"Wishes on the Wind" is a cozy mountain cabin situated on 6 private acres in Rixhaven Subdivision on Miller Mountain. The cool mountain air is just what the doctor ordered to clear the mind and soul.
The home features a vaulted great room with warm wood floors and ceiling. The stone fireplace warms you while it provides ambiance. Twin beds are great for kids situated in the loft area off of the great room. The master bedroom is spacious with a private bath, while the guest bedroom shares the guest bath off of the hall. You will enjoy watching wildlife and enjoying morning coffee relaxing on the deck.
This home is nestled in the wooded mountain landscape with a nearby stream that you can hear on a cool, still night. Listen to the crickets song lull you to sleep in the cool fall evenings. See the leaves change color during the season. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals. The downstairs basement is complete with sleeper sofa for extra guests.
This is an excellent place to reconnect and recharge.

Mark and I have dreamed of a mountain house nestled in a wooded quiet area for years. We were blessed with the opportunity of this wonderful cabin in the woods of Saluda. It is convenient to Historic downtown Saluda - rich with charm, good food, friendly neighbors and antique shops. This is the exact spot that came to us when we quit looking. We hope you will find our home "Wishes on the Wind" to be a magical place for you to make many memories with your family. Why the Owner Chose Saluda
We were looking for a location convenient to I-26, located in the mountains and in a quaint mountain town. When we found Saluda - this was it! We have looked at many other areas in higher elevations that were beautiful but the distance was farther than our home in Edisto Beach, SC and they would be challenging to have access year round with roads, snow, etc. We fell in love with historic downtown Saluda on our first visit. The old general store and Ward's soda fountain grill takes you back to the past. A wholesome family place to enjoy!
The Unique Benefits of this Mountain Cabin
Watching deer from the deck is commonplace. Talk a brisk walk through the community, listen to the wind whisper through the leaves, collect leaves for your scrap book, and enjoy many of the activities the nearby areas have to offer. This area is convenient to Hendersonville, Asheville and Chimney Rock is a short drive away. Coon Dog Days Festivals and many other festivals are available year round.
