Location: Keystone Village, Plaza, Keystone, Northwest, Colorado, USA (70 Miles West of Denver)
Accommodations: Condominium, 1 Bedroom + Other (See Description), 2 Baths (Sleeps 5-6)
This gorgeous family or couple retreat is located in Keystone Resort in Summit County Colorado and is the only RockResort currently in this county. RockResorts are a select group of Resorts renowned for their natural beauty and amenities. Our family chose to purchase this unit after looking all over this county for the best view and best place for US to have fun. We are renting out this unit limited times for the first time.
It is our getaway as we live close to here, thus it is maintained with all the items a family could use. Be careful when you rent in Keystone as many places say they are slopeside and many are not (you have to walk and carry lots of gear for your kids which is very cumbersome) The way to go in all of these resorts are to utilize free bus service provided by Keystone Resort that actually drop you as CLOSE TO THE SLOPES as you can get.
The largest lot in Keystone for cars is full with locals very early and can be a long walk to the base. Please call me or email me if you want the real skinny on how things work, even if you don't rent from us. Keystone resort offers service to Keystone and Arapahoe Basin and covered parking which is extremely difficult to find in this county. In addition it has the only Olympic size heated outdoor pool in the county and the largest fully equipped gym and full service sauna.
There are a few outdoor fire pits on the premises and in addition during the Holidays the lobby/resort is decorated so beautifully with a wonderful working fully CHOCOLATE village in the middle of the resort. Ice sculptures abound and ice skating or walking in the cool crisp air is invigorating. Keystone is also the only ski/boarding area that offers night skiing.
Our unit is the only one bedroom unit with a fully closed off bedroom and it's own personal bathroom upstairs. Most units advertised for this price are very small. Ask about square footage before renting. Ours is 870 square feet as we have added onto upstairs, enclosed it from a loft to a private bedroom and put in a bath upstairs so you ladies (like myself) do not have to stumble down a long set of stairs in the night after a day on the slopes.
Our unit is a gorgeous end unit with unobstructed double story large windows overlooking the Snake River and Dillon Valley. The bedroom window offers stunning views of Keystone Lake and Loveland Pass and the runs of Keystone. It has brand new carpeting, ceiling fans in master and main area, new paint, and it amazingly cozy with fireplace and a large selection of movies/games/spices/kitchen utensils for your personal use.
We have even included items you will not find anywhere else like sleds for the kids to take right out the door and Video games system if you desire. This is truly a wonderful place to stay and we have tried to price it reasonable for folks to enjoy. Please email me if you would like more pictures or in general ask questions about the area. We are avid cyclists, skiers, and snowboarders and know a whole lot about this area in general.

Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2007
The Nordeck family owns this unit and we have three teenagers and are avid cyclists/skiers/hikers and snowboarders except for our daughter who only perks up if the word "mall" is mentioned. Oh by the way there are Factory Outlets stores close for those shoppers amongst you. My husband and I are 50 years old and about three years ago I (the wife) took up snowboarding after being a long time skier. We love Keystone and all of this area. We especially like Dillon Lake and both my husband and I are big time cyclists in the summer. My kids are Colorado Natives and my husband and I have lived here most of our lives. We hang out at the firepit in the winter and talk or relax in the hot tub and pool. It has been a wonderful place to hang our hat so to speak and spend time as a family
Why the Owner Chose Keystone Village, Plaza
We picked Summit County over any other place in Colorado because of it's unique mix of cycling places and ski/boarding areas. Summit County has six ski/boarding areas in small radius in addition to Factory Outlet stores and a variety of local (affordable) as well upper end restaurants. The area is home to Lake Dillon which is massive and has boat rentals and bike trails galore. There is also a few very historical towns nearby such as Leadville (a very old mining town and highest city in the US) which architecture and antique shops and overall history fascinate us. There are things here not many folks think about like a library, natural caves, excellent hiking and skate parks for skateboarders.
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
I love this unit as it is an end unit and views of the Snake River and natural wetlands are phenomenal. From the unit you can look down the Snake River to Dillon Valley and at night they is so little noise you can hear the river raging. Wildflowers in the summer are everywhere but my family are snowbabies and love to play in the snow. I find it to be so relaxing up there. Listening to music, playing games with my family, going to the hot tub and the pool. We hang out at the firepit in the winter and talk or relax in the hot tub and pool. It has been a wonderful place to hang our hat so to speak and spend time as a family or a romantic getaway for the two of us.
