Casa Encantada is located on the Pacific Coast less than an hour from the International airport in Managua, just south of the twin fishing villages of Masachapa and Pochomil. The house is situated right on the beach. The house was built in the late 90's as a private vacation home and was recently turned in to a full time private rental. If you are looking for a quiet getaway to spend idle days exploring the local beaches and towns, or a place to use as a base for exploring Nicaragua, this is a perfect location. Most of the major cities and attractions are within a 60-90 minute drive from here.
Transportation:
We can arrange for transportation to and from the airport. If you plan to do some local touring and see the sites of Nicaragua then we recommend you rent a vehicle at the airport. Rates are consistent with typical North American rental agencies.
Local Sites:
Granada - Nicaragua's fourth most populous city has a rich colonial heritage.
Leon - an architecturally interesting city with many old, colonial houses, streets, monuments, and churches.
San Juan del Sur - offers a lively mix of local culture and tourist amenities such as surfing and fishing along with beautiful beaches and exciting nightlife.
Tour the island of Ometepe or even take in an adventure hike of 1 of the 2 island volcanoes.
Take a tour of the Vulcan nature preserve at Mombacho.
Spend a day relaxing and swimming in beautiful Laguna de Apoyo about 1 hour south of Managua.
Spend a day shopping at the craft market in Masaya.
Take in the shopping and restaurants in the Gallerias Mall in Managua.

You are literally beach front with soft warm sand and the best waves around. The house was built in the late 90's as a private vacation home and was recently turned in to a full time B&B. This is a wonderful getaway home at the right price, so don’t hesitate to visit us. I can guarantee you a fantastic time. Once you spend time at our home you will feel rejuvenated and away from your hectic schedule. Pochomil Beach is simply magical. We are approximately one hour away from the International airport in Managua, just south of the twin fishing villages of Masachapa and Pochomil.
