Map & Owner's Profile
Loreto Bay Baja: Golf, Kayak, Snorkel, Swim, Missions, Quiet
Year Purchased: 2008
Why the Owner Chose Loreto
We bought this great home because it is part of a sustainable community which values the environment and respects the natural resources. Our home is new, adobe in style, and has all of the amenities you could ask for. We love the beaches, kayaking, fishing, whaling, hiking, mountain biking, golfing, and the culture of this wonderful authentic Mexican town of Loreto. The area has magnificent natural beauty and minimal development. It is extremely safe and very friendly.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We love walking or running along the golf course paths early in the morning to bird watch, and to see the sun rise over the Sea of Cortez. We also love kayaking in the unique mangrove estuary that's adjacent to Loreto Bay.
Owner's Map of Loreto
We are two couples living in Bend, Oregon. We love the outdoors and wanted a warm get-away with great outdoor activities at our doorstep. We know a great woman in Loreto who can set you up on kayak trips and mule trips to see ancient cave paintings. There is great wild fishing outside out doorstep in the Sea of Cortez, islands near by with pristine white sand beaches, and great cultural activities like visiting ancient missions in the mountains or right in the center of downtown Loreto. The people in Loreto are incredibly friendly and it is a very safe place to visit and wonder around. The food is great in town, or, buy or catch some fish from a local and grill it yourself on our outdoor gas grill on the second floor of our home. It's amazingly beautiful there and you will love all of the amenities of our home. It's the perfect get away- super quiet and lots to do if you aren't into total relaxation!

My wife, myself and another couple just returned from 5 nights in Loreto and it was far too short. Definitely returning next year for longer. The Villa is excellent and very private for both couples. The owners were vey nice nad helpful. The view of the Sea of Cortez and the mountains are spectacular both at sunrise and sunset. The villa's location is also great...close to the shops, the golf course and the pools. The golf course has a few rough spots but they are making an effort to improve and it is an excellent value and very scenic course. Check out the monthly membership rate for an unbelievable deal even if you only play 7-8 rounds. Plus it is very walkable. Great neighborhood for running or walking. Friendly and inviting. Town of Loreto is also a treat. Great restaurants and pricing. Also suggest a boat trip to Coronado Island. We can't wait to return!!!!!

This is a dream retreat for a family of 4 or a couple. The self-contained unit is stunning, immaculate, and the owners were responsive and easy to work with. The three levels gave us privacy and allowed our teenage daughters to have space--yet we all loved the communal spaces. The views are amazing, and given an intentionally dense community, this unit offers plenty of privacy. The linens are gorgeous and we appreciated the coziness of home without feeling that we were invading someone else's private residence. The pools and the beach are an easy walk away. Don't be deterred by the minor walks. This community is planned for walking, and walks are short and lovely: a series of narrow paved walkways and courtyards. Loreto is a great community. We had no worries about security, and enjoyed walking the town and eating out: especially Super Burro, a local family eatery open late. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this rental to a friend, and we look forward to returning ourselves.

Loreto Bay Casa Beliza

We stayed at Casa Beliza in April 2011. Everything about this property is top quality and ready for a very comfortable vacation. We are from Idaho and met with my brother and partner who live in Mexico. They were equally impressed and are ready to come back. The casa is surrounded by stucco walls with landscaping on the outside and inside in the open terrace. The exterior door opens into the open courtyard with entrance into the main floor and stairs leading to the upper bedroom. There are two master bedrooms with bright shower and bathroom areas. The ground floor bedroom open onto the back courtyard with flowers and trees. The upper bedroom leads to a covered patio on the second level with table, chairs, lounge chairs and grill. Then go up another stairs to the covered portico. We migrated from patio to portico as the sun and shade moved and enjoyed different views. The top portico has views toward the bay and also toward the mountains. The kitchen and dining area are fully equipped to fix your own meals and fix cocktails. We could access two swimming pools and the hotel facilities a short walk from the casa. Guests can also use the kayaks, so easy to get the view from the bay. Also Wifi available - a big help since our cell phones didn't work. Overall, a great place and highly recommended.

Lovely house and development. Wonderful pool nearby; beach close for walking. Very nice, well equipped house with viewing decks for afternoon cocktails and more. We felt very safe and secure here. Lots of nice restaurants and waterfront walking in small town of Loreto nearby. Highly recommend.
