WELCOME TO MY LAKEFRONT DREAM HOME
As it's name implies, the Lodge provides a unique, luxuriously rustic, private resort experience. Located literally feet from Lac forget, and providing a breathtaking view of Mont Tremblant, it provides the perfect setting to enjoy all that Canada's four seasons have to offer. The story of the Lodge is one of true pioneering spirit. It was built entirely by the owner over a period of years. Whenever possible indigenous materials were used, and every aspect of design and hand crafted detail were chosen be in keeping with the Lodge's natural surroundings. Only when seen, can the many fine details of workmanship be fully comprehended. This was not just another building project, but a labor of love.
The LAKEFRONT location is cherished not only because of it's proximity to Mont Tremblant, but because Lac Forget is a quiet, clean lake. Only electric motors are allowed on this lake, allowing the perfect setting for lounging on the dock, canoeing, kayaking, swimming for fun or swim training.

MASTER BEDROOM AND BATH HIGHLIGHTS
The master bedroom boasts a QUEEN SIZE HAND MADE BIRCH BARK BED, and 2 chaise lounges, all with luxurious linens and pillows. The in bedroom CAST IRON BATH TUB allows you to gaze out the lakefront window or simply bask in the glow of the WOOD BURNING FIREPLACE. The en-suite powder room and walk in closet provide the finishing touches for this bedroom oasis.

BEDROOM HIGHLIGHTS (All Bedrooms appointed with fine mattresses, pillows, fabrics and linens)
The MAIN FLOOR BEDROOM offers 2 ANTIQUE WROUGHT IRON 3/4 SIZE BEDS. It is referred to as THE BOAT ROOM due to the authentic fishing dory which was incorporated into one of it's walls during the building process. This feature is typical of the many interesting and whimsical details that you'll find throughout.
The GUEST ROOM offers you a QUEEN SIZE WROUGHT IRON BED with night tables, cow hide lamps, and an antique armoire. The TARTAN AND HUDSON'S BAY fabrics and linens add that rustic decadence which is synonymous with The Lodge.
The BUNK ROOM with it's 4 DOUBLE BED BUNKS appeals to guests of all ages. The 20 inch LCD TV juxtaposes with the timelessness of the wood, logs and ladders of the 3 storied bunks.
The 3rd FLOOR LOFT hosts a DOUBLE BED nestled on a LOG PLATFORM WITH LOG NIGHT STANDS. The colorful linens and rustic light fixtures complete the ambience that makes this hideaway so popular. You may find yourself slipping into the loft with a favorite book, or just for a nap.

KITCHEN HIGHLIGHTS
The open gourmet kitchen has STATE OF THE ART APPLIANCES including a 22 cf side by side refrigerator with filtered water and ice maker, an ultra quiet dishwasher, centre island with Wolf gas cook top, prep. sink and pot filling faucet, built in LG wall oven and warming drawer, a 2nd built in convection/microwave oven, and all the utensils needed to prepare feasts for family and friends. Why the Owner Chose Mont Tremblant

We chose this location because we wanted to be on the water, in a natural and clean environment and yet be close to grocery stores, restaurants, shops, activities, and a major resort. The Mont Tremblant resort area provides many cultural events and festivals in addition to the skiing and outdoor activities. We enjoy all types of outdoor sports and activities all year round, and want to promote a healthy and fit lifestyle to our children. Skiing and swimming, hiking and parks are minutes away. We also wanted to be able to do family outings just a bit farther afield without spending hours in the car. From this location we are able to do many day trips, from beaches to Santa's village, spending 30 minutes or less driving to get there. Music, dance and visual arts are in abundance. The French culture here offers a wonderful, vivacious flare to the area, and yet allows those who don't speak french to participate and enjoy to the fullest. We just love it here!

The Unique Benefits at this Lodge

We enjoy most, all the aspects of being nestled on the shore of Lac Forget. Theer is something peaceful and magical about being on the water. The view from our front windows of Mont Tremblant rising above the lake is stunning is all seasons. In summer, we enjoy swimming, canoeing, kayaking, lounging on the deck, fishing, and roasting marshmallows around the firepit. In winter we enjoy skating on our private rink on the lake, snowshoeing across the lake in the sunshine, ice fishing, snow forts, snow ball fights, snow men and warming up in the outdoor hot tub with it's spectacular lakefront view. Although so close to skiing, shops, activities and restaurants; there are many days when we never leave The Lodge. It's our little piece of paradise.

Owner's Map of Mont Tremblant

The real story behind the Lodge is it's owner Tom Stevens. Tom built the Lodge, single handedly, from the ground up. Over a period of years he painstakingly attended to every detail, from the exterior through the interior to many of the hand crafted furniture pieces. It is hard for most people to grasp what we mean when we say that Tom built everything, so let me give you an idea. Tom built and sided the exterior, laid the roof using chain block and tackle, milled the wood for, laid and sanded the floors. He custom made the kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, laid all the tiles throughout, laid the slate flooring, and tiled the slate shower, he milled the wood for and built all the interior doors, did masonry, laid the decking, built the stairways, bunks, kitchen and dining tables, the oak barrel coffee tables, hand made the birch bark bed, reconditioned/refinished the antique wrought iron beds, built the tree house, the centre island, the log bed and log coffee table and on and on we go....

Close to everything but you feel like your miles away from it all. Very easy to find. Hard to believe that it was built by ONE guy. Every detail looked after! Clean inside and out. This is our third time staying here the first was in the winter. It is a tough call which one was nicer. In the winter we skated on the lake, x-country skied nearby, enjoyed the amazing fireplace, and enjoyed the hot tub while the snow was falling. At our summer stay the lake was our playground. We swam to the jumping rock nearby as well as paddled the lake, the kids kept busy in the treehouse and large sandbox, we roasted marshmallows and hot dogs at the bonfire at night. Very memorable can't wait for our next stay.

What a superb place....from the lakeside setting to the huge fireplace and chandelier; spa facilities to dining areas; comfy beds and linens to the luxurious kitchen, we didn't want to go home. Highly recommended....and if you happen to meet Tom, you are in for a tour and a treat!
