My wife and I recently returned from our stay in the Tree House. We had a wonderful time. We loved the location, the beach (Redonda Bay, especially), the proximity to the Acqua Wellness Resort (for massages, dining, etc.), the wildlife (birds, monkeys, etc.), and the Tree House. For the most part, the home was beautiful, comfortable, and in great condition, though the bathrooms (especially) and kitchen could use some work. Our only disappointment was that the Tree House does not provide as much privacy as we had hoped. There are neighboring houses nearby. More importantly, each day we were there the staff arrived early in the morning and stayed for most of the day, so there was almost always someone else nearby whether we were by the pool or in the house (since the large windows do not have curtains). It's a minor critique, but we were hoping to have more privacy. Overall, we loved our stay at the Tree House and and we would love to return with our kids some day.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

My husband and I and our 2 year old and 6 year old stayed here for a week in the summer. We are from Texas and found the weather to be great and cooler than Texas in the summer (July). The house is a nice size and had everything we needed--ac, a fridge and lots of beds and bathrooms. It was a perfect place for us to stay with easy to deal with owners and staff. No complaints. The house is in a jungle by the beach. It is very comfortable and beautiful area and we felt extreemly safe. We will go back again. Note, and this has nothing to do with the house but if you take a young family be prepared to entertain them, this is not a water park. If your kids like the beach, hiking and having a small pool and you can bring some board games, this is a great place for you. You can hire cooks, maids and perhaps a sitter (did not do this personally so am not positive) though, if you plan ahead. All the staff, and frankly everyone in Nica, was extremly friendly and the cost of the addition help is very cheap by US standards. There is a restaurant w in walking distance and a couple of really small towns but if you want to cook or don't want to eat out, get your food in Managua and bring it down, as the closest grocery store is about 45 minutes away. We used a driver when necessary but were on foot most days. You can rent a car, but make sure you are a good navigator without a lot of directions and that you get a 4 wheel drive. We felt VERY safe ALL the time, and I am not sure I would have felt as safe driving alone w out any prior knowledge of the counrty and customs (like the fact that the police pulling you over for a small bribe). Oh, and no scorpions or nasty bugs (there were bugs) to speak of, and we heard that that is not the case at "eco lodges".Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Beautiful home. Overall this is perfect place for families or couples who want to feel like they are somewhat isolated from the rest of the world. This house offers the ablity to relax while having almost everything thing you need. While the house is perfect to relax at we did encounter a lot of construction noise starting at 7am every day due to other homes being built. I do however recommend planning out all meals and buying food before you head down to this home, especially if you do not have a car. Be aware though when cooking that the house and most of Nicarauga has ant problems, so clean up food as fast as you can or you will see ants everywhere. There is a village near by that has some great dinning out options along with a small store to buy things that you may have not thought of before getting there. To get to this village one either must be in pretty good shape as the walk to the village is about 35 to 45 minutes and is up and down. While walking to the village is an option I would recommand renting a car since the drive to the Village is a couple of minutes instead along with option to take day trips all over Nicaragua.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The Tree House is one of the most amazing houses I've ever seen, let alone stayed in. The house was beautiful inside and out. There were six of us and plenty of room, the house is well equipped. The pool area overlooking the Pacific Ocean was pure serenity, we spent many afternoons sunbathing and many evenings gazing up at the millions of stars. The beach was just a short walk and we seemed to have the beach to ourselves most days. We were also fascinated with the howler monkeys, birds, wildlife, etc. The staff was friendly too, they came to the house every morning to make sure we had everything we needed. We rented a 4X4 and had no problems driving from Managua, it's an adventure. The Nicaraguans are very kind and eager to help. We visited the Magnificent Rock, the Masaya market, Grenada and went on Canopy Tour, it was a great trip! We miss Nicaragua and our group has already discussed returning!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

We loved every minute of our stay at the Oceanfront Treehouse. Everything was wonderful from eating out to cooking in - using the Weber, having drinks on the deck "between the tree trunks" bar. We hope to return to this lovely paradise soon!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

House was awesome, howler monkeys visited almost every morning. Beach was beautiful and very private. About 10 people at beach total the two days we went to it. short drive to other beaches. the only problems we had were the driving directions. 2.5 hour drive took us 5 hours because we got lost. photographs are different than real life. otherwise it was a great vacation . thanks we will return.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We spent 3 nights here, and were not disappointed at all. The views are wonderful and the house is quite unique and very clean. The beach & pool were like a dream. Grace and Sergio were extremely helpful. Sergio drove us all over and made sure we were safe and happy. He actually came into the supermarket to give us advice on what to buy!! We would recommend this to friends.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We loved our experience so much that we are going back tomorrow. This time we are going for longer and spending a week on the Corn Islands and in Granada before another week at the magnificant Oceanfront Tree House! Nicaragua is a beautiful place with wonderfully kind people. In addition, the Tree house is amazing! Our favorite is the experience of the wildlife everyday. The Howler Monkeys visit every day and are quite amazing to watch. We loved the neighboring town of Gigante and walked there most days. Loved eating at Pili's and Buena Vista on the hill. Everything is amazing- the house, the people, the wildlife.. I cannot say enough good things.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Beautiful home with lovely deck, great views and peace and quiet! My family spent Christmas and New Years in this great house. It was everything it was advertised to be. The monkeys woke us up on Christmas morning and entertained us almost every day. The house was super clean and well appointed, plenty of linens, handy washer and dryer, satellite tv entertainment. As promised, internet is somewhat spotty, but who cared? I would recommend additional seating on the deck and around the pool. The house is a short 5 minute walk from the beach, which is generally deserted. We went down for the sunset every night! The drive from Managua and Granada is interesting, to say the least. The Nicaraguan people are friendly and helpful. We visited Granada, Ometepe Island (go for the whole day and make ferry reservations), the towns of San Juan Del Sur, Gigante and Rivas. Magnificent Rock and the hot springs (about 30 minutes north) are worth the bumpy ride on the dirt roads. All and all, an excellent place to get away from the rat race, and still be super comfortable.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Though we have returned to the states physically, we're still mentally sitting on the tree house deck playing with the monkeys, watching stunning sunrises and sunsets, listening to the birds dance around us while the waves crash against the cliffs below. A really spectacular location to retreat from life in the states.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

The house was beautiful and super comfortable. The views were spectacular and the wildlife (monkeys) came right up the back tree and took up residence fore the whole day! The beach area was nice and secluded and felt very private. The water was great and we spent our days relaxing and reading down there. We felt very safe and secure in the housing area with guards always on duty. I would highly recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a quiet, sun filled, relaxing vacation!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family and I spent Christmas week at this magnificent home overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We have traveled the world over, yet this house and its breathtaking setting outshines by far everywhere else we have stayed. The beach was picture perfect! Clear and calm water, surrounded by fabulous scenery. Can you imagine having a beach practically to yourselves on Christmas Day??? Ron helped us with all the advice that we needed for an unforgettable trip. The house was immaculately clean and well-furnished. The pool was serviced everyday and the views were unbelievably spectacular! The people of Nicaragua are warm, friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed every moment, from viewing beautiful sunrises and sunsets, to gazing at stars every evening from the porch or from sitting on the beach. We saw howler monkeys, colorful parrots, and amazing reef fish while snorkeling. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and for anyone that desires the opportunity to being close to nature and its beauty. You will not regret staying here. In fact, we're already planning a return trip!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Thanks Ron for the note regarding the prompt return of our deposit and thanks in particular for letting us enjoy your Nica home. We are not tourist oriented folks here so the lack of Gringos and subsequent interaction with the local Nicaraguan people was most enjoyable. Got to add that although we have never felt in any sort of danger in Nica, we really had no worries at your home. As much as I could tell, we had our own personal security guard outside the home pretty much on a 24 hour basis. And those monkeys. The morning of our last day there the monkey family was obviously not having a good day. Much screeching and howling and feuding right in the Panama tree. My best guess? Adolescent conflict of some kind. Certainly entertaining and certainly had no trouble waking up early that day!!! We didn't mind, of course, since early morning, in our estimation, was the most beautiful time to be at the cove at the bottom of the hill. Also thanks for hooking us up with Fidel's phone number. A two hour boat trip got us to see every beach public, secluded and otherwise up and down that section of the coast. That offshore break at Colorado Beach is certainly impressive. I guess you can tell, we had a great stay at the treehouse.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The Tree House is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Nica. The property is very comfortable and Arenas Bay is absolutely stunning. Redondo and Gigante beaches are easily accessible, and most days we had them all to ourselves. It was also nice having the Aqua Resort nearby, as their restaurant is excellent and their staff friendly and helpful. The property manager arranged airport transfers and day trips for us which we found to be a convenient option to renting a car. Finally, it should be noted that the owner really goes out of his way to ensure you have a great trip. We highly recommend this rental.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

My friends and I stayed at the treehouse for a week and absolutely relished the whole experience!!! We loved our tree house views, morning coffee on the deck overlooking the pool, napping howler monkies in the afternoons, evening sunsets and killer sangria at the Aqua restaurant. Our private beach was nice too! Gigante is adorable and the people are very friendly. We really didn't want to return to California after our Nica experience! Also- Ron (owner) was super helpful during the whole process as far as getting us to the house and everything else we could've needed. I highly recommend this treehouse for an incredible paradise vacation.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We enjoyed very much staying at this amazing tree house. Our two boys, ages 7 and 10, thought it was truly magical. We loved the house and its furnishings, the pool, Redonda beach just seconds away, the views, the weather, the monkeys, EVERYTHING WAS FABULOUS, even better than in the pictures! The daily cleaning service (included in the price) was also a nice plus, and we even had access to a washer and dryer in the separate guesthouse that comes with the tree house (1/2 of it is a laundry room, the other 1/2 is a guest room). A new restaurant (serving authentic cuisine from Spain and run by the neighboring development Aqua) had its grand opening the second night of our stay there. The restaurant is located right on Redonda beach. Its menu was limited but the food was FANTASTIC. Very authentic (and I happen to be from Spain) and fresh ingredients. Will definitely recommend this property and place to friends looking for vacation ideas in Central America. Note: You need a car to stay here. Also, the dirt roads that lead to the property are challenging. We, and especially the boys did not mind this, as it is quite frequent in Nicaragua and it added to the feeling of adventure, but some people might. The extra services provided by the Management agent (not the owners) are a bit pricey. You can hire taxi service, car rental, surfing lessons, a cook, etc. etc. on your own for quite a bit less.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
