Big Burn is located at the base of Big Powderhorn Mountain. We purchased the house 5 years ago when our kids first started skiing. The entire house was gutted down to the studs and completely remodeled. Big Burn is family friendly and we welcome kids.
The house is listed as it sleeps 6. However, we can accommodate more with 2 futons and two pull out couches. But I will forewarn you that futons and pull outs are best suited for kids and the beds are best suited for adults. The futons and beds are new, and linens are changed with every guest via Big Powderhorn Lodging.
Stay in single family house with first class amenities and the advantage of having 24 hour lodging assistance. We use the house at least once a month and all the amenities we use, we leave for our guest.

Why the Owner Chose Bessemer
We bought a house at Big Burn because the first time we visited the area, we had the most amazing time with our kids. They loved the area and the mountain. Big Powderhorn Resort is perfect for the kids to learn to ski and challenging enough for the adults.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Besides skiing (by the way there is a free shuttle bus to the hill) there are so many other activities in the area - cross country skiing, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, fishing, hunting. In the summer Lake Superior is only 12 miles away. You can swim in Lake Superior or any of the dozens of waterfalls on the way to the lake. In the up and northern WI there are hundreds of miles of snowmobile and ATV trails. Summer or winter you will not be disappointed with Big Burn or the UP.
