La Rondinella is a 1950s villa, facing the lake. The view is magnificent! It is situated near Lesa on the lively road bordering Lago Maggiore and stands several meters above the street. The property is reached through gates at the main road. From here, steps lead up to the garden (800 square meters), full of luscious flowers and trees. The panoramic long side of the house looks out onto Lesa Bay. Behind the house there is a pretty footpath with views of the lake, leading down to Lesa, where you will find a wide range of shops and good restaurants. The Rapanello Restaurant in Lesa offers delicious meals which can be ordered in advance and then taken home. The small harbor and lake-side promenade are just in front of the house - the water is only 50 meters away.
This modern, detached house has two floors.
First floor: an entrance hall, accessible from the garden via outside stairs along the side of the house, leads into a spacious living room with large windows. Both of the large window fronts in the living room have wonderful views of the lake. There is also a fireplace, a dining table which seats eight and access to a patio, furnished with table and chairs for 15 people. The kitchen is fully furnished and the kitchen table has room for six people. This floor also has a generous double room with views of the lake and a small patio (in this room one can lie on the bed and gaze out onto the lake and the sailing boats). There is also a twin-bed room, two single rooms, and two bathrooms - one with shower, the other with bath and shower.
Upper floor: the top floor has a simple and functional twin-bed room and two bathrooms (shower).
The furniture on the main floor is of high quality; materials and covers harmonize well and have been chosen with care. The house is equipped with fireplace, TV, telephone, dishwasher, washing machine, stove with oven, fridge, microwave and coffee percolator. Outside there is a patio and a lovely garden. Approx. 60 m from the house there is a public parking.
About the region: The region around Lago Maggiore offers a wide range of leisure activities. In the Valle Grande (35 km) visitors can undertake excellent trekking expeditions. There are two very good golf courses 8 km away; 40 minutes drive away you will find another 7 golf courses. Day trips can be made to the Borromean islands, the Brissago islands, to Arona and the botanic gardens at the Villa Taranto. The ferry at Belgirate is only 2 km away - a short 10 minute walk. Lake Orta, with the isle of S. Giulio is 30 km from the house.
A highly modern beauty and fitness center can be found in the wonderful 'Grandhotel Des Iles Borromees' in Stresa (10 km). This hotel has an as an ultra-modern fitness and beauty center with open-air swimming pool, indoor swimming baths with acquagym and tennis courts. Why not finish off your visit with a steam bath, sauna or hydromassage?
It is only a short walk (10 minutes) to the modern sporting club of Lesa with four tennis courts, a sauna, steam bath, fitness centre, two outdoor pools (one for adults, the other for children) with large lawns, as well as a bar with restaurant. Water sports such as sailing, surfing and water skiing are provided in Stresa and Belgirate. The boat club at Stresa is 10 km away. Here you can hire boats or have your own boat brought into the water and anchored.
The Milan/Malpensa airport is around 45 km from the property. The railway station of Lesa (local trains) is only a 5 minutes walk away, and the railway station of Stresa is about 6 km distant - and you can easily reach Milan from there. Therefore, this accommodation is well suited if you wish to travel without a car: From the main station in Milan there is a direct, regular train connection (Cisalpino) to Stresa, where you can take a taxi for the last 6 km to the property. Once on the premises you can make day trips in the region by taxi or by bus.

"Lovely lake view" Villa was well furnished, had a lovely view, was close enough to walk to restaurants, small market,etc. Especially lovely was being able to eat outside with the view of the lake. The only disadvantage was the many steps up from the road, but even those of us with leg problems managed.

"Relaxed family holiday in beautiful surroundings" Lesa was the ideal spot for a quiet relaxed holiday, close to activities in Stresa and Lago Maggiore and also to Milan for a day in the city. Close to the autostrada and railway.The house was close to the lake and had a perfect view across it. The accommodation was comfortable and spacious.
