Why the Owner Chose Lake Cushman
My husband and I had our cabin built in 2001 for our two sons and ourselves. The area is absolutely gorgeous. The lake is crystal clear with mountains surrounding it. We have National Park/Forest right behind us. All of our family and friends that came to visit fell in love with the area and would actually look at cabins for sale. We took a risk and bought Mt. Rose Cabin as an investment. It has been a win/win situation for us and our renters. It also keeps me busy as my boys have grown up. Lots of great people have rented Mt. Rose Cabin. You should too!
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Everyone loves s'mores around the firepit.

Our group of four stayed here for 3 nights in August '11. The price is right. The good: the cabin is in a beautiful area; it's a short drive to the entrance of Olympic National Park, it's a short walk to Lake Cushman. The cabin has a nice dining table; mattresses are fine. The bad: the kitchen faucet is broken, the toilet runs about once every minute and the constant off/on noise of the only toilet makes it hard to get a good night's sleep if you're on the main floor. The blankets on the bed could use washing and the towels didn't smell at all clean. Guests have to complete a long list of chores, including cleaning the toilet, mopping floors, changing beds, etc. before leaving in order to get the sizable deposit back. Huh?

Owner response:As the owner, I can't fix what I don't know about. Since this renter stayed at Mt. Rose Cabin, both the toilet and faucet have either been repaired or replaced. I can assure the linens are always clean. Yes, for our renters to save money they have the option to leave the cabin clean or pay to have it cleaned. This information is in the paperwork. The deposit isn't only to cover cleaning if needed but for any damage that may occur.

Last weekend we stayed at this cabin. We had a fantastic time. The cabin had everything we needed - beds for 7 people, full kitchen, firepit, parking, WiFi, great location (only 2h from Seattle) - all at affordable price. We loved the area. It is only couple minutes to walk to the lake. During the day, we did hikes in Olympic NP and in the evenings we had BBQ and walked around Lake Cushman. We even made s'mores in the firepit. We will definitely come back.
Owner response:Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed our cabin.

We had a great time, the cabin was nice and comfortable. Lots of extra blankets. Close to the beach and park. We saw deer while driving in the area and even saw one walking down the street outside the cabin. Plenty of dishes, movies, books, games and great instructions for the cabin provided. Only negative is not enough towels for the amount of people we had. (8) 5 were kids so we had to hang them up and re-use them all week-end. would suggest you bring your own. I would have if I knew there were not enough provided. Would definetly go again and would recommend it to friends and family. . Great vacation at an amazing price. Description on line was very accurate, cabin was clean and well maintained, Owner was very nice and helpful, We didn't venture far, stayed close to the cabin so no recomendations of area attractions or restaurants.

This is my family's favorite place to get away. It is an easy drive from Seattle and kid friendly. We love Mt Rose cabin because it is clean and cozy and has everything we need. The setting is gorgeous and we just LOVE that we can walk to the beach/rec area. Our family really loves the beach area. The little ones love the play area and the shallow water. We can take a picnic lunch or run back to the cabin for the baby's nap. The grill area at the beach gives us the option of a BBQ dinner while watching the sun set over the water. One of the kids highlights is roasting marshmallows for smores. Day hikes to Mt. Elinor and drives down to Hoodsport are also on the list of great things to do. The owners have always been very responsive if there are any issues, respond quickly to emails or phone calls. Lori has helped us and our friends find other rentals in the same community so we can vacation together. We are always happy to tell our friends about Lake Cushman and Mt Rose.

This cabin is in a fun location with lots of stuff to do outdoors all around it. The inside of the cabin is cozy and comfortable. It isn't the Ritz, but who wants that when your in the woods?!

I have been to Mt. Rose with my friends, family and just with my husband. All of my stays have been so above average I dont know where to begin. From the rustic, charming cabin feel to the full cabinets of supplies and great movie choices it so much better then a five star hotel. Words alone cant describe what wonderful memories we have all made at Mt Rose but what I can say is the owners are two great people and really take pride in treating there guests comfortably and well. I always look forward to visiting Mt Rose and Im sure your stay will be just as nice as ours was. Totally a perfect place to just relax and enjoy.. I know we do... Thank You Tom & Lori and see you soon..
