Thanks you from my entire family Walt. We had a lovely stay at your place: it had absolutely everything we needed or wanted, and we used your restaurant recommendations and other information you provided extensively. We could not have been more comfortable and happy. The kids made friends at the pool, and we especially enjoyed Makena beach just down the road where the kids made extensive use of your bogey boards, umbrellas, chairs, snorkel gear. We did picnics most days and you made it so easy. I would be remiss if I did not mention to others reading this just how gracious, professional and helpful you were when my family (ok, me) left some of your gear behind when we went up to Kaanapoli on a day trip. You can never never be totally sure about the quality of the person on the other side of the deal until something goes wrong, and you came through for us with flying colours!! You can be certain we'll be back (if you'll have us!!) Best....Joe

This was our second trip to Maui and our second time staying at Walt and Carol's condo. Our stay was just as wonderful this time as the last! Everything you could ever need is in this fully equipped residence. From maps, books, equipment for entertainment indoors and out, it is all here. Kitchen is fully equipped for all of your culinary needs. Beautifully maintained and manicured grounds and the tropical pool is a favorite spot for the afternoons. Mahalo Walt and Carol!!

The Celebration Trip

We were so lucky to have found Walt & Carol's fantastic condo for our Family Vacation. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, our son's graduation from college, our younger son's 18th birthday, and my 50th birthday. This condo had everything we could have asked for! The dining room table had really comfortable chairs, the big screen TV was awesome, the beds were really comfortable, and my husband "the cook" was glad to see the BBQ so close to the unit. Although we barely used the A/C, it was nice to have an A/C unit in each bedroom as well as one in the dining/living room area. The full sized washer & dryer made keeping up with laundry a breeze. Lots of "nice" dishes, glasses, silverware, utensils, pots & pans, bowels, and wine glasses. Everything you needed for cooking was there! I would highly recommend this unit to anyone, and when I go back to Maui I would love to stay in this unit again. Walt & Carol - thanks for your contribution to our spectacular vacation.

Thank you Walt and Carol for letting us stay in your beautiful hawaiian home! We had a wonderful vacation and could not have stayed in a more comfortable condominium than yours. There was everything we possible could need and also so many helpful books and good advice which made it easy to get around the island. Everything was very clean, luxurious and well-maintained. We loved having breakfast on the lanai and never used the diningtable! Our favourite beaches were Maluaka and Ulua for their great snorkling and Kamaole 3 for boogieboarding. Kihei is a really nice area with plenty of good restaurants and service just around the corner. We also can recommend a boattrip to Molokini for great snorkling! Thank you again and Mahalo!

Great Maui Experience

Our family just returned from our first trip to Maui. This was also our first time using VRBO and it turned out to be a great decision. Walt and Carol take great care in providing their guests with a great deal of information on activities around Maui. The condo is also in great shape and is very spacious with all of the necessary supplies for preparing and serving meals. Walt and Carol even checked in on our second night to make sure we had everything we needed. We had a great time snorkeling, visiting the Surfing Goat Dairy, ziplining, and sightseeing on the Road to Hana. I would definitely recommend this Kihei location to families traveling to Maui. Thanks Walt and Carol!

This F- 207 condo at Maui Kamaole is superb! It is new and clean and every detail has been thought of. The outdoor lanai has an ocean view, great for relaxing after a nice swim with the turtles. Yes Turtles! We went snorkeling right out in front of the condo near the yoga trail . We saw 5 turtles at about 2:30-3 pm, just before the wind picked up. Lots of coral and fish too! No need to drive super far for great snorkeling and beaches ...just walk right down! Also, the best Stand Up Paddle surfing is down at Kalama Beach Park ...a short 5 minute drive from the condo. Rentals across the street. Get there by 8 or 9 ( 7am they open) . This condo has all the equipment you could need, many snorkel sets, beach gear, games etc. We also noticed a brand new washer dryer great for lots of beach towel loads, great kitchen and big screen TV with tons of movies on the playstation. There's Tennis , a gorgeous Tropical Pool , and lush tropical grounds. Its sunny most days and a terrific location in Kihei, with lots of great shops and restaurants super close by. We love it here and will come back to F 207 again! No complaints....We LOVED it!!!

This condo was wonderful. The location was ideal...close to town, beaches and dining...not very far from the airport or other interesting towns and sights. The sunsets were beautiful from the deck and we were awakened every morning by tropical birds singing. The condo was well furnished, elegantly decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes, pans, utensils and basic cooking supplies. We loved the tropical pool, which was never too crowded and was close to all the condos. The location was quiet and private. We have never had such a relaxing stay in the islands before!

We were very happy with our recent stay at this beautiful Maui Kamaole condo. The unit was large and very well maintained with quality furnishings as well as a wide variety of recreational equipment available for our use. The website photos accurately reflected what we found in the unit as well as the views from the lanai. The owners were very helpful in providing suggestions for activities we might (or might not) enjoy during our stay. They even phoned us after a couple of nights to see if we had any questions or problems. I would definitely recommend this property and am hopeful that we will be able to return to it soon ourselves.

This beautifully decorated condo was clean, had comfortable beds, everything you need in the kitchen, etc. -- and it felt like home. It was exactly like the pictures and written description. We loved the South Kihei area and the beautiful grounds of Maui Kamaole. My son, daughter-in-law, and grandkids (ages 13 & 15) stayed with me the first week. They left, and the 2nd week my two sisters and brother-in-law joined me in the condo. Everyone loved the condo. Walt and Carol know the meaning of customer service and are a pleasure to work with. I'd love to return.

We had a wonderful wedding at the Wailea Gold and Emerald golf course with an amazing reception to follow at Gannon's. We are so thankful that we had such a beautiful home to come to. Thank you for the fabulous 38th birthday week with the girls. We snorkeled, took the road to Hana and got up at 3am one morning to see the sunrise at Haleakala Volcano! Wow! It's so worth it! But take warm clothes. It was 47* at 10,000 feet. And pitch black when we arrived at 5:45 am. Plan for 2 hours to get there. We had so much fun and we are all so grateful for being able to stay at Maui Kamaole F207. Home away from home!

Here we are at the end of a wonderful two weeks in paradise. Thank you, Walt and Carol, for sharing your home with us. You have thought of everything, we especially enjoyed the books on fish and birds of Hawaii. We spent many lovely mornings on the lanai enjoying our coffee and breakfast. We also loved the tropical pool. Our favorite activities have been snorkeling, ziplining and surfing. The road to Hana wasn't really our thing although it was really pretty. We look forward to returning to Maui. Thanks again for everything. After this we will never want to stay in a hotel again!

We had the most wonderful Maui vacation. Your condo was perfect. Everything we needed was there and was of high quality. We loved the tropical pool and having coffee on the large lanai every morning. The condo is beautiful, very comfortable and was well set up for our family. It had everything we needed at our fingertips (boards, mask etc) we felt like home. We enjoyed the sunsets on the terrace, the beaches close by with beautiful corals and the tennis just a few step from the condo. Thanks for everything

The kids and I had a lot of fun on our trip here. On this trip the kids loved doing a sunset cruise, the Polynesian Village Luau (geared more to children), the Iao State Park and doing bumper boats that had water guns & extreme trampoline @ the miniature golf place. The Ocean center was a hit as well! We went nightly to the pool. Thank you so much for the lovely condo and allowing us to stay in paradise. the memories will last a lifetime. Aloha & Mahalo

One perfect day after another! Your condo was very comfortableand well set up for a family. The condo was very private with beautiful views. We are so sad to leave but know that we will be back. My husband and I were in Maui for our honeymoon 11 years ago. We finally made it back and wonder what took us so long. This was a very relaxing holiday and a nice change from the busy holidays at Disney. My usband and I enjoyed ziplining with Flyin Hawaiian. The kids enjoyed the pool and a TV in theeir room. Mahalo for providing such a perfect launch pad for all of our adventures. The condo is beautiful & had everything we needed at our fingertips. Your comprehensive list of beaches & snorkeling spots was invaluable - especially appreciated your list of things to do with the little ones as we were traveling with Gavin (19 months old). Makena Beach was amazing. Beautiful corals, tons of turtles, an eel, & slipper lobsters. Aquarium was great and Gavin loved the shark feeding. Our favorite restaurant by far was Momma's, although E'O in Lahina close to our favorite too. Thanks for everything. Can't wait to return.

We had a wonderful two weeks in your beautiful condo. Friends were also staying in the Maui Kamaole, but our unit was much much nicer! The kids loved boogie boarding at the beaches and I loved the easy access to snorkeling. The Kakalele blowhole just past the 38 mile marker was a highlight. It was shooting at least 70 feet!! The only disappointing thing - we see you are already booked during our holiday break for next year. We will be back. Mahalo - Thanks so much.

Wow! What a wonderful time we had! This is our fourth time at Maui Kamaole & by far this is the best! We off to Kaanapali tomorrow and we know it won't be as nice. Can't wait to return next year. We found a new beach this year Maluaka (Makena) fabulous. Saw a turtle & so many beautiful fish! Got a parking ticket but still loved it! Thanks so much for letting us stay! Love it!!!

Forrest & dive buddy Ron enjoyed all three dives with Ed Robinson. Ronnie and I enjoyed our days in the sun by the pool and on the lanai. Thank you for your well stocked condo. We have been to Maui many many times but this condo is definitely the best! The location at the far south end of practical Kihei but seconds from the stupendous beaches of Wailea is perfect. You have been so thoughtful providing every possible ocean fun sporting accessory - in multiples! The chic island decor adds beauty to the whole package. Thank you ... well be back soon.

Where do I begin? Walt & Carol, you have gone over and above to make a beautiful home for your guests, We needed for nothing and everything is attractive & comfortable. A taste of Wailea right here in Kihei!! Wonderful times here, the Flyin Hawaiian Zipline is top notch as is the Old Lahina luau, not cheesy like others and the food was amazing. Blue Water rafting was awesome and we had wonderful luck the day we went out, seeing whales breaching, dolphins (even a baby!), turtles, and the snorkeling was great. We will definitely be back. Everything you could ask for and more. Just returned from a 19 day vacation at Walt and Carol's piece of paradise in Kihei. I hate to write this wonderful review because that means that i will probably never get a chance to book this lovely condo again if i rave about it too much. I just cannot say enough about how wonderful this condo is, luxurious, well equipped and tastefully decorated. Close to wonderful beaches. We cannot wait to return!!!

Our Second Stay

This was our second stay in this unit, our first was in Jan 2010. The unit is extremely well appointed and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed, furniture & beds were comfortable and the entertainment and beach gear provided by the owners was more than we expected. The information, descriptions and information provided are accurate and most of the "start up" supplies provided by the owner lasted us a full week. The condo complex was quiet, we left the doors and windows open to enjoy the breezes and were never bothered by noise. We ate most of our meals on the main lanai, from which we also enjoyed many beautiful sunsets. The Owners are extremely helpful and have gone out of their way to make sure our stay was truely a great experience. Location is close to both Kihei and Wailea and great beaches.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We have had the most amazing two weeks in hawaii. Today is our last day here and the first day of rain! The magic show was fanatstic (Warren & Annebelles). We celebrated our five year anniversary at the Waterfront Restaurant which was wonderful. We drove around the entire island and basically hit every snorkeling beach on the south side. "Snorkel Maui book is great.", and soaking up the sun! Loved every minute here!!!

Great place. Loved the birds and flowers. Great tour to Molokini and beyond on Blue Water rafting on a poontoon boat. Boat dock across the street was awesome! Snorkeling and turtles awesome. Moma's Seafood House - fantastic. Going to explore the Road to Hana today. Don't miss that while you are here. Only regret - we didn't stay longer!

We had a wonderful week in Kihei at unit F207. The description and comments were bang on but don't give it justice till you experience it. Walt was very attentive and helpful in making sure we enjoyed our stay with informing all we need to know about the condo and the facility to suggested places to eat, activities and sites to see. The boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs and the list goes were truly appreciated even more so after our 2nd week staying in West Maui at a unit with no toys and gear. Another appreciated asset is the AC in July. We would definately consider returning to the unit in our next stay.

The lanai, with its ocean view was the perfect location for both breakfast and dinner; the automatically retractable awning kept us in the shade. Furnishings were far above what one would expect in a rental; the kitchen contained everything we needed. Maui Kamaole resort provides two swimming pools and numerous gas barbecues, one of which is right next to the unit. The access to the owner's snorkeling and water sports equipments was a great added bonus -- no need to bring along or rent fins, masks, etc. Kihei is a great location. It's close to great beaches and snorkeling, hasn't got the endless traffic of Lahaina, and only gets 10" of rain a year. This is definitely a property to return to again and again.

What an awesome place. We had everything we could posssibly need or want in the condo including a full closet of "toys" for the beach. The kitchen was great, we loved having breakfast on the lani evey morning. Can't wait to go back!! Thank You

This condo is perfectly placed between the provisioning headquarters of Kihei with its casual restaurants and shopping and the elegant resorts of Wailea and its wonderful beaches and top knotch entertaining and dining. The unit has been newly furnished with an Asian Chic decor that enhances the lush tropical landscaping at the property, exquisitely maintained. The beds are high quality and the unit was immaculate. For ocean lovers, this condo well save you money as everything you need for a day at the beach, including snorkeling, is provided in various sizes. Beach chairs, umbrella and towels complete the kit. There must be 20 fabulous beaches within a 45 minute driving distance. All provide public parking, even when they are in front of a luxury resort (Hawaiian law-all beaches are public). The sizy kitchen is fully equipped and there is a large dining table on the lanai that will easily seat 8. The two pool areas are perfect. A smaller tropical pool surrounded by plants and a larger lap-swim pool give two different experiences. This condo provides excellent value for adults or families as it is luxurious but also practically provisioned for the independent traveler. Highly recommended by a soon to be returning renter.

Lauren:Thank you so much for an awesome time. The boogie boards, pail/shovel, coolers, beach chairs, and snorkeling sets gave us tons of time at the beach. My brother got addicted to tennis so the racquets really came in handy. I'm very greatful that you supplied all the stuff for our own usage. When we move on to Wailea we probably won't be able to boogey board and play tennis. Thank You Kyra: We had a good time staying at the condo. It was a nice place.We enjoyed using the beach chairs, umbrella, and boogie boards. The beds were really really comfy. It was very hot here. The rooms were very nice. We enjoyed our stay in Hawaii. We really enjoyed our stay in F207. It is in a great location, close to both pools and tennis courts. Your description of the condo is very accurate. The beds are extremely comfortable and the condo provided us with all the amenities we needed. There was even a closet full of beach items, for example, beach chairs, beach umbrella, boogie boards, etc. This condo is in a great location in Kihei, great place to go for walks in the morning, close to all the best beaches and minutes away from Wailea. F207 is exactly as described on the VRBO site, but that still doesn't do it justice. The place is immaculate, and the complex is very quite and well laid out. We couldn't have been happier and will definitely go back. The owner was very responsive to all questions, and provided more than enough information about the area to help us enjoy our trip. They take ownership in you enjoying your vacation!

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Both our family's had a wonderful time staying in your beautiful house. We went to Tommy Bahamma's and the food was great. We especially enjoyed the snorkeling trip to Molokini. Thank you again for letting us stay in your lovely condo. Delaney Age 6: I had fun in Hi. It was hot. I had to waer my hat. We went on the airplane. Megan Age 6: I had a great time in the condo, We went to Molokini and saw black and white fish that could bite. Ouch! Also had a great last nice dinner at Tommy Bahammas. Thanks for the great time!

It is appointed beautifully and comfortably, even down to the smallest details. (The beds, pillows and linens were heavenly, and even the kitchen knives were top-notch.) We loved our stay in this condo and would absolutely stay here again. The only thing we think this condo needs to attain utter perfection would be to plunk it right on the beach. But that may be asking a bit much.

The moment we walked in the door, we felt welcome and fortunate. The condo is just lovely and very well appointed. It's perfectly located, both in Kihei and within the complex. Neighbors were quiet and respectful. It's thoughtfully, tastefully furnished and very comfortable. The facilites of the complex were absolutely perfect for us. The beds are comfortable, the equipment closet has more than you can imagine and the kitchen is very well stocked (I loved the fresh-grind, pink sea salt for my margaritas!!) The hosts of the condo are positively doting; it's obvious they want you to enjoy their paradise home as much as they do. We were quite sad to leave.

Kayak Snorkel Tour w/ Maui Eco Adventures - perfect, We ate at da Kitchen 3 times. Maui Taco's for snacks and Sansei twice - amazing.
