We'll Be Back

This house was perfect for our needs: all on one floor (my husband hates stairs); everything in it seems new, including the moulding and doors; comfortable seating; a good sized and well organized kitchen; plenty of hangers; and a deck that just begged us to stay outside and watch the bluejays, squirrels and chipmunks. I even saw the first real-life woodpecker I've ever seen! The backyard is sizeable and good for children to play in. It's about a 20 minute walk to the arena at the end of Main Street, if you're out walking for exercise, 25 if you're not. That's close enough that we didn't need an extra car so that my husband could go off fishing for a few hours without leaving me stranded. The owner was fast to respond to our inquiry as well as very helpful and attentive. There is a handyman on call whom we never needed, but the fact that he was there made us feel that the owner really cared about our experience. Place was impeccably clean and well-tended, and the listing is accurate in all respects. Definitely a place we'll want to return to!

The house had everything we needed to stay and the location is central to all Olympic venues. The house really has a country decor and all amenities are new. The owner responded to all our needs and walkways and outside landscape was well maintained.

Quiet, relaxing holiday

The house is located on a quiet street, away from the town and is a great place to relax. We were made to feel very welcome with a 'welcome basket' of goodies. The house had all the facilities we needed and even the deer made an appearance in the back garden. Thanks for a great holiday. For anyone visiting the Adirondacks for the first time, Lake Placid is the ideal base.
