  This house was perfect for our family of 7 (husband, wife, 3 boys, au pair and dog)! It was beautifully maintained and very well stocked. In a quiet part of town, with nice short hikes within walking distance (old cemetery, Asheville school). The hostess was lovely, even offering to pay for a day in (movies) when the weather was bad. We found a back way to West Asheville, and I think we ate at nearly every well rated restaurant. My boys loved having a bubble bath in the jacuzzi tub. Despite the unseasonable cold, it was a fabulous vacation. Thank you!

  This West Asheville girl came back home to my roots and this wonderful house was the cozy I needed! Close and convenient to downtown, Biltmore, Weaverville...wherever you want to go is only a 10-15 minute drive TOPS! We chose to spend most of our time enjoying this wonderful house and taking in the beautiful surroundings. Right before we left we saw five deer just beyond the balcony deck just milling around and adding to the pleasure of our visit! My Sig Other is an artist and drew you a special picture in your guest book! We hope to come back soon! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

  I almost hate to write this review because I don't want this house to be booked next time I return to Asheville. First and foremost I am a travel snob and like to stay in really high end places close to the local shopping, dinner, etc. This place is amazing. I have been to Asheville quite a bit recently and bring my dogs and I seriously wanted to put an offer on this place. It is very clean and doesn't smell like dogs. I love my dogs but don't want to see the leftovers in my house from other dogs. This place is spotless. Second, Teri is a pleasure to work with and that really helps the vacation experience. I knew I was going to stay here after corresponding with her. She is so kind and responsive. So here is my rest of a review: 3. The house is close to Downtown Asheville. Depending on traffic it can take 8 to 15 min. I like to be close and the drive is great. 4. It is in West Asheville. An area I haven't explored before but go down Haywood Rd and experience the local deli and bakeries and grocery store. A vet fun vibe and the people are so nice 5. You are in a quiet neighborhood so you have privacy and yet close to downtown. I mean I saw a big buck deer today in the backyard and then drove 10 min to downtown 6. The pictures don't do it justice. This house is really clean and really cool. I could move in and wasn't sure about the interior when I rented it. Gorgeous hardwoods and comfy furniture. High ceilings. New fixtures and not crowded with stuff like other rentals. Very tastefully decorated. I really did love it here. 7. Plenty of walking places for the dogs but they also have a doggies door and a dog run that is fenced in. My dogs are in heaven out here. 8. The kitchen. I like to cook and most of these places have a few plates and bowls and call it a kitchen. This place has so many cooking tools you don't have to bring your own but can use everything they have here. Including spices and zip lock bags. I have to admit I usually wash the dishes in a house before using because I feel they are gross. Not here this place is spotless. 9. The bed is super comfy and great in the Master. Haven't been in the other bedrooms but amazing. 10. Decks and seating for meals or enjoying the view. Amazing. 11. I hate to admit it but full cable and on demand if you want to vege on the couch. Gorgeous new home with friendly owners. I just hope you aren't booking this house when I want to come back for my next trip.

  We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. It was way better than staying in a hotel for sure! The house is cozy, with plenty of space for a group of three. Although we only had a small number of people, this place could easily accommodate a larger family and there are so many areas to just hang out with the gang and have a good time. Best of all, the place is dog friendly! The staircase leading to the basement (which is so much more than a basement) could be a little slippery for the four-legged friends, but if you have a dog that respects gates, one is provided for you that you can put up separating the main level and the stairs. This is definitely a comfortable, clean and nice place to stay if you are planning a trip to Asheville. You can tell it is loved by it owners :)

  This house exceded our expectations for the month stay in that it was so very CLEAN and well located to all the things we wanted to do while we were in Asheville for a month. We were able to have lots of family and friends to visit during the month. The laundry room was spacious enough to hold the provided crib during our grand daughter's visit. We had a couple of issues when we first arrived but the owner was very receptive to have them handled in a timely matter. There is no mailbox so we had to contact the post office to hold our mail which was forwarded. I loved the fact that there was such a good place to go walking in the woods just out the front door. We enjoyed the deck in the woods for breakfast and dinner. When it had rained we sat on the front porch to read. The neighbors were all great and so friendly.

  How seldom do our expectations not only get met but exceeded---this house did just that!!! We were disappointed in nothing-the house was lovely, immaculately clean, roomy, beautifully decorated and comfortable!!! We arrived for our daughters wedding and found the house had everything we could possibly need or even want. The location was excellent, easily accessible with an easy drive to the airport or to downtown. Best of all--it was all so easy. From the first contact with Teri until the final thank you!! Very professional but friendly and very eager to assure that our visit was a very happy memory!! Thank you so much and "Yes, we would love to come again!!!"

  This home was exactly as represented, clean, comfortable, roomy and airy. The owners were very easy and accommodating, making the transaction smooth and pleasant. We stayed for three weeks and recommend this home highly.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners.

  We stayed in this comfortable, CLEAN, home for most of February, 2011 and we were very pleased. The home was exactly as represented and the owners were very agreeable and attentive. The home is open, airy and roomy and the location to Asheville and shopping is quite good. This rental is a good value!

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners.

  Dear Teri and David- Finding your home on the "Home Away" site was only the beginning of one of the best weeks of our lives. We wanted to rent a house that would be convenient to the Crest Center where our youngest son and his bridge married on October 23. However, what we got was truely a home-so full of warmth and comfort in every way! It is simply terrific! Teri I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to bother you with so many emails and telephone calls! Your response was always quick and friendly. I truely felt you wanted our special week to be just that. Kris, the handy guy, is terrific-what a pleasure to meet him! And also to meet Lynne, the handy gal. Our dinner party following the wedding rehearsal was a roaring success. All the guests roared about how great your home is (and everyone grabbed a brochure!) (I almost didn't want them to since I'd like to move here permanently- haha!) =D We definately want to be your guests again.
