The fabulous Plum Island ocean beaches are a half mile walk, bike ride or car ride away. The seven mile long, undeveloped Parker River National Wildlife Refuge is a mile from the house, and is a haven for bird watchers, cyclists, and families seeking unspoiled beaches for swimming and tide pooling.
The city of Newburyport, full of old world architectural charm, and modern stores and restaurants, is a five minute drive away.

Year Purchased: 1999
We bought this house because we love Plum Island and we found the sunset views from this house spectacular and unusual for the East Coast. We love that it is next to a tiny unknown beach that is usually empty, and our kids always used to love to run around in the tide pools.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We love biking, kayaking, walking through the tide pools, walking to the ocean beach on the other side of the island, having drinks at the Plum Island Grill.
