Our Snowbird Cabin is nestled beneath the massive granite walls in Little Cottonwood Canyon and is just five miles below the world famous Snowbird and Alta ski resorts. Located in Wasatch Resort which was founded by the Utah pioneers quarrying granite boulders to build the Salt Lake Temple, it is seated on two lots which border the Wasatch National Forest.
Besides world class skiing, there is hiking, snow shoeing, rock climbing and wild life watching galore. The views are breathtaking in the summer and winter alike.
This totally remodeled historic cabin has four bedrooms (sleeps up to eight people) and one and one half baths, new kitchen with granite counter-tops, state of the art appliances and the best tasting rocky mountain spring water on earth! Main floor features two bedrooms, jacuzzi jetted tub in bath, LCD flat screen TV with theatre system and wood pellet stove for ambiance in living room. Climb the ladder to the loft and find additional TV room, two more bedrooms and even a small playroom with art center, dress up and reading corner for the kids!
Outside amongst the huge on property boulders you can barbecue under covered gazebo on quartzite rock patio. Tastefully fully furnished inside and out with all the comforts of home, it is available for weekly, monthly or seasonal rental.

Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2008
My husband (licensed general contractor) and I are property renovators with a love for historic restoration. We are nature lovers and (water and snow) ski fanatics as well. This cabin is very special to us as it was built by my great-grandfather and others, and has been in the family for over 100 years. We take great pride in the construction projects that we do and make an excellent husband-wife team. We have five children as well and spend most of our free time at the cabin working on our latest improvement project or grilling and playing in the outdoors.
Why the Owner Chose Snowbird
It was either buy the family cabin or let it go to the highest bidder where it would be lost from the family forever, and I wanted my children to have it for an inheritance to continue to be passed down through the generations.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
The pure rocky mountain spring water is the best water I have ever tasted. It is the perfect temperature in the summer and the mountain air is so fresh. It is an instant escape from the city and it is wonderful to take a half hour break from skiing for hot chocolate and then head back up for another few hours of fun on the slopes. The beauty is breathtaking and you forget your problems in the winter wonderland.
