Our lovely home, Goldilocks Cabin, was built in 2007 and has been gently rented since 2008. With 4 bedrooms and two and 1/2 baths, it is spacious, well-appointed and beautifully decorated throughout in upscale 'Tahoe' style. The huge kitchen has modern stainless appliances and an island perfect for entertaining large groups. The living room features a flat screen HD LCD TV with cable and free Showtime, HBO and Cinemax, DVD and VCR with shelves full of movies, a Sony stereo that is iPod compatible, and comfy furniture to sink into after a day on the lake or slopes. There is a beautiful glass-enclosed fireplace viewable from the kitchen, dining and living rooms. Nine foot ceilings and numerous windows complete the luxurious feel of our home.
The master suite includes fabulous furnishings, an HDTV & DVD player, walk-in closet, and spacious private master bath with a romantic two person soaking tub and shower as well as dual vanity. One of the two cozy queen bedrooms also has a TV. The fourth bedroom is a perfect room for children or adults that features sturdy log-style twin bunks and an extremely comfortable double bed.
The front porch is a wonderful place to sit in a rocker and enjoy the neighborhood and a view of the face of Heavenly. The private backyard is perfect for a summer barbecue or year-round hot tub fun. The Al Tahoe area is user-friendly every season of the year.
This 'cabin' is 4 very short blocks from the lake, and just 2.5 miles from the casinos and the world-class Heavenly Ski Resort. Another ski resort, Sierra-at-Tahoe, is a quick 20 minute drive. Goldilocks Cabin is located between two of South Lake Tahoe's most popular beaches: Regan Beach and the newly renovated Lakeview Commons at El Dorado Beach. There is a boat ramp adjacent to El Dorado Beach. A wide array of shops and restaurants and so much more is within walking distance. My family of four decided to make the trek up to Tahoe last weekend, and we are so glad we did! Goldilocks Cabin was perfect. Being in the backyard hot tub while it was snowing outside was certainly a priceless experience. Also, this cabin was close to Heavenly and the casinos - both of which we enjoyed during our stay. The kitchen here is big with new appliances, and we were able to cook most of our meals. The cabin binder also has lots of restaurant recommendations and menus, and we would recommend checking out Steamers and Sprouts if you are looking for a good local establishment. Thank you Goldilocks!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.

I wouldn't recommend it only because one of the owners is a bit hard to deal with. I felt like she was looking for a way to deduct the deposit somehow rather than being reasonable about it. I would not rent from her again. On a positive side - the cabin was good, and the location was good too.Owner response: All vacation rental owners require security deposits to ensure that guests act responsibly. Instead of using the 40+ foot paved driveway, this guest chose to park on the landscaped lawn, leaving multiple tire tracks and a bent sprinkler head. They left a glowing written review of our home in the cabin guest book, but apparently changed their opinion after losing just 10% of their $500 deposit (about 1/2 the actual cost of the damage). It is our hope that our guests will treat Goldilocks Cabin as if it were their own.

My extended family of 9 just spent 7 fun nights at Goldilocks Cabin. The owner was very helpful suggesting an incredible local sushi place that our family just loved (The Naked Fish) and other great information. The house was very comfortable and super well equipped. Terrific location if you want to avoid traffic, spend a day at the beach or visit the casinos or numerous nearby restaurants. Compared to many other vacation properties we've rented in the past, this house is far superior--immaculate, too. Hope to return with friends this winter and take on nearby Heavenly!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children.

Our group of 8 recently enjoyed 6 nights at your beautiful home. Goldilocks Cabin is so perfectly located--we walked down to the lake to view the July 4th fireworks, avoiding all of the traffic. About the owner: We purchased this wonderful home because of it's incredible location and superior amenities. After years of renting other vacation homes in the neighborhood, we knew we had found the perfect home to enjoy with our families and friends. Al Tahoe, a historically prominent neighborhood in South Lake Tahoe, offers year round activities with beautiful mountain and lake views. In addition to the fantastic skiing and gorgeous walks by the lake, we especially enjoy the public tennis courts and golf course located just a quick 2 minutes away.
