We had an amazing ski weekend in this cabin. One always wonders if the reality will be true to the photos. In this case, our expectations were exceeded. We really appreciated the personal touch of the place and felt we were visiting our own home away from home. We were also very happy with the logistics and dealings with the owners. They were responsive, professional and helpful. What more can you ask for. We'll definitely be back. By the looks of the guest book entires, we won't be alone.

We stayed here with 6 people and were very comfortable. The cabin is wonderfully located and so much attention to detail has been given to decoration, atmosphere and general comfort. We were very impressed and highly recommend this place. We got 12 inches of snow overnight and it was just beautiful. We just wished we could stay longer!

Had a short stay in the mountains to escape the heat and enjoyed our lovely time. The owners were very nice to work with and very attentive. The cabin is darling, yet surprisingly spacious. The kitchen was fully stocked and we loved grilling on the gorgeous patio under the tall pines and towering granite. Early morning hikes along the stream were beautiful. Hope to come back again as I'm sure it's quite magical in the winter.

I took my annual "boys trip" last month to the cabin. Less than 10 minutes from Alta and Snowbird just off Little Cottonwood Canyon Road. Beautiful fully-restored cabin located in quiet, rustic area of other cabins. Modern kitchen, bathroom, entertainment system and appliances. Highly recommended...in fact, I will head back when I ski Alta and Snowbird again.

This cabin is excellent - it's pretty, clean, well-located and very well kept. The owners are extremely responsive and considerate. The cabin slept four teens/adults comfortably and could have easily fit 2 or 3 more. Kitchen and entire cabin were well-stocked, beds were very comfortable, all amenities were available (gas grill, pellet stove, excellent DVD and stereo technology, plenty of linens and many family friendly video selections, too). I definitely recommend it - we're hoping to get back for more skiing next year.

Only minutes away from Alta and Snowbird, we spent a week in this charming cabin over the Christmas and New Year's holidays. We could not have been more pleased about our visit. The cabin is wonderfully decorated and was stocked with extra goodies to make us feel welcome. We loved the wood pellet stove where many a tall tale of our skiing adventures were told! While the cabin is rustic in appearance, it tastefully provides all the modern conveniences desired (e.g., TV/DVD player, jetted tub, washer/dryer). The ground level has two bedrooms which can sleep four. The top floor (which is reachable only by climbing a ladder...which we thought was cool) is very comfortable for adults but would be truly fantastic for young kids (the top floor has a tv and couch area along with two more bedrooms and one bathroom + a couple of play areas for the kids). We loved the scenery where the cabin is located as well; note that if staying in the winter, it's preferable to have an all-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicle to ensure you can maneuver in winter conditions. The owners were fantastic and very helpful with whatever questions we had. I highly recommend this cabin and we will be back!

Very clean cabin that has been completely renovated, including modern kitchen and laundry. Cozy loft with bunks and play space for kids under the eaves, bedrooms for two couples on main floor. Minutes from Snowbird and Alta. Owners helpful in every way. Great for 1 or 2 couples or families.

This house provided a very comfortable stay for 2 couples. It's VERY cozy, clean, and the jacuzzi bathtub is excellent after a day of skiing/snowboarding/or snowshoeing. I recommend using a 4 wheel drive car for reaching the driveway if there is ice or snow.

Beautiful, spacious cabin in a great location
Beautiful, spacious cabin in a great location
I spent a long weekend here in February with friends and loved it. Location: Just off Rt. 210, a short (~30 min) drive from the airport. Its a 10 minute drive to Alta and Snowbird but importantly it is IN THE CANYON so during heavy snowfall you wont be blocked out of the canyon and can arrive at the mountains hours before the crowd. Its also close enough to the base that you're only a short drive from SLC nightlife or other area ski resorts should you wish to branch out. A really great alternative to staying at the Alta/Snowbird lodges (and much better value). Property: clean, spacious but cozy. Very quiet area. Thoughtfully decorated. Good for groups and families (especially those with young children) but not too big for a smaller party. On-site shovels and a snowblower in case you get a good storm. Well-stocked kitchen. Close to a great hiking trail if you need a break from skiing. Every amenity you could ask for. The owner was available to answer questions throughout our entire trip. Really an effortless, pleasant stay. I highly recommend this property.

Great vacation spot!
Great vacation spot!
We just spent a wonderful four days at this lovely cabin. The cabin is located just outside of Sandy in a forested area edging the Wasatch National Park. Although close to other cabins, it is quiet and the view of the scenery from the four large windows is spectacular. It is clear that the owners love this cabin as everything is well taken care of and very comfortable. The many amenities of this cabin have been assembled in a very thoughful manner. From the cabin, you have easy driving access to several ski areas, but just outside the cabin is a great showshoe trail that climbs up to a waterful. Although we didn't visit the cabin with children, it seems like it is very child friendly with books, games and videos, as well as special play areas. Very highly recommended!

About the owner: My husband (licensed general contractor) and I are property renovators with a love for historic restoration. We are nature lovers and (water and snow) ski fanatics as well. This cabin is very special to us as it was built by my great-grandfather and others, and has been in the family for over 100 years. We take great pride in the construction projects that we do and make an excellent husband-wife team. We have five children as well and spend most of our free time at the cabin working on our latest improvement project or grilling and playing in the outdoors.
Why the Owner Chose Snowbird:
We felt it was important to keep this very special cabin in this very unique and wonderful environment in our family so when our Uncle was going to sell it off we bought it. We enjoy it here so much, are grateful our children have the opportunity to enrich their lives with the memories they make here and are glad that at this time we can share this incredible place with you to create wonderful memories of your own!
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
This cabin is a quick escape from the suburbs to the mountains majesty, beauty, fresh air and completely different weather patterns. How fun and amazing to stay in a forest, be so close to the slopes and yet be minutes from the bustling city. It is the perfect temperature here in the summer, a serenely peaceful wonderland in the winter and the beauty is breathtaking year round!
