The gourmet kitchen has killer views and is adorned with granite counter tops, Viking range, large island with 4 bar stools. The main floor has slate flooring throughout with in-floor heating. Walk out the slider to a large composite deck with covered area allowing you the choice of relaxing in the sun or the shade. Eat outside at the large stone outdoor table with 8 chairs, or inside at the dinning room table.
Travel up the handcrafted log staircase to the 2 bedroom suites. The master suite has a beautiful log bed with pillow top mattress, wood flooring, gas fireplace, slider to balcony, double head shower, jetted tub, and his and hers sinks. The other bedroom suite has 2 full beds, slider to private balcony, and private bath.
From the main deck walk down approximately 10 steps to the lower exposed aggregate lake-side patio, lounge in a chair while reading your favorite book, or dangle your toes in the water. The lower patio area flows into the stamped concrete dock. Swim and play from the dock with 2 swim ladders or put up an umbrella and relax and visit with friends and family on the dock. Enjoy the warmth of the sauna after your cool morning swim.
The separate guest cabin has a covered composite deck with outdoor table and chairs, on the lake. The main floor bedroom with queen bed adjoins the bathroom. Full kitchen with vaulted ceilings and killer views. The upper area is a sleeping loft with bunk beds and a futon bed.

Kelly and I have been enjoying the "big lake" for over 25 years. We truly enjoy and appreciate all that Sandpoint and Lake Pend Oreille have to offer. Hiking or biking from our front door to the unbelievable views from every room. Swimming and playing in crystal clear water just steps from the door. The lake has approximately 114 miles of shore line to explore by boat or personal water craft. Water ski or boat from the dock and then park your water craft(s) on the lifts which will keep them safe and worry free in the event of adverse weather and big waves.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Your enjoyment starts on the drive in with a newly paved private access road winding though the forest. Prepare your family meals in the gourmet kitchen or at the BBQ while enjoying the best views on the lake You will be looking across the water on the widest part (approximatly 7 miles)of the big lake. Southeast views include the, Islands, Green Monarchs, Scotchman's Peak and the mouth of the Clark Fork river. Looking down the lake to the south you can see over 20 miles towards the mountains around Bayview. Large dock with hydraulic boat lift and separate lift for personal water craft. Both the main house and the guest cabin have covered decks just feet from the lake each deck has its own propane BBQ. Launch your canoe or kayak from the beach and paddle along the shoreline of either Camp or Elliot bay. It is a short hike or bike to the Nature Conservatory Gamlin Lake trails through old growth cedar forest. Relax in the evenings around the fire pit on the beach, while roasting marshmallows and making s'mores.

Our extended family of seven adults and four children spent a wonderful week at the lake. The view is fantastic, the house is beautiful. We did some touring, visited the Bird Museum which is well worthwhile but in reality everything we needed was right there on the water - boating, fishing, swimming, jetskiing. All this with very few people around to disturb our serenity. At night we laid on the dock and saw the stars and shooting stars and even saw some satellites. All in all, we can highly recommend this.

The home and surroundings exceeded our expectations. The property was very clean, with the highlight of the home being the kitchen. Owners were very helpful and know the area very well. We rent every summer for family reunions and this was by far our favorite.

This house was so fun and relaxing, I almost hate to write a review and keep it our little secret. The house is in fantastic shape and very comfortable. The kitchen was more than adequate for all of our cooking needs. Having the ability to roll out umbrellas and relax on lounge chairs at the end of the dock was like having our own private resort. If we could just get the kids to bring us our drinks! Our boat was very happy to have the luxury of a boat lift. Our cabin rental the previous year, didn’t have such luxuries and the boat ended up with a lot of dock rash. There was a little snafu with the keys, but the owners actually drove out to the cabin to make sure we had gotten settled and everything was to our liking. We hope to return for many more Idaho vacations.

My family and I just had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful lake Pend Oreille home. The rooms are spacious and inviting, especially the kitchen and living room area. My boys, ages 15-23, enjoyed having the guest cabin all to themselves. I enjoyed the central location on the lake with easy access to Sandpoint, either by car or boat, for shopping and dining out. We utilized the dock and fabulous deck everyday, eating most meals outside. We really enjoyed the waves that roll in each night, just like the tide. It was the perfect family getaway location.

This is a first class rental property. The house is spectacular and even has a guest house attached. The kitchen is first class and has enough room so everyone can pitch in and not get in the way. There is a complete set of kitchen amenities instead of the usual mismatched set of a few dishes and pans.The master suite is particularly nice with a large jacuzzi tub and a great view to wake up to in the morning. The decks and dock make you want to be out side as much as possible. The dock is just steps away and is perfect for everyone to be on it at the same time. There are even built in umbrella stands and a boat lift. The main deck is very large and has a great view of what is going on out on the water. The owners are terrific to work with and seemed to care that we had a good experience at their property. Even the neighbors are nice, we met several and one of them even helped me with a problem with my boat.The pictures do not do this place justice, it is even better in person. It is a bit of a trip to go back and forth to Sandpoint, but I would rather stay here anyways and just go in for groceries. If you do go into Sandpoint we very much enjoyed the 2nd Ave Pizza Restaurant. It is close enough for an easy day trip to Silverwood amusement park. I would give this house and it's owners 6 stars if they were available.
