We rented Casa Vaya Vida on the basis of previous reviews and are so thankful we did. The villa is really stunning: The water dominates every view. The pool was warm and big enough that our three children had a ball playing in it. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. The villa is also stocked with loads of fun games, which made our evenings extra fun. We loved riding around the island in our golf cart and trying out the many restaurants around. We loved Isla Mujeres, and most especially we loved this villa. Thank you, Teresa, for giving our family the most relaxing vacation we can remember!Did you find this review helpful? If you can't believe the water can be that blue, it can. When you stand on the edge of the pool deck, you have a 180 degree view of nothing but turquoise water. Casa Vaya Vida is located at the southern quiet end of the island, but not more that a 15-minute golf cart ride from town. The house is appointed beautifully and immaculately clean; the towels are fluffy, the beds are comfy and they've thought of everything - including a drawer of phone chargers! Take Teresa's advice and do the door-to-door transportation from the airport. Monica will take care of everything for you on site so you can really focus on your vacation. The house is absolutely beautiful! The pictures do not do it justice! The view is absolutely breathtaking. Isla Mujeres was a perfect place to on vacation. We were able to explore the Island as much as we wanted and sit back and enjoy the beautiful weather on the back porch when we wanted to relax. We will definitely be back! There is so much to do on such a small Island and everyone is so nice! Casa Vaya Vida was everything we wanted and more! The South point of the Island is much more relaxed and quiet then the downtown area and we were able to hop in the golf cart and be downtown in 30 minutes if we wanted to get out and meet people. The perfect combination!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

After our recent stay at this house we all decided we would be happy to return there. The house has all the amenities, is comfortable, and has lots of "hanging out" spaces on different levels. It is a secluded location that is just a short golf cart ride away from all island activity. Our only complaint is that the swimming pool looks a lot larger in the pictures. It is accurately described as Grand piano shaped - but that is also the size of it! The owner and staff are all friendly, accomodating, and helpful. Love it!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

I've just arrived back from spending a few days at Casa Vida Vaya and had a great time! The house is immaculate with all the mod-cons that you could need but the best part is the views. You can see the turquoise ocean stretching out before you from virtually any part of the house. The back garden and pool sit right in the middle of this beuatiful panorama. There's also plenty of other outside space with a roof terrace and a front garden. The house is situated in a quiet part of the island with a sculpture park almost next door. The island is tiny so getting "downtown" takes no time at all. If you're looking to spend some time really relaxing then I highly reccomend this place...Did you find this review helpful? My wife and I and two girls, age 2 & 6 just got back from our stay at Vaya Vida. What a truly stunning experience it was. The initial planning was effortless with Teresa and her very capable and friendly staff. They helped pre-arrange our taxi and ferry rides and had our golf cart and fridge stocked upon our arrival. The house is gorgeous and loaded with everything you need with large, nicely appointed rooms, flat screen TV's, AC's and fans in every room and a large kitchen. The family room is full of windows which overlooks the large back patio, pool and turquoise blue ocean. The view is something you have to see in person to really fully grasp. I have been to a number of islands with fantastic views and this was surely one of the best. To begin with, the house is positioned on the South end of the island which has the most elevation and I think is the best side to be on. The upper level palapa is the pace to be for the sunsets. You won't believe just how clear and beautiful an Isla Mujeres sunset is until you witness one from that vantage point. Vaya Vida is also just up the hill from Garrafon Park which boasts zip lines, snorkeling reef, large pool, kids play area, all you can eat buffet and open bar. If that's not enough you can take a very short jaunt to the very southern tip of the island with snorkeling gear in hand (they have quality gear at the house that you can use) and drop in at one of the most breath taking beach scenes you will ever set your eyes on. Then ride the current about 1/2 mile down to Punta Sur. You will witness giant star fish, sea anemones, and large and small exotic fish. All this with a wild, volcanic rock back drop where iguanas lounge around basking in the sun. There are not a lot of waves or strong current to worry about so even the most novice snorkeler would have an easy time. The pool was perfect for cooling off and the kids spent a great deal of time in it. The island is only 5 miles long so getting around in the 4 seater golf cart was a snap and fun to use. There is a great grocery store about 5 minutes away and Downtown takes a very scenic 10 minutes to get to. You will find loads of great restaurants with terrific seafood selections and tasty cocktails. The shopping is on the touristy side but there are a few hidden gems with one of kind art, jewelry and housewares. A holiday spent with my son and daughter in the best location you could wish for. Every thing you could want is in the villa,and it was so welcoming we felt at home at once. The onsite staff were always on hand to help with anything we needed. It was so peaceful and relaxing we did not want to leave, and would love to return for longer next time. Casa Vaya Vida is just the kind of of luxury villa you dream of finding in Mexico, with stunning vistas of the ocean, a private pool, rooftop palapa, a well-stocked kitchen and hammocks for lazy afternoons. The house is just steps away from Punta Sur, where the sun's rays first touch Mexican soil. Going from place to place is easy by golf cart--to town and the local beaches. But we would have been happy making margaritas just hanging out at the house, lounging by the pool.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

From the moment we booked this vacation we were in the best hands. We were given great instructions about what to bring, what to order for food and what the island has to offer. We flew in from Hong Kong and it was worth the trip. The house is spectacular and we felt right at home as soon as we walked in. The views are breathtaking and the house is in a great location. We were set up with a golf cart which the kids loved and everything is totally accessable. The beaches were great and the food was fantastic everywhere we went. What made it great for us was the level of service and support. From the moment we booked the tripto the moment we left we had great help from the owners and the staff. We look forward to returning to Casa Vaya Vida.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
