We stayed the last week of March 2012, 4 adults - the space was perfect for two couples. We loved the large living space on the second floor - the screened porch (where we ate outside every evening) was wonderful. Those who stay should know that the house is on a canal and is not ocean front. That aside - it is close to everything and the manager was very easy to reach. All the islanders are friendly and will talk about anything you want to ask. Charming house, charming people, great experience. Great value for the dollar. It was everything we could want for a first experience in Turks & Caicos.

We loved our time in Turks & Caicos. The 2 bedroom 2 Bath unit was well furnished. The property has all the little things like beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, bikes & fishing poles ready for use. The upstairs has an open floor plan and a nice deck for eating (along with a grill.) Downstairs both bedrooms are nice size with a large bed in each along with a flat screen TV. The AC worked well but we really did not need it with the nice breeze. We would certainly recommend this unit to anyone visiting. The only drawback is you need to drive to the beach but this is a minor inconvenience considering the space and price. Hope to return again to my taste of paradise.

My wife and have just returned from a wonderful month in Provo and Sweet Escapes Villa. The villa is exactly as seen on VRBO, all amenities as described, very clean and well maintained. The owner ,Kathryn, was on the island for a good part of our stay and dropped by periodically to make sure everything was going o.k. She was also very helpful in giving us info on what to see, where to eat , etc. She has also done up a booklet on these which came in very handy while we were getting acquainted with the island. We were having problems with the wifi when we arrived and Kathryn had it promptly fixed. The villa is ideally located . A 5-10 minute drive will take you to Grace Bay beach or any of the great restaurants. Grace Bay beach is definitely one of the best beaches in the world. We have visited a lot of the islands in the Caribbean and TCI is now our favourite. We had our morning coffee in the screened in porch, frequently had supper there and also had dinner with 6 friends with room to spare. Two good sized tables with lots of chairs. a short walk took you to the canal and the dock which has a couple of chairs for relaxing. The walkway is illuminated with rope lighting in the evening for guidance if going to the dock or providing nice ambiance from the porch. You can't go wrong with any of the restaurants. Tiki Hut (Wednesday night is Rib night! ) and Sharkbite in Turtle Cove are only a 5 minute drive. Nice casual cafe, Green Bean, in the same area. Try Mango Reef and Somewhere in the evening. We were extremely pleased with our " home away from home" and would definitely stay their again. When comparing the price point versus staying on the beach Sweet Escapes is excellent value. Thanks Kathryn for the two chocolate bars that were delivered at the airport...lol. Sorry we missed you before we left.... Hope you enjoyed the bottle of Chianti. Thanks for everything. Al and El

Our family spent a week at Sweet Escapes from Nov 20 - 27th, 2011. It was absolutley perfect. We were met at the airport by Wayne and he guided us back to the villa and then showed us around and explained everything to us. The property is absolutley perfect for a relaxing vacation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's in a quiet location but still close enough to everything that you don't feel like you're spending all your time travelling around. The Jeep rental was perfect. It allowed us to explore the island like we wouldn't have been able to staying only in a resort. The beaches are amazing and the water is unbelievable. It is now my new fave place!! We are looking forward to returning to Sweet Escapes next year for vacation. Katherine looks after everything and is prompt to answer questions while at the villa. It was the most amazing vacation we have ever had. Knowing that we didn't have to worry about anything was awesome. Thank you so much for making this so easy and enjoyable.

If you want more than just sitting by the pool for a week then this is the place. It comes with a Jeep! We went to various resturants, we went to amazing beaches, we went snorkling, we went shopping, we went on an awesome sunset Catamaran cruise, we went golfing, we went exploring the entire island. No sitting around getting bored! Sweet Escape is the perfect get away. Lovely home...clean as a whistle, all the little details of home were already here.... from beach chairs to coolers to bikes to fishing rods to boogie boards to fins and snorkel gear..... We would definately come back. I already miss sitting at nite in the screened in porch feeling the warm nite air nursing a glass of good wine...my final coment is about value. We stopped in at a couple of the large hotels....three times the price and NO Jeep! Perfect family destination or for 2 to 3 couples....

We (4 travellers) were so glad we chose Sweet Escape for our 1st trip to TCI. We much prefer this style of accomodation over the impersonal, expensive hotel/condo resorts. The house had EVERYTHING we needed; Katherine (owner) and Wayne (prop mgr) were so helpful with every aspect of our stay and always readily available. Pre-paid cell phones provided for our use were a nice touch! The washer/dryer allowed us to pack lightly. AC available (but not needed). 2 BRs w baths ensuite. We rented both Jeeps as we like to travel with amenities when we explore the island (chairs, coolers, umbrellas, snorkle gear - all provided!). During our stay, northern swells made Grace Bay like a washing machine so we went to the south-facing beaches (Long Bay etc.) and the Jeeps (weathered but tough) were perfect for the task (also went to NW Point w confidence). Central location: Grace Bay, Turtle Cove, Leeward, Long Bay, Airport, Taylor/Sapodilla/Chalk, IGA, Wine Cellar and most restaurants were all just 5-15 mins away. Nowhere on Provo felt like it was too far for us to get to in a reasonable amount of time. The canal out back was a perfect place for a late afternoon dip and drinks by the dock. Screened-in wrap-around porch was perfect for hanging out morning, noon or night. Quiet, safe, secluded neighborhood. We took advantage of the nice BBQ grill on the porch and ate in once or twice (excellent steaks at IGA; reasonable too!). Had some fantastic meals dining out as well - Magnolia, Bay Bistro, La Brisas (most go for lunch; we went for dinner), Tiki Hut, Sharkbite (fun bar - great staff), Baci, Conch Shack. For scuba we recommend: Flamingo Divers (10 min away) or Ocean Vibe (11 min away). Our best endorsement: After horseback riding w Provo Ponies (fun trip w horses in water @ Long Bay) we were chatting with some folks and telling them about Sweet Escape and our exploits on Provo so far that week. They inquired as to the cost of the villa for the week. It was so much fun watching their jaws drop when we told them! They said that they had paid $6K for their weeks stay in one of the resorts on Grace Bay (and the water there was too rough to enjoy)!! It totally reinforced our decision to stay at such a great place like Sweet Escape Villa. The adjacent cottage is perfect for extending the villa for a larger group or, if occupied, a great way to meet nice new folks (as we did). When we decide to return to Provo (and we will), Sweet Escape Villa will be our port-of-call!
Owner response:Dear Tim and Diane, Thank you both for taking the time to provide such a well thought out, detailed review. What a amazing 26 days at Sweet escape villa!!! This was our 3rd trip to Turks & Caicos but always stayed in hotel. Every trip to Turks my husband and I always wanted to stay longer so I found this cute villa that fit our family adventure perfect. We travel with our 14 month son "Jace" my parents, dog and, friends they t rented out the guest cottage. The layout of the villa I feel is perfect for everyone to relax in and plenty of yard space. We rented both Jeep while there which was so convenient. Kathy villa has everything a family needs to enjoy a wondeful vacation. I really enjoyed the walks to canal in early morning after having coffe on the deck.. Cant say enough about the amenties and attention to small details that was at the villa.. I have to mention why this is adventure not only did we miss our connecting flight in Atlantic but we incounter a hurriane while staying at sweet escape villa. Such a blessing we choose this villa becaues Katherine walk us through every detail doing and before the storm approach the island. Not to mention the location of the villa was out of the hurriane Irene path THANK GOD!!! The sky was amazing after the hurriane past is was like GOD spoke it was a sight to see.. We have travel to many islands in caribbean Turks beaches are our favorite BVI's we love also. Differently off the beaten path I encourage people to rent a villa its a much different vacation. Shopping at IGA like being at wholefoods in dc.. Thank thank You so much for everything that you provided for me and my family. I journal l this vacation it was emotional to be not because of the hurriane but I meet some wondering caring people it something I will talk about forever. Also Aug-Sept is slow month but its a great way to visit 4-5 stars hotels for happy hour, spa treatments everyone is so relax pet friendly and kid friendly :-) We will be back either this year or after Xmas holiday......Enjoy

We were lucky to have two weeks at Sweet Escape in mid May. Nice space and we didn't even need to use the air conditioning with the open sliders and fans. Good central location to wherever you want to drive to. Our favorite room was the screened in porch where we had the best meals (even better than at Magnolia!). The house is well equipped with supplies. The owner was very accommodating whenver we had a request. Would highly recommend.
Owner response:Dear Guest and Family, We are so grateful to you for your unsolicited testimonial. We had a great week at Sweet Escape. Katherine provides everything you could possibly need to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. The beaches and water were incredible! The house was very comfortable and clean. We especially loved the half day catamaran sail/snorkel with Wayne and JoJo the dolphin. Great memories. We will definitely be repeat customers!

My family just returned from the Sweet Escapes Villa and cottage for two weeks. I have never felt so emotional about leaving to come home from vacation before, I truly didnt want to come home. The property is beautiful! clean and very well managed. My husband and I along with my brother and his wife stayed in the villa and easily fell into the routine of coffee on the screened in porch very morning,! the view, the sun and the constant warm tropical breeze made it hard to think about doing anything else...so relaxing! My daughter and her husband along with their 19mo old daughter stayed in the guest cottage and it was the perfect size for their little family, they had enough room and also had their privacy. Enough about the property! Our private beach swim with Provo Ponies was a dream come true for my daughter, it was so intimate just her, myself with a guide on a 12mile secluded beach riding beautiful and healthy horses in the ocean, incredible! We also spent a day with Reef Peepers who took us out snorkeling, diving for Conch, and a lunch on a beautiful beach topped off with our favorite Rum Punch! My winter escape vacations have stopped here in TCI, no need to go anywhere else! Provo is a small island easy to get around, literally minutes to any beach! the people are incredible and friendly. Dont do a resort, become a local and really get to know the Island of TCI..you wont regret it.

Our first time on TCI, and the Sweet Escape was exactly that. An off-the-beaten-path oasis, this house was peaceful and quiet, very relaxing. A well appointed house with all the amenities, including the kitchen, washer and dryer, wireless internet access, wonderful linens on the bed. The hosts could not have been more nice and helpful during our stay. We will definitely be back to enjoy the house as well as the natural beauty that is the TCI.

The review title sounds cool hey!! But for sure, it wasn't cool as far as temperature it was wonferful, and in the 9 weeks I have spent at the Guest House and Villa it has only rained once and it was slight drizzle that lasted about 10 minutes "my goodness rain on my holidays what nerve" hahahaha. Back to the Villa my wife and I will not go anywhere else again we have been totally spoiled with accomodations and Beaches. If you are a couple and want to travel with friends this place is perfect, you will enjoy your stay immensely . Even a good place to take kids for a holiday there is alot to do on the property with Volley ball nets, a patio to sit by the Canal a swim platform and for the more adventurous with some boating experience the oppurtunity to rent the seadoo, or fishing boat at the property as well. I sound like a salesman which I am not but just can't say enough about our experience on the island and at the Guest Cottage and Villa. Don't give it another thought you will not be disapointed, maybe see you there sometime.

You will thoroughly enjoy this fine Villa right on a canal and a short boat ride to the ocean. You can catch snapper right off the dock at night! The house is in excellent condition and feels luxourious upon entering. We thought we'd need HVAC at night, but, the cool breezes and ceiling fans kept the house comfortable all day long. T&C is a hidden gem for scuba diving with walls challenging Cayman and Cozumel. You will not be dissappointed with Ocean Vibes for day trips. Large boats with no more than 11 divers gives you plenty of room to spread out. Try the Shark Bite and Tiki Hut for lunch or dinner or just head to the IGA a few blocks away for a grocery store that has anything you'd need. Tony the Tiger to USDA Filets!

Sweet Escape is the perfect place to stay in TCI. It has a very relaxing "cottage" atmosphere, with a Caribbean look and feel. Unlike expensive hotel/ condo rentals, you won't feel like you need to spend all of your time there, but it is so peaceful and relaxing you may want to! And as you would not want to miss the rest of the island experience, Jeep & Boat rental are available so you will have everything you could want in a vacation get-a-way! It is Paradise.... Can't wait to go back!

I just spent a week (April 2010) in the main house of this property and it was great. All the amenities of home. The rear upper deck is a great place to enjoy dinner and it can accomodate an intimate setting or medium family get together. The canal side seating area is great to relax at and when you get a little warm, the water temperature was perfect. I have been to Turks before and stayed at a resort. I would highly recommend Sweet Escape for those that are looking for a relaxing and quiet vacation setting away from the hustle and bustle of a resort. The island has something for everyone to do and many great restaurants to eat at. All in all a great time!

From the moment we walked into the villa we were not disapointed. It is fresh and clean and bright. Windows everywhere! The location to Grace Bay...my personal favourite and all the other beaches on this beautiful island is prime! The Jeep was an amazing addition, it gave us freedom to travel anywhere we wanted. The kitchen is equiped with every appliance and there is not a need for anything! You can cook yourself as we did for a few breakfasts...but why? The food on the island is uncomparable to any other place I have travelled to! The fish is to die for! Sharkbite was a great casual pub like place at the marina that we liked. All the restaurants on Grace Bay were beautiful! As far as the ocean colour...never seen a blue or a green like it in my life. We did 2 boat trips http://www.reefpeepers.com/ I would highly recommend this company!! They were amazing and it was a lot of fun! This is truly a place you can come with your family or friends or for a romantic trip. The people are warm and friendly and you will go home heavy hearted because you never want to leave!

Our extended long weekend (Wed til Tues) was excellent at the Sweet Escape Villa. Absolutely everything we needed was there and ready for our arrival. Suntanning at the dock and rinsing off with the dockside shower was great - kept me out there a lot longer than I would have been! Access to Turtle Cove was very close, about 5 minutes by car. Everything was very close when you're accustomed to living in a big city. We were fortunate to have discovered beaches at Taylor Bay, and also one nicknamed Pirate Beach! Both are tough to find, but well worth the effort. All in all, an excellent place to stay. I prefer not to be at a resort feeling obliged to stick around. At Sweet Escapes Villa, we did what we wanted, when we wanted - a perfect getaway! A++++

Well all I can say is rent this place it is beautiful and the best rental deal in Provo, a beautiful property and patio by the canal if you just want to kick back and relax, or you can rent a car and you are close to all kinds of restaurants and Beach access. I would rate this 5 star for sure, for rest and relaxation. Don't hesitate JUST DO IT

Hey....Thanks for taking such great care of your little peice of paradise. We had a great guys week in Provo. We went sailing on a 40ft sailboat with Captain Tom to French Cay on the South Side. We came back to the VILLA and cooked fresh Lobster Tails under the broiler. We went SCUBA DIVING with Wayne at Oceanvibes 6493311075.Diving off the wall is amazing- beautiful water. We say two spotted eagle rays and lots of colourful tropical fish. The sound system works great. We barbecued a stuffed grouper one night while we sipped Corona. The property is gorgeous and well maintained. We rented Jet Skis and parked them at the dock. The houses along the canal are beautiful. We went to the beach at the mouth of the canal and found our own conch. We had to learn how to cook this. Quite the Art. The location of this property was perfect for us and we felt very AT HOME! Congrats - we will recommend your Villa and Guest Cottage to our friends.

Our family vacationed here in 2008. We had an amazing time and the property is absolutely tranquil. It is so peaceful. We relaxed by the dock while our son swam and fished. We rented a jeep and travelled the entire island. The people are so freindly and we felt very welcome and safe. We went to IGA for groceries, to the lobster pound for fresh lobster tails and cooked them in the oven. They puffed up nice! WOW! They were yummy. The IGA has a great wine selection and you can buy cold Corona right now the street from the VILLA next to Bayview Motors. Turtle Cove Marina is soo close. We had dinner at Tiki Hut, Baci and Friday Night and Shark Bite. We went snorkelling from the beach at Coral Gardens. Amazing site. The house and property area amazing. We only had to use the Air Conditioning a few nights. The rest of the time their was a nice tropical breeze. We plan on going back this winter with freinds and they will rent the guest house. Thank You for sharing your home with us.

Just got back from TCI this week and wow, what a great place our villa turned out to be. There were 6 of us at the villa for my dad's 50th birthday and we really enjoyed the solitude (just a few occasional barking dogs.) Also had a great private dock to go swimming in the canal and the property manager was extremely helpful. Clean, comfy and very-well located for a short stroll to Bight Bay and Turtle Cove Marina.
