My name is Patricia and my husband’s name is Brad. To give you a little background about us. I am originally from France and Brad is from Missouri. I met him in Springfield in 1972, we got married in 1975 and have worked together ever since. We first came on vacation to the Dominican Republic in early 1985 to go Scuba Diving and fell in love with the country and the people. Did our research, took a chance and moved three years later to open a Scuba Diving School in Sosua, Dominican Republic. We never looked back.
We have worked in the hospitality business in the Dominican Republic since 1988.
We completed this villa in December 2009. We build this one to share with you because we believe everyone should be spoiled, enjoy life and forget about the everyday hum drums for a while and to give you a taste of life in Paradise. ...Wow! Spacious rooms, open air, outdoor living, comfortable furniture, warm sunshine, azure ocean, tropical vista and us to take care of you.
Brad and I live within 5 minutes of Ocean Palms Villa. We are nearby and are available any time. We do come around the Villa to make sure all is running well
and to keep the refrigerator full if you choose to have our Chef prepare your meals. This is your home while you are here and we stay out of your way.
You will be treated the way we would want to be treated. We will take care of your anticipated wants and needs. You only live once, make it count. A dream come through, give us your list of favorite foods and our chef will prepare them for you.
We have learned what many of the common questions and concerns people have about living here and renting villas in the Dominican Republic. We will put you at ease, we have 22 years experience and knowledge

An amazing stay at Ocean Palms Villa

I have traveled to the Dominican Republic at least a dozen times and the accommodations at Ocean Palms Villa far exceed any I’ve stay at, which made it an amazing trip. En suite bedrooms with top of the line double showers in the master suites are an added luxury. The two living spaces along with the two bars are fantastic gathering places for large groups or just an intimate evening with someone special. The ocean view, watching whales from one of the terraces, swimming in the beautiful pool with palm trees swaying and beautiful décor throughout are just a few of the things that make this an ideal getaway destination. Brad and Patricia, the owners live just a few minutes away and are very helpful with making any arrangements outside the villa for entertainment. I will return!

Ocean Palms Villa is a wonderful dream turned real. Its proprietors wanted to create a fine place with maximum service at an affordable price. At that next to impossible task, they’ve succeeded magnificently. The setting is splendid, the villa’s layout engaging, its construction materials excellent. There are ceiling fans everywhere. The air conditioners are the latest. The beds are sturdy and comfortable (three king-size, two queens). The bathrooms connected to the two larger bedrooms are very large, and they’re plenty big even in the medium-size bedrooms. Intended for ten couples (children welcome), the five bedrooms are on two levels. Those levels plus one more above offer a variety of spaces for relaxation, games, and TV or video viewing. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. A bar on the main floor is placed right next to a large gathering area. The outdoor pool and its deck are beautiful, overlooking the North Atlantic a short distance away. The staff are effective and thoughtful, also dedicated and imaginative. They make a big difference! They kept the villa spotless and were always helpful. The food they prepared at our request was delicious, varied, nutritious, and generous in quantity, the sort you’d be glad to find in any restaurant. Deliberately built in a less busy part of the Dominican Republic, Ocean Palms is ideal for a quiet getaway but still not far from tourist attractions. Four nearby beaches are clean and fun. More organized activities (golf, horseback riding, scuba diving, whale watching, sightseeing tours, etc.) aren’t far away. The villa’s proprietors know the country well and are prepared to assist guests in every way to find and arrange suitable activities. I’ll sum this location up simply: I’ve never stayed anywhere better.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+.

After staying at Ocean Palms, I think I've permanently sworn off all-inclusive hotels in the Caribbean. Here you can have your menu designed around your dietary requirements; receive personal service from a friendly, accommodating staff; and simply relax around the beautiful pool and view, or go to Playa Grande beach or to the town of Cabrera. I enjoyed the non-touristiness of it all; it felt like an exclusive enclave. I've told many friends at home about the villa, and know that I'll definitely be returning.

As a freelance travel writer with 15 years' experience, I've seen my fair share of accommodation styles and properties all over the Caribbean. Ocean Palms Villa and its staff exceeded my expectations -- and the service, meals and housekeeping were second to none.
