One step inside Snowbear and you wil discover all the amenities you need for a fabulous vacation.Snowbear Lodge is a bright, sunny 2400 SF townhome with 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths.Located in in the popular Lake Village complex. Lake Village has a HUGE hot tub, Two Saunas, showers and clubhouse/game room in the winter months. After the snow melts a large pool, picnic area, tennis courts, barbecue grills and children's play area are available to our guests.SNOWBEAR also has it's own private Hot Springs Hot tub.
Snowbear is steps from the forest and a trail which provides excellent Cross Country skiing in the winter as well as casual hiking/biking during the other Tahoe seasons. Our townhome overlooks the local mountains and looks up at the Mountains of Heavenly Valley.Shopping, a 24 hour gym, sports equiptment rentals, casinos, the lake and beaches, and a visitors information center can be foud in a mile or less from our door.
The townhome is nicly furnished, with comfy KING beds & Color TV's with remotes in three upstairs bedrooms. The MASTER bedroom features a gas log fireplace and a 17" color TV with remote. The Master Bath has dual sinks, pergo flooring and a full tub shower. The downstairs bedroom has a QUEEN bed as well as a TWIN bed. The downstairs bedroom has it's own private bath as well as a color TV with remote in the room. The HOT TUB room is adjacent to the bedroom.
The spacious upstairs living room dining and kitchen area is furnished with a roomy dining table which comfortably seats eight. The adjacent granite bar area has four bar stools for guest use. The kitchen and dining area have pergo flooring and the front entry is clad in slate. The gourmet kitchen features new hickory cabinets, granite counter tops and top of the line appliances. There is a side by side refrigerator with door icemaker/dispenser, a microwave and coffeemaker and dishwasher. The kitchen is equipped with everything from a mixer to a crock pot.
The living room has a gas fireplace, 27" television, VCR/DVD and Stereo/DVD player. There are two quality queen hide a beds in the living room and a half bath off the kitchen for upstairs use. The bookcase hold books and games for adults and children. A sunny deck adjoins the living room and a shady deck with gas barbecue and chairs adjoins the dining room.
Snowbear has a two car garage with direct access from the condo interior.(Great for those snowy days when you don't want to unload your skis/snowboard or scrape ice from your windshield!) There is a washer/dryer available in the garage for guest use. A separate room in the garage gives guests access to a deluxe Hot Springs private Hot Tub.

I visited Tahoe for the first time in my early 20's and fell in love with the incredible beauty of the lake ,meadows, and mountains,
I actually ended up purchasing 3 homes in this location including Snowbear. This area of Lake Village is in a perfect location! It is quiet and wooded, yet is only a mile or less to the beaches and Heavenly Gondola and casinos.There is a nice shopping center just 1/4 mile up the highway for grocery needs.
We have a clubhouse available for guests which includes a swimming pool, tennis courts, saunas, pool and ping pong tables. (Swimming pool and tennis courts closed in the winter)
The property is well maintained and heavily wooded and It is surrounded on three sides by forest. The roads are well maintained by our own staff and snowplowed to keep them open in the winter! When you arrive home you have comfy beds as well as a toasty and inviting private hot tub at your disposal!

A nice quiet beach for fishing, watching sunsets, or just stolling along the shore.
Traditional old beach resort and campground. The Dixe Queen Paddle wheeler takes off from there and there is usually a volley ball game going on the beach in the summer!

I have been managing my 3 rental properties since 2000. I thoughly enjoy talking with my guests via computer or phone. I realize most of our guests plan well in advance for their visit to Tahoe. My staff and I are focused on providing an economical at home atmosphere to enhance your vacation experience. We are conscientious about the service and amenities we provide. property was exactly as represented on vrbo and worked great for our family of 7 adults, two babies and a toddler. we used the pool, hot tub and sauna at Lake Village which was very convenient. we all took turns cooking in the large kitchen which was comfortable having lots of people cooking at the same time. nice porches for drinking your morning coffee or having nightfall roll in. property was well maintained and clean. our highlight of the trip was taking the whole family on the Lake Tahoe trolley and hiking to Emerald Bay. we also enjoyed the paddlewheel boat from Zephyr Cove. Would highly recommend this condo and Nancy was a dream to work with.

Our two families stayed here for one week and we really loved the Snowbear Condo in Lake Village. The home was well furnished and quite large. The kitchen had everything needed, even a waffle iron. When we could not find a remote we emailed Nancy and she not only emailed us back, but called to let us know that a previous guest accidently took it home. She offered to bring us another. We said it was no big deal and it was brought to us as soon as it was returned. Nancy also was very helpful in letting us know about different activities, trails and things to do in Tahoe. The pool, tennis courts, ping pong table and pool table are located in the clubhouse. We loved having access to these facilities. We will stay here again next summer.

Snowbear has all the comforts of home and more. The kitchen is beautiful and great for cooking and entertaining. It is better than what you see in the pictures. We had up to 10 people at one time and everyone was comfortable. The house was very clean and had plenty of cups, dishes, pots and pans. It even had some extras that I don't have in my own home. Having a BBQ in the summer was great and the complex is fantastic.There are games for the small children, wifi, for the adults and we loved the keyless entry system. It was great for all the adults that came and went at different hours. Nancy, the owner, is so easy to work with and if something comes up we just emailed her and she took care of the minor issues we had. We are definitely coming back again. I reccomend this condo for anyone with a large family like us or a big group of friends. We have been coming to Lake Village for 25 years and this is the best property we have ever rented.

We just finished a wonderful week at snowbear which included the 4th of July...what a wonderful experience. The house is large and well stocked and in a great location. We would recommend this home to any family who are looking for a great place to stay and enjoy the beauty of Lake Tahoe. We especially enjoyed the walking, bike riding trail right outside the home. The fireworks of course were spectacular, only problem we found was how quickly time passed....

Everything you need is within driving distance, my boys enjoyed playing golf at all the area golf coarses. The rest of us enjoyed all the sight seeing. The house was nicely furnished, and we would definitely stay again.

We stayed at Snow Bird Lodge with my family for a ski vacation while visiting my son who works for Harrah’s in South Lake Tahoe. The accommodations were very comfortable and we found it very accommodating for our entire family. It is in close proximity to South Lake Tahoe making it very accessible to the Casino’s and Heavenly Ski resort. Nancy was very nice to work with and I would highly recommend this facility. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for everyone.

We chose to stay at Snowbear over New Years weekend, and most definitely made the right decision! It was very clean and well maintained, with everything we needed or needed to know was easily accessible. The house is beautiful and warmly decorated, and really had everything we could think to need - pots, pans, coffee maker, kitchen utensils, lots of room to cook and sit. The house is laid out very well, with the common areas and two nice decks on the upper level, and the bedrooms downstairs. There was lots of sleeping room and plenty of bathrooms. It was great to have separate private and common spaces - people could go to sleep in quiet when they wanted, even if others wanted to be in the living room or kitchen. Nancy was wonderful about getting us all of the information we needed. We will definitely look to Snowbear or another of Nancy's properties for future vacations!

My family and I have been going to Lake Tahoe annually for 30+ years now. Snowbird was truly one of the nicest places we have stayed at and the price was very reasonable on top of that. The home is equipped with satellite TV and wireless networking. It is very well sized where a large family can enjoy each other's company, but not step over one another. The only thing I would recommend is an update to the available utensils. The kitchen is magnificent, but contained only a small toaster that did not work terribly well and we were only able to locate 1 skillet pan. These things aside, I would highly recommend Snowbird for a fun filled family vacation.
Owner response:Dear anonymous, I wish you would have called! We would have been glad to have the staff locate the other 2 skillets. Sometimes our guests put them in the drawer under the stove, which is where we found them! We also checked out the toaster, you are right,one of the elements was not functioning properly! Fabulous location -- everything was close at hand, especially after we discovered the Safeway just a mile up the road. Loved the walking trail just up the way, too. Our family of seven were able to sleep and eat most comfortably -- and got lots of exercise, too!

Just spent 6 days at Snowbear Lodge and had a great time. There were 8 of us, 4 adults 1 teenager and 3 small ones. The very large living room was a perfect place for nightly games, the kitchen perfect for 3-4 people cooking and having family dinners. The proximity to the Lake was perfect. Spent the first day at Zypher cove, second day at Heavenly and the zip line, great restaurants and shopping, the third day at Camp Richardson and bike riding and dinner at the Beacon Grill, fourth day beach again....played ping pong in the club house and used their pool and hot tub. We all loved the hot tub at the end of the day...using the nearby paths for hiking was picture perfect. Loved every minute of it and hope to make it an annual vacation spot. Thanks Nancy for your hospitality. We had a great family vacation.
