This Cabin is a luxurious log cabin with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, and a loft, with a large deck that spans the length of the cabin overlooking the natural beauty of the forest. It's fully furnished and sleeps 6 (master with queen bed, Queen in second bedroom, two twin beds in loft.) This Cabin is about 15 minutes west of Rutherfordton, NC in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains.
The cabin is located in the River Ridge community of Cleghorn South. The community offers a playground which is located a short distance from the cabin. The Broad River also flows through the community with access to fly and cast fishing. The Cleghorn Plantation is only a mile away and provides year round golf, swimming and tennis (Memorial Day to Labor Day – family passes available for a reasonable fee). Hospitals, supermarkets, and several specialty shops are within a short drive.

We chose this location to build because it is secluded yet close to everything easy access to the highway and area attractions quiet, and close to the broad river.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
The unique benefits to staying here are endless. Enjoy humming birds, wild turkey and white tail deer. The cabin setting is serene and quiet. Forget the world around you and curl up to read on the back porch over looking the fire pit. If you are up for adventure, jump on the highway for a short trip to great restaurants and shops. The towns of Landrum, Saluda and Tryon are about a half hour drive away. Picturesque Asheville with it's Biltmore estate is a 45 minute drive on major highways.

We lived in Florida but loved the mountains as a get away place. We purchased our vacation home here in Rutherfordton in 2004. We spent our holidays here and any other time we could steal away. In 2007 we decided to stay and have never looked back. We decided to build a second cabin for our friends, family and rental. The second time we rented it the people wanted to buy it as is, everything including the linens. It is now there permanent home so we built this third cabin for our enjoyment and yours.
