The description of this home and property were accurate. This home has plenty of room to accomodate the 11 of us! Liz (owner) and Robbie (property manager) were very accomodating. Liz had a couple of air mattresses for our 3 unexpected guests for the one night and Robbie allowed us to park our boat trailer in her office parking lot. The home was very clean and had everything we needed to cook each night and there were even board games that we could play! The only complaints we have are the beds were a little uncomfortable, the a/c took a little time to cool the house off in the heat of the day and the grill didn't have any propane(Robbie told us it was our responsibilty to fill). Those problems did not spoil are trip though! We loved the location. It was close to the boat ramp and Publix wasn't too far down the road. We will definitely be back because of how well we were treated by the owner!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home. This is one of the cleanest vacation rentals our family has ever stayed in. The area is just beautiful and very private. The little town of Old Homosassa is so cute, but there is a major grocery store close enough to be convenient. We had a great time kayaking the Weeki Wachee and some of the springs in the area are the prettiest I have ever seen.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We love this area of the gulf coast. The vacation house was more than we expected. (It seems much larger than the pictures. We had eight adults and grandkids and were not in each other's way.) The dock, the sand under the house, Weeki Wachee, the manatees and the flamingos at the wildlife refuge, the Freezer (great peel and each shrimp) all add up to make this a most memorable family vacation. The guys rented a boat from McRae's and kept it at the dock and the gulf called them most days. What tales they had upon safe arrival back at the house. We girls enjoyed a pedicure for all, grandgirls included, on a rainy day at Hollywood nails and loved the attention and massaging chairs. We made a day trip South to Tarpon Springs and enjoyed the food and atmosphere there immensely. The kids were already planning "next year" before we drove away, but with three new grandbabies on the way, it may not be next year. Liz, the property owner, was very easy to contact and returned all inquiries quickly. Robbie, the property manager, quickly solved an internet connection problem over the phone. We would deffinetly stay here again. The house and area were just what we needed to truly get away.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Cannot say enough. Immaculate property. Great location, all amenities worked flawlessly. Robbie was great for on-hand questioning (Thanks Robbie)! We were treated to a red-headed woodpecker making his home in a palm-great pictures. With our busy lifestyle this was a GREAT get away. We will definitely return! Recommend you rent a pontoon at MacRae's, eat at the Museum (Awesome Cubans), and get fresh fish at the seafood market (Shelly's).Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Our first stay in the Homosassa area. We couldn't have been more pleased with the house and our stay. A well equipped kitchen for times you don't wish to eat out and good cable and internet for the rare rainy winter day. The owner was great to work with on our reservation and stay. A get-away to nature area, w enjoyed sitting on the dock or deck early mornings and evenings to read or watch the birds, including a great blue heron that seemed to own the property.. Lots of options for local entertainment. Good restaurants with local coastal atmosphere are close; Neon Leon's, the Museum Cafe, Monkey Bar, Riverside Crab House and MacRae's provide variety of entertainment from Cajun to Blues...and a lot of sea food. We discovered a nature reserve with several short walking trails and an observation deck of the bay for bird watching only half a mile away. The "downtown" area is a mile and a half bike ride and the State Wildlife Park and the Manatees are just a bit further. We didn't bring a boat but canoe, kayak, and boat rentals and air boat tours are available in town or nearby Crystal River so we kayaked among the manatees. I recommend this rental to anyone who is looking for a responsive property owner, enjoys nature and doesn't want to be far from a choice of restaurants or entertainment options.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This beautiful home is spacious and tucked into the trees, a perfect setting for a relaxed trip. We used the grilll on the porch every night and loved the walkway to the dock. We kept our skiffs on the dock and really enjoyed having the water access. The owner and property manager were wonderful to work with and I've already recommended this home to multiple people.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We enjoyed our stay in this clean well appointed home. Bird watching was fantastic. Each day we were visited by Great Blue Heron, Anhinga, Turkey Vultures, Cardinals, Woodpeckers (unidentified), Brown Pelican (was fishing in the canal) and Great Egret (being fed by a neighbor). The house is conveniently located near enough to shopping and dining, but far enough for peace and quiet. Visited the Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park to see the manatees and many other Florida birds and animals. Even enjoyed the Hippopotamus! Would recommend for anyone! My husband and I, another couple and our children rented this home for Labor Day Weekend. The home was amazingly clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the porch with cocktails during the evening, as well as by the fire pit. The area was quiet and very private. We would definately rent this home again. The only issue we had was in navigating around the "rocky areas" of the creek with a large pontoon (we broke a prop) -- other than that, an excellent stay!! For those without a boat there is are many close business for rentals. Also, Neon Leon's restaurant is a "must" vistit -- wonderful food and great entertainment.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family has been going to Homosassa for the last 7 years for scalloping season. For the last 6 yrs we rented a hotel room and every year we would say that next year we are going to rent a house. Well, this year my family rented this wonderful house and we were so pleased. The house is spacious and tastefully decorated and has EVERYTHING you need. If your looking for the comforts of home while your away from home, this house has it. This was the best year for scalloping and the most comfortable we have ever been.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.
