Situated between calle San Bernardo and the famous Plaza de España in the centre of Madrid, this is an excellent choice for those looking for a true inner-city experience. The wide avenues and beautiful deco architecture of the Gran Via are just around the corner, as well as all the international shops, cinemas and theatres you would expect from a vibrant capital city. The surrounding area is known for its liberal, diverse and bohemian atmosphere, with the nearby neighbourhood of Malasaña boasting funky bars, artistic boutiques and quirky cafés on every corner.
Due to its central location, this property has excellent transport links, including the metro, several bus stops, and a taxi rank all nearby. Alternatively, many of Madrid´s more famous attractions such as the Puerta del Sol or Templo de Debod are within walking distance, meaning you can explore this exciting and diverse city with ease. The apartment itself is located on the third floor, with very large exterior windows that give a stunning view out to the Plaza and then even further on, to the Edificio de España in the north of the city. Beautiful apartment in fabulous location
My husband and I stayed at this apartment in January 2011 and loved it. The apartment is beautifully decorated with great amenities. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk to Gran Via and a great food market on your doorstep. It is also easy walking distance to two subway stations, Plaza Mayor and many great tapas bars and restaurants. Although we were right in the heart of the city the apartment itself was very quiet and secure. The property managers were there to meet us on our arrival and spent considerable time showing us through the apartment. They were also very supportive when I required assistance with a personal issue toward the end of our stay. I cannot speak highly enough of the apartment and its location and recommend it to anyone planning a holiday in Madrid.

Relax in the Heart of Madrid
This is a wonderful apartment, one block off the busy Gran Via and conventiently located across the street from a local, 3 storey Mercado fully equipped with every fresh food imagineable in Spain. The unit itself was immaculate and very well equipped, the bed wonderfully confortable and the building secure. After a busy day sightseeing, all local attractions are within easy walking distance, we sat in the living room with a glass of wine and tapas obtained from the Mercado and people-watched through the floor to ceiling windows. The unit was very quiet and a peaceful haven in a busy city, a great place to rejuvinate after flying for 18 hours. Our only complaint was with the management company, who left us waiting outside the unit for almost 90 minutes on check in (we telephoned three times and were advised '5 minutes' each time). We waited another 90 minutes on check out to obtain our security deposit and turn in the keys so we did not leave the unit insecure, however they never showed up and we consequently missed our pre-paid train to Seville. The company has offered to re-imburse us for our lost ticket money, but would not forward owner information as we requested. This management company put a bad taste in our mouths over an otherwise wonderful stay in Madrid!
