A professional interior decorator remodeled the entire condo in 2007, and I get rave reviews! Edisto Island is in the ACE basin, which provides pristine water with beautiful, un-crowded beaches surrounding this walkable barrier island. Enjoy local shrimp and seafood at this unspoiled spot that doesn't allow high rises and chain stores, so grab an ice cream cone and enjoy palm-covered Edisto Island!

I am a mother of a teenager, and our family of three has been enjoying the low country of South Carolina since 1993. We live in Vermont, and travel to South Carolina as often as we can, sometimes four times a year!
Why the Owner Chose Edisto Beach
I bought this unit because of the three that were available, this one had the best location of any. It is directly on the golf course, so the views are out on the long fairways, not towards the neighbors, or the parking lot. The pool and activity center are across the tree-canopied parking lot. It is so convenient. We pack a picnic lunch or dinner and eat at the tables by the pool! My unit is the furthest out, so what foot traffic there is does not disturb you.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
We enjoy the professionally decorated charm of the unit. The laundry facility allows us to be more comfortable on longer stays, we can get by with much less luggage. After dinner and a day at the beach, we rent a movie and settle in our cozy studio and leave the drapes open to the views and sunsets, because there are no neighbors to block the view!

OK place, some disappointments

The entry for this place said 'cable/satellite tv'. It doesn't deliver much. The studio is OK. But if you want to watch any tv in the evenings, better go somewhere else. As noted by an earlier review, tv is limted. Appears to be 4 channels: nbc, cbs, abc and etv. We are here for a month, so some evening tv watching is desired. Sorry, but this place doesn't deliver. If you want to watch the NCAA championships, sorry, not available. If you want to watch the masters on ESPN, sorry, not available. If you want to watch CNN about the Libya news, sorry, not available. If you want to watch Discovery, sorry, not available. If you want to watch History, sorry, not available. If you want to watch the Cooking channel, sorry, not available. If you want to watch the Master's Golf Thursday and Friday, sorr, not available. If the owner had stated that the cable/satellite was so limited, we could have brought our own portable dish, but alas she didn't. We enjoyed going out in the daytime. But: 30 days of no evening news, (CNN Libya, Japan, Egypt, all big stuff we would have liked to have followed) No Discovery Channel, no History Channel, no Science Channel, no ESPN, no nothing but canned broadcast channels........ What a disappointment. I would have gladly paid the $30 dollars difference to have some decent tv to watch in the evenings, but that wasn't an option.

Great efficiency unit, perfect location for golfing vacationers, within a short walk to the clubhouse. Although the unit is quite small; it is perfect for a couple. Nice little tv/dvd; perhaps a few more channels would be great...but not in Edisto to watch tv; nice furnishings, and great little deck overlooking the 18th hole. Also very close to pool/rec.centre. Although typical policy of most Edisto rentals, it would seem appropriate to include a few items like cleaning supplies,toilet paper,staples,...rather than needing to purchase...minor issue though. We were fortunate to have neighbouring units 'unoccupied', so very quiet. ...we would rent again.
