I am Patricia Gorden owner of Ocean Palms Villa in La Catalina, Cabrera. My husband and I came to the Dominican Republic in 1988. We opened our Scuba Diving School in 1988. The business started out as a "mom and pop" operation. We were very successful, sold the scuba diving business (no longer a "mom and pop" operation) in November of 2006. We continue to assist people in making the correct informed decisions when investing in the Dominican Republic, or simply just enjoying their vacation to the fullest. This is an exotic and extremely fun place to live, and I'll be the first to say, "It is not for everyone ". I personally would not want to live anywhere else. Back in 1988 we were called pioneers in our endeavors and we would not change a thing to forfeit any of our experiences, it has made us stronger and so much more knowledgeable on the ways of the Country. I have lived and worked in Sosua, Cabarete, Rio San Juan, Abreu and Cabrera. I have over 19 years of proven experience in dealing with business and people here in the Dominican Republic.
