Villa Teatro is an extraordinarily tastefully and impeccably designed country house. The large stone farmhouse was built at the beginning of the 1800s. Recently the interior and exterior have been authentically restored - an excellently performed restoration!
The entire atmosphere is uncompromisingly authentic and the architectural style of Tuscany and the traditional workmanship of the region are reflected in the smallest details: ample rooms with immaculately white walls, handmade (!) terra-cotta tiles covering the entire floor. The brick roof rests on mighty oak beams. Elegant, silver-grayish Pietra-Serena stone frames the windows and doors made of cypress wood, which are provided with neat brass fittings in the antique style...
Villa Teatro is original, artistic and conveys an atmosphere of entire privacy. This magnificent country house belongs to an artist - a renowned director, actor, teacher of modern theatre, and painter. It can be rented by private groups or families now. The villa is secluded - 800 meters from the bituminised road - accessible only via a private driveway.
Its isolated and dominant location surrounded by four hectares of private ground guarantee tranquillity, privacy - and a panoramic view over the gently rolling hills. The beautiful garden has a number of benches where you can relax and enjoy the lovely surroundings, and an excellently situated large, elegant swimming pool with a shower in the small bamboo grove.
This place was designed with loving care. The owner of the house planned the renoon on his own with utmost care over years; with a sharp eye, he tastefully designed the interior with select objects and carefully chosen furnishings, resulting in a real masterpiece. State-of-the-art facilities are "hidden" behind an unpretentious, but utterly charming surface resembling monastery-like simplicity.
This simplicity is not accidental but the result of meticulous design deliberately limiting the furnishings to the essentials. The design was always determined by one leitmotif, namely to respect and retain the gracefulness and simplicity of the old farmhouse in harmony with its rural setting.
The planning proficiently took advantage of the natural incidence of light, which is even more important than the furnishings: the rooms overlook the valley and have been opened by round arches. The rays of sun produce a fascinating atmosphere and accentuate the plain interior. The furniture is sober and simple: only the necessary furnishings are there, but exclusively the most valuable.
The beautiful furniture from bygone days is unadorned and made of oak, and harmonizes with the antique stone, the terra-cotta floor and the warm shades of the roof beams, all creating a very nostalgic country atmosphere. Visitors can relax and enjoy the picturesque surrounding - the rooms are reminiscent of paintings.
