We stayed here for 11 days and couldn't be happier. Firstly, the location is wonderful.. You're in a secure gated community situated steps from a picture-perfect beach. The beach itself is extremely private; you can walk for hours in either direction and see almost nobody. But you are not so isolated you feel unsafe. Swimming is safe with very small waves and no undertow I could detect. If you want to get into town, you're an easy 10-minute drive away. But why go into town, when you can walk a few minutes to the east and eat at Banana Bay? We sat on the deck there having drinks almost every day. We initially thought we'd spend more time in town or on tours but decided not to because the place we were staying was just that nice. The house has everything you could need, from many cooking implements to cable and internet. The layout would be great if you were traveling with several friends or children. I'm very picky and didn't think of one thing throughout the entire visit that was lacking. The house was quite clean and well-appointed. What you see in the pictures is what you get when you arrive. I honestly cannot imagine why anyone would want to stay in a hotel when you could stay here. I've traveled a fair amount and rented other homes in Costa Rica and the USA, and this has been the first that truly exceeded my expectations in pretty much every way.

Perfect Escape

We stayed at this beautiful home for 10 days. The whole area around the gated community is safe and quiet. We traveled with our two year old son and my mother. The layout of the three bedrooms is great, nicely spaced out such that everyone has their own privacy. Kitchen has everything including bottled water which was a nice surprise. The whole back of the house are windows which look straight out at the water. One thing I was thrilled about is that the huge back deck is completely contained and kid-friendly. I had concerns about being right on the water with a toddler, but it is so safe. The deck alone is worth the trip! The yard is great too- perfect for working out in the morning or evening. Also great for playing. House has everything. Location is great on one of the best beaches on Grand Bahama, Fortune Beach. Just a 5 minute walk to the left down the beach is a great restaurant/bar. Location of house is just about 10 minutes east of Lucaya where there are markets, shops and restaurants. Grocery store is about 10 minutes away has everything you need. Very similar to US grocery stores. Can't go wrong. This is the most relaxing place to stay. Great for all generations. Bruce is great to work with and Andrew goes out of his way to ensure you have everything you need during your stay. Definitely going back.

Didn't want to leave

Bruce, We have traveled to a number of different Islands including St. Croix, Hawaii and Punta Cana, as well as to Mexico and although we enjoyed all of these "Holidays" we never have had the feeling that we wanted to extend our stay........until Grand Bahama and Paradise. The obvious reason was your home and the location. We can not think of anything that we wanted or could have asked for that wasn't there. Clean linens, soaps, beach towels, paper towels, tissues, washer, dryer, ice maker and a water cooler.......everything was there. The three bedroom/ three private bath floor plan is ideal for a family or two or three couples; the large covered deck is the place to be when you have had enough sun; and the upscale gas grill, which we frequently used, located on the deck is ideal for cooking your meals when you want to eat at home and enjoy the view of the beach and ocean. We loved the convenience of being located right on the "soft white sand" beach where we frequently walked and seldom saw our neighbors. We found the tennis court and swimming pool well maintained and seldom used by anyone. The "Island People" or locals were very friendly and concerned about how well we were enjoying our visit. They all told us to be sure to return as soon as possible. Andrew is a tremendous asset. It was comforting to have him meet us at the airport, guide us to the community and give us a "walk through" of your home. He was always available, is well connected on the Island and is a great source of information regarding where to go and what to do. We hired Andrew to prepare a special meal for us and we suggest that all of your guests avail themselves to his culinary skills. He prepared a reasonably priced seafood banquet for us that was out of this world. There are many additional things we could say but by now we're sure you get the idea that we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and understand why you and Anna fell in love with Paradise.

“We loved location, house and beaches. It was a great experience to find a fairly "untouched" and virgin place so closed to the main land. We have the entire beach in front of the house for ourself. We rented a boat and explored the near by location (including a little isolated island) and we used our car to explore the entire island. It was a really great experience”

My family of four stayed in this villa the last of July 2010. It was very well equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay on the beach. We loved being able to walk just a few steps to the beach and spend the day lounging there. The beach was not one bit crowded. We rented a car through Brad's car rental and were met at the airport by the house caretaker who took us to the house, showed us around and then took us for an enjoyable local meal at a nearby beach. We had a great time and would highly recommend this villa to anyone wanting a vacation in paradise.
