TWO BEDROOM and TWO BATH, OCEANFRONT CONDO: Gorgeous ocean views are amplified by mirrors. This non-smoking condo is excellent for families or two couples. There is a queen bed in each bedroom, and the sofa and a floor cushion will accommodate two additional guests, for a total of six. Two bathrooms will easily handle the traffic. The unit is spacious, and will be furnished with brand new furniture from Pier 1 in December 2009. (Sorry we don't have better interior photos yet). It was completely remodeled in 2007, and repainted again in October 2009. It also has an in-unit washer/dryer and brand new Sharp flat screen TV and iPod/iPhone player. It has a fully-equipped kitchen and all linens are provided.
MENEHUNE SHORES is a peaceful, oceanfront complex located on the beach in Kihei, a twenty minute drive from the Kahului airport. Shopping, surfing and excursion opportunities are only minutes away. Our third floor lanai overlooks the pool and the ocean, with views to West Maui and the island of Lanai. You do not look out at other condos like many other complexes, just green and blue space. The heated oceanfront pool, barbecue grills, and shuffleboard are located next to a shady, beachfront park. More grills and tables are located on the roof deck which provides a 360-degree view of Molokini Crater, Lanai and Kaho’olawe islands, and Haleakala Volcano. Best views in Kihei! Protected swimming at the King’s Pond Beach is a plus for visitors who want ocean swimming without the impact of large surf. Humpback whales can often be seen from the condo December through April, and in fact the National Humpback Whale Marine Sanctuary headquarters and lookout is next to the property.

We are an adventurous family of five from Encinitas, California. We love camping, surfing, skiing, hiking and traveling as much as our work and school schedules (and finances) allow.

We bought this property when we had an opportunity because of our love of the islands and Maui in particular.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
Menehune Shores is ideally located on the north side of Kihei, where it is quieter and more peaceful, yet only a mile from shopping, restaurants and all the activities Kihei offers. It is also convenient to get to anywhere you want to on the island without a long drive, whether it's Wailea/Makena, the North Shore, Lahaina/Ka'anapali, or Kahului and the airport. There is a quiet little beach adjacent, the National Humpback Whale Marine Sanctuary headquarters next door, then green space beyond that. We love that you look out on ocean and green space, not other condos! Plus the beach in front is mellow and kid-friendly.
