family and I have ever been on. The condo was great and we felt with a young child, the ground floor unit was perfect. It was easily accessible from the parking lot (for bringing in luggage) and also to several pools and the beach. You are only steps away from the boardwalk or to a pool. The owner, Connie, was the best person I have ever dealt with for a vacation rental. She was more than willing to go above and beyond our expectations. We will definitely be repeat customers! (sidenote: for something different to do in Gulf Shores, I recommend a nature tour with Sailaway Charters...great experience!)

I rented this unit with kids from 10 to 18 years old. Everyone had a great time. Between the beach being right there and the condo being surrounded by pools, hot tubs and the beach there was never a shortage of things to do. The kids spent a ton of time on the basketball courts, tennis courts, and crab hunting on the ocean at dark. This was great for a family or quiet enough for a couple. The kitchen was well equipped and I am already recommending this resort to everyone I know. Weather was over 80 every day but 1. That one 65 degree day was actually great - we went to Ft. Morgan that day to explore.

This is the second year we have rented this Condo and it felt like home. Very easy to work with the owners with the arrangements. Condo is very clean with big bedrooms, nice size bathrooms. The dining table seats six, which was great since we had people over for dinner 4 nights of 7. Kitchen a little on the small size but the outdoor grills helped with the cooking. Last year I put on the wish list for Cable in the second bedroom, and this year it was there! The week (March 26-April 2, 2011) we were there the weather was great, only had rain one morning and most days in the upper 70's and low 80's. Beaches cannot be compared to any other beaches ( and only a few small tar bars that did not bother us) enjoyed watching the dolphins everyday around noon. Counting the days till we can come back to the Plantation next year.

My husband, our 18-year-old, and I stayed in this condo from 3/21 - 3/24/2011. We came here to relax and do nothing. Comments from my response to Connie's inquiry about our stay: The trip was just what the doctor ordered! The weather was great. A little too cold to swim, but fine for getting our feet wet and sitting at the beach or in the hot tub. Some bush I've never seen before smelled heavenly behind our building. (Two pools, a hot tub, and a boardwalk to the beach were in front of the condo across a small parking lot. The same were also behind the condo, in a beautifully landscaped courtyard.) Our daughter purposely did not use sun screen. Got sun poisoning. Spent night in emergency room We ended up eating close by -- at Ocean's Restaurant on Hwy 180 (nice sit-down restaurant, food was ok) and King Neptune in Gulf Shores (casual, popular local joint, food was ok) -- I guess we aren't avid seafood lovers. The condo was even a bit nicer than the pictures led me to imagine. It was a clean, uncluttered, airy, bright, cheerful place. I like the way you decorated it. Unloading was easy, as you said. We played some of the games under the TV and my daughter watched one or two of your DVDs on her laptop. (We couldn't get the TV to the correct channel for watching DVDs and your line was busy when we called). It was nice being so close to the beach and pool. The poor folks who had condos farther back in the building! It wasn't too crowded, which was great for us, and 4 out of the 5 people we met were from St. Louis also! We left a note for the cleaning lady about a few minor repairs. A ceiling fan pull chain broke and couldn't be fixed due to metal fatigue, and another ceiling fan light bulb was burnt out and my husband couldn't figure out how to replace it. My only complaint would be that your black kitchen utensils were too flimsy for the spaghetti and meat sauce with melted cheese that I cooked. I recommended an inexpensive set of sturdier kitchen utensils that I use. From owner's response: Thanks for the suggestion on the kitchen utensils. I don't do a lot of cooking when we go down, so I'm never sure what people need. I am going in less than 2 weeks and will buy something else. I'll see about leaving a note to watch a dvd. Sorry you had trouble. Every tv and remote is different. Thanks for letting me know. I'll get the bulb changed out in the light if the cleaners didn't do it. I'll check on the chain also
Owner response:Just to let you know, I got some more utensils. I wrote directions on how to watch a dvd and taped them to the tv cabinet. I changed out the light bulbs in the den and bedroom and made sure the fan chain will stay on. When renters let me know what would make the condo be better, I try to make it happen! Thanks for the review.

We stayed in this condo March of 2011 and we had the best time. We had plenty of room, surrounded by pools and the beach was right outside our door. I have never stayed ground level before (we love to watch the waves in the morning from the balcony) but I was surprised at the view that we had. In all, we had a blast and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, family condo. We will be staying again. Thanks Connie...PS, this was a last minute reservation and it was the easiest reservation I have made...Connie was great and didn't have to rent us anything in such short notice. Thanks again for everything!!!!

“Just another day in paradise!” We shared that phrase many times while staying at the Plantation in Connie’s condo. This is a very nicely decorated and clean condo. The bedrooms are quite large for families, (very comfortable beds) and the living, kitchen dining area are very nice also. We especially enjoyed the location of the condo being close to two outdoor pools and hot tubs. The morning sun was beautiful and warmed the deck nicely for sunning. In the afternoon we’d head to the courtyard behind the condo building to enjoy the afternoon sun. Walks to the beach were wonderful as it was so close to two boardwalks. Being on the first floor with no steps and ease in unloading groceries and our luggage right from the car over the deck was a big plus. We liked being away from all the hustle and bustle of traffic while on walks around the Plantation, driving to Gulf Shores was no problem. There’s lots of nice places to eat-out close to the Plantation so we didn’t have to drive far is we didn’t want to. Behind the Pines is less than 3 miles east and the Beach Club closer yet and also Kiva Dunes has a restaurant too. Taking a pizza back to our condo from the Connections Café less than a block from our condo was really nice. The Dollar Store is just 8 miles down the road which sells just about everything from clothes to groceries and home goods. I can’t say enough about this wonderful place. Try it! You’ll like it!! Minnesota in the summer- - Alabama in the winter. Keep a light on Connie, We’ll be back for sure! Patty and Harry

We went when there were tar balls (small ones all over the place) and we still had a great time. Close to town but not in a busy place. Beautiful part of the beach right out your window. Good pools and easy to get in and out of this condo. I hope we get to go again.

We rented on Memorial Day weekend and it could not have gone better. We split the condo with another family and had a blast! The weather was great, and this condo was located in a great area to utilize the pool on the end of the complex (less crowded) and not far at all from the beach. The a/c did not work upon arrival, but after contacting the owner, they had someone there and had the unit fixed within 90 minutes of receiving the phone call. They even contacted us and kept us informed as to what was going on. It is my understanding that they have since replaced with a new unit...but the unit worked just great for us after the phone call. Ms. Connie was very very helpful eager to make sure we were taken care of and happy. That means a lot in our book! The unit was as advertised if not a little better. The ladies described the decor as "very cute" and were very happy with the set up. Located directly across from the main pool area, w/ the hot tub, tennis court, putting green and coffee shop, and the coin laundry @ the end of the hall made the location of the unit ideal for us. Very clean and comfortable, and will stay in this unit again, God willing. I was also very impressed with the thoroughness of communication with the owners, before and after the stay, and during the time when we reported the a/c was not working. Great place!!

We rented the condo from 03/20 - 03/27 and who is aware of how the weather was at that time will know that it was - let's just say pretty cold. Condo was very nice, my husband even fell in love with the smiling fish in the living area (and he is the non-deco guy). The location was absolutly perfect. Steps to the boardwalk and several outdoor pools and hot tubs. Beautiful sunrise, very clean beach, grills available and since the weather was not so perfect we took advantage every evening of the outside spa tub, just steps away. A lot of additional anemeties as well like the indoor pool, sauna, fitness room, tennis......something for everybody. This is a gated community and security was making rounds which makes you feel pretty good nowadays. Restaurants: The evening we arrived we went to Tacky Jack's which is right on the road towards Ft. Morgan and we hated it - overpriced for salad out of a bag. Recommendation: take a tour of the USS Alabama in Mobile (45 miles from the condo): even I was fascinated; and enjoy afterwards a superb dinner at Felix which is ab out 1-2 miles from there. Looks like everything is fallen apart on the outside which is part of the unique design. SUPER, SUPER food and outstanding pampering service, waterfront view. Different fish dishes for around 17.95 which come with a salad and 1 add. side dish. We choose 2 different catch of the day with extra toppings ..- one was crawfish & shrimp creole and one crab hollandaise, so it was extra but soooooooooooo worth it. As appetizer we had crab tortellias - Yumm. We like to go out to eat nice a couple of times and this was perfect. Must see for shopping: Tanger Outlet Mall, Old Time Pottery and if you are into sewing: north of Foley on left side I believe it was called "Fabric by the pound". For Food: fresh fish from stores in Foley, and of course the store to go for food: Piggly Wiggly; check out the prices and the selections!! Sight Seeing: Ft Morgan, USS Alabama, Naval aircraft museum in Pensacola (rd. 30 miles) and of course don't miss the sunsets on the beach, steps away.
