Why the Owner Chose McCall
We live just on the other side of Rio Vista Pond from this home, and some of our dearest friends lived there. It is such a beautiful, open and welcoming home, we had to buy it when our friends moved. Close to town, the lake and snowmobile trails and ski resorts, this home has everything accessible, but is tucked away in the quiet towering pines of the Rio Vista Neighborhood. With filtered views of the pond, the awe inspiring windows of the great room, bring the outdoors in . . . Great for families, or a group of couples, this home will accommodate your every need. The roomy deck in back gives access to a wooded back yard, a hot tub for 8, and a fire pit for marshmallow roasts! "You'll come to play . . . and want to stay!"
The Unique Benefits at this Mountain Home
In 2009, the Rio Vista Mountain Home was gutted and remodeled with a wonderfully contemporary mountain flair! The kitchen and baths are modern and functional, with all the amenities to make your stay perfect. For avid walkers or joggers, the route around the Rio Vista Pond is just barely over 2 miles, and sees very little traffic - unless you are referring to deer, fox, and an occasional black bear! The neighborhood is very quiet, with mostly "second-home" owners, so even though you are only one mile out of down town McCall, it feels very secluded and peaceful! Best of all, if you need anything at all, the owners live just around the other side of the pond, and can be there in a pinch. So why haven't you stopped reading and called us yet? We are looking forward to having you as our guests!

Ponderosa State Park has day use and overnight areas, wonderful hikes and biking trails, and a boat launch. Fee area.
Wonderful stretch of sandy beaches, boat launch, upper Payette River access for canoeing, etc. Fee area for parking.
Just like it says - wonderful trailhead for Brundage mountain snowmobiling.
Warm up your alpine skis, cross-country skis or snowboards on the user friendly trails of the Little Ski Hill - very reasonably priced!
Nothing like the powder on a winter day at Brundage - and nothing like the lack of lines too! Great skiing here . . .
Quiet, shallow lake - which is very scenic - great for fishing, or sight seeing! Great bike ride too!
Beautiful 18 hole golf course, surrounded by lovely homes, and scenic bike and waterways. Even if you don't golf, come walk or bike the trails . . .

My husband Brandon, and I fell in love with McCall from our very first visit. With all of our favorite outdoor activities right in our backyard, from skiing to boating, hiking, biking, fishing, snowmobiling. We knew we wanted to live and raise our three boys here in McCall. Shortly after we found our home, we realized how nice it would be to have a guest cabin for friends and family when they visit, as well as a rental for others wanting to enjoy McCall. We found the Storybook Cottage early in 2008 - and it was perfect! The guest demand was enough that we soon added the Pilgrim Cove Cabin, and Rio Vista Mountain Home to our list of rentals.
