Welcome to the Hideout! A perfect all-around vacation getaway. True historic home centrally located between South Haven and Saugatuck. Part of the Glenn Haven Shores Association which offers access to tennis courts and Lake Michigan's sugar sand beaches. Nestled on five acres you will find this one of a kind property featuring four bedrooms in the main house, large indoor pool surrounded by skylights and French doors. Newly remodeled main house boasts a new kitchen with stainless steel appliances, new beds and new bathrooms. Attached guest house offers four more bedrooms, additional kitchen and living area. This house is bubbling with character and charm.
Local lore has it that Bugsy Moran's mistress lived in the Hideout during the years that he worked with the Chicago mob, and that he used the back buildings to store liquor during prohibition. Enjoy the sounds of the country from the sunroom or roast marshmallows on the patio's stone fire pit. Only a six minute walk to the Lake Michigan coastline and wonderful memories!

My husband surprised me and rented this house for my 30th birthday with all my friends and family! We had an AMAZING time. We had 18 adults and 7 kids and never felt cramped. The house is so Clean and Comfortable. We felt right at home! We spent all of our time around or in the pool with the kids! We were laughing because the kids were floating in the pool watching their Sunday cartoons. It was so cute. So thank you to the owners for making it so comfortable and easy to rent!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We rented the Hideout for a weekend family reunion in the fall. It is a beautiful home, very spacious, decorated lovely, lots of conveninces, and has a very nice indoor pool. It is close to the town of South Haven where there are lots of cute little shops. The owners/manager was very accomadating and went out of her way to make sure our stay was a good one. You will feel right at home here and there is plenty of room and entertaining space.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We had a reunion of brothers and sisters totally 15 people and the house was a perfect setting for us. Plenty of bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen, actually 2 kitchens, made everything work smoothly. The pool was terrific and the outdoor seating area with lots of chairs and huge tables worked great for our group. We enjoyed walking to the beach each day and went to Saugatuck and South Haven as well, it's the perfect location. We all had a great time and we highly recommend it.
