DUPLEX APARTMENT
This spectacular duplex is just one of the apartments in the building we manage and one of its very finest. It measures over 710 square feet. It has a high pitched exposed brick ceiling. Light pours in from both the front spacious patio fountain area as well as from the rear of the apartment.
It is professionally furnished and decorated with modern elegance alongside charming antique touches. It is fully equipped with a Phillips flat screen television, Philips DVD player, as well as a personal stereo for your best home away from home experience.
The bedroom sits atop the unit and overlooks the living room and fountain patio area. The king sized mattress is a Simmons 5 star Beautyrest for sleeping comfort. There is a full bathroom upstairs offset from the bedroom and a separate toilet downstairs. Additionally from the couch downstairs, a queen-sized bed can be extended for extra guests.
The kitchen has a beautiful granite countertop and is fully equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, microwave, oven, 4 burner stove and all the accompanying equipment you would have at home. The dining room with 6 dining chairs is accompanied by a working fireplace.
NEIGHBORHOOD/LOCATION
Recoleta is Buenos Aires’ most safe, elegant and architecturally significant neighborhood, centrally located between historical San Telmo and up and coming Palermo.
Recoletas urban conveniences of restaurants, bars, museums, theaters and boutique shopping (see map) is broken up by large green plazas in every direction. The international airport of Ezeiza is just 40 minutes away while the domestic airport is a short 15 minute ride. The subway system connecting the entire city is a mere 4 blocks away.
BUILDING
You will be choosing not only to stay in a beautiful apartment but you will have the use of a stunning building and it's luxuries.
It is firmly rooted in Argentina's history as the former mansion of one of it’s most revered and famous families, Familia Peralta Ramos. The original elegance and charm of the building has been left intact, while we have fashioned the interior to not only meet, but surpass modern demands. Timeless elements such as the original building facade, old patio and grand entrance remain intact. Suites within the building are suited with Phillips flat screen televisions, Phillips DVD players, and stereo systems including iPods with a full library of music for your enjoyment. Hi-speed WI-FI runs throughout each of the buildings apartments and covers its shared common spaces which include a large open reception area as well as an outdoor terrace with dipping pool, outdoor shower & sun lounge chairs.
We have an office on the ground floor of the building with bi-lingual staff. We also manage several other units for rent. Please inquire.
BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY
If your dates are available, you can reserve them with a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Diners, or American Express)., Paypal, or U.S. bank deposit.
We ask for the total rent to be paid upon check in. You can pay in cash OR with credit card / Paypal ,/ U.S. bank deposit plus a 5% surcharge.
We have a minimum stay of 3 consecutive nights.
Prices quoted are for up to 2 people.
Additional guests (up to 2) are $20 each per night.
This does not include children under the age of 2.
Our real estate property management office in located on the ground floor and we are there Monday through Friday if you have any issues with the apartment or have general questions.
Our cancellation policy is a return of all deposits less a $100 service fee if we are notified more than 30 days in advance of check-in. Within 30 days of check-in, you will be charged 50% of your entire rental amount unless we can re-rent your property. In that case we will refund total monies paid or a prorated portion, less the $100 service fee. Our cancellation policy is without exception.

Over the course of 3 years I refurbished this building and divided it into 18 modern and unique apartments while maintaining much of the buildings beautiful antiquity. We were thrilled with our accommodation at the Poetry building and the service we received was top notch. We wanted a private apartment that was secure, clean, well situated to downtown, restaurants, cafes and attractions AND also offered a flavour of the vibrant BA culture. After our exciting kayak adventure down in Penninsula Valdez, we wanted some comfort and culture, something that is difficult to find when staying in a typically bland hotel room. Right from the first inquiry via email, to our day of departure, everything went perfectly. We ended up with a lovely room that offered outside Terrazzas from which we could enjoy the evening sounds of the city while sipping delicious Argentinian Malbec, but frankly, I am sure all of the apartments are equally nice. The location is in the heart of Recoleta, with easy walking access to the cemetery, the Subte (subway) and all downtown monuments and attractions. The front desk staff helped with airport transportation, bookings at restaurants and tango shows. Fabulous! The entire experience could not have been better. We will definitely be back - and SOON! We have booked other properties in other countries on VRBO and we have not been disappointed!

The location was great, a clean safe neighborhood in the middle of everything! We were 1-2 blocks from a grocery store, laundry, bakery, and ATM’s. Within 5 blocks there had to be 30 restaurants to choose from. With a $5-6 ($US) taxi ride you could be in Palermo Soho, San Telmo, Puerto Madero or Plaza de Mayo. The apartment was clean, modern and tastefully decorated and furnished. The free Wifi and cell phone was super nice. Best of all was the great hospitality of the bilingual staff. They were very helpful with reservations and tips about BA; they made you feel at home. Fabulous!!

My wife and kids were a little skittish about going to Argentina in the first place but staying in Brent's building made us feel perfectly at home. The place was better than the pictures show and the building was immaculate. Brent was great with all his tips and experience with the city and culture. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to really experience all that Buenos Aires has to offer.

My wife and I recently traveled to BA and booked our stay using VRBO. The flat was stunning with amazing attention to detail, as if no expense was spared. Service and amenities were comparable to any luxury hotel. The flat included all the amenities you need, (wifi, local cell phone, cable, flat screen, AC, fully equipped kitchen, etc.) and was beautifully furnished. The building was quiet, clean, safe, with a great roof deck pool. Management was responsive and timely. The neighborhood was safe and charming with several restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, etc., all within walking distance. A true neighborhood feel. I highly recommend this property.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to BA. We especially enjoyed our stay at Brent's apartment. Brent and Jannina were wonderful. Their attention to details was really appreciated, especially the fresh flowers on our arrival. The apartment is new and tastefully furnished, the layout worked very well and the building's architecture, blended history with modern stainless and glass. The Results.... Spectacular! One of our best trips.

We stayed in this unit during 2009 Xmas break. The apt is well furnished & tastefully done. The bedding, linen & sofa bed were of high quality & comfortable. It was perfect for our family of 4. Location is excellent & within walking distance to major attractions, restaurants & stores. This recently restored, charming building offered a quiet oasis after busy days of sightseeing. Brent & his team were professional & very service oriented. The provided pre-paid cell phone was useful to stay in touch with friends traveling with us. We highly recommend this apt & will use again when we return to Bs As.
