Enjoy 180 degree panoramic mountain views of Mt. Rose to Northstar and down toward Reno! This charming chalet is light, bright and homey. It has been remodeled with bamboo floors, white washed pine walls, enameled Erin woodstove on raised River Rock hearth, new Crate & Barrel furniture, gorgeous kitchen w/ granite countertops, Kitchen Aid stainless gas stove, microwave, refrigerator w/ French doors, and dishwasher. Enjoy the mountain views eating breakfast at the raised bar or dining at the beautiful cherry wood table.
The chalet is two story, with a bath (w/ tub and shower curtain) and bedroom with a double bed downstairs. Upstairs are two additional bedrooms with queen beds and a bath with custom tiled shower.
The property features a large deck and small upper balcony. There is a parking pad (no garage).
Rental comes with all the Tahoe Donner amenities (w/ pass and guest fees). In Winter, enjoy Tahoe Donner's great learn to ski bowl a short walk around the corner and its great Cross Country Ski area, a short 5 min. drive. World class ski resorts, Squaw Valley, Northstar and Sugar Bowl are a 20 to 30 minute drive away. There's also ice skating at the Truckee Regional Park, Northstar and Squaw Valley, as well as nearby snowmobiling, snow boarding and sledding. The kids can sled right on the property, between houses and you can cross country ski in the backyard under a full moon. Tahoe Donner also has a sledding hill near the Trout Creek Rec Center. Trout Creek Rec Center offers summer and winter swimming, hot tub, sauna, steam room and workout/weight room and various classes, like yoga, etc.
Summertime, enjoy golfing, tennis, and/or horseback riding at the Equestrian Center, hiking on the many trails, biking, rafting down the Truckee River, kayaking on Donner Lake or Tahoe, picnicking, hiking, etc. The Tahoe Donner Assn. also offers a beach front amenity at Donner Lake, with pier, kayak, windsurfing, and paddleboard rentals, volley ball, and bar b q pits and snack bar. Stop by the Northwoods Club house and check out the week's activity list. Tahoe Donner offers camps for kids and teens and lots of family fun.
Dining out is easy with The Lodge on the golf course or Pizza on the Hill.

About the owner: Owner is a film professor and filmmaker, single parent of a 9 year old girl who enjoys cross country skiing in the winter and swimming, biking, kayaking on Donner Lake and hiking in the summer in beautiful Tahoe/Truckee.

I chose Tahoe Donner because of the great amenities and recreational opportunities all seasons. I fell in love with the view of this property. The peaceful mountain panorama with morning sunrises and evening alpine glow never fails to fill my soul and is the perfect antidote to the busy urban life I normally lead. In my Tahoe Donner chalet and surrounding area, I find the healthy exercise I enjoy and the rest and relaxation I also need.
The Unique Benefits at this Chalet:
My family, friends and I enjoy the amenities of Tahoe Donner, including TD's fabulous cross country skiing in the winter. My 9 year old daughter enjoys downhill skiing in TD's great learn to ski bowl around the corner and loved the Ski Flakes Ski School to learn to skil! She also enjoys sledding with neighborhood children right on our property and the TD sledding area near Trout Creek Rec Center. Summer time, we enjoy swimming at Trout Creek Recreation Center, the children's camps, Family Hot Tub, the beach at Donner Lake with BBQ's and kayaking, horseback riding and tennis. We also love driving to Northstar to ice skate and roller blade. I have enjoyed years of fabulous downhill skiing and Squaw Valley, Northstar and Sugar Bowl resorts, which are 20 to 30 minutes away by car. Summer time also offers wonderful outdoor concerts and Shakespeare in Sand Harbor! Truckee Rec offers a range of camps/classes for kids and adults in the new Rec Center.
