What a wonderful little house, quiet and private and so close to so much to do. We had a wonderful stay here and really enjoyed the private patio and dipping pool, loved the nieghborhood and we were amazed at all thier was to do and see a stones throw away. We are definately going back next year for a longer stay.

We are a family of six, with children ranging in ages from 18 mo to 9 yrs, and Chan Chemuyil was absolutely perfect for us. We have grown to strongly prefer house/apartment rentals for vacations vs. hotels or resorts because we can make it a 'home away from home'. Perhaps the most remarkable part of our overall experience was Kevin, who sort of serves as the equivalent of a concierge for those who choose to rent a vacation home from Chan Chemuyil. Due to weather-related airline delays, we arrived about 9 hours later than we had intended. Kevin was right there at midnight to open the house for us and schedule a quick yet comprehensive orientation the next day. It was well worth the approximately 1.5 hours, as the result was that we felt like we had a great feel for the lay of the land, the hidden gems, the things to avoid and the things not to miss in Chemuyil, Tulum and Akumal. The house - wonderfully simple. We enjoyed coffee in the morning while watching our kids swim in the pool behind the house. We felt safe and comfortable. As we enjoy cooking and dining in, the kitchen's appointment was a bit spartan, but functional. Air conditioning and fans kept the temperature perfect at the touch of a button. Highlights for our family - Xcacel Beach (perhaps the most beautiful beach I've ever visited), the cenote near Xcacel Beach, snorkeling in Akumal (saw fish, coral, sea turtles and a sting ray), the zip-lining, sky-cycling adventures at Hidden Worlds, the ruins at Tulum, Lucy's home-made ice cream in Akumal and Pizza Leo in Chemuyil.
