  This is a very nice apartment close to two very nice beaches, MAr Chiquita to go with your kids, snorkeling maybe or boogie-boarding, and Los Tubos, great for expert surfers or boogie-boards. The apartment has everything you need, including washing machine and dryer, cooking tools, air conditioning... Our apartment on the 1st floor had no view, but the second floor has an ocean view. You will need a car for shopping and going out, but you will sleep peacefully

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

  Cuca & Arturo were great hosts. They helped out so much over the phone. We requested more photos of the property. We also asked for a blowdryer when we got there. All requests were met completly. The apartment was clean, safe & relaxing. The property is well maintained and comfortable. Make sure to leave all windows and doors closed, as there are a lot of mysquitos outside. The only thing is that the property is far from Action. San Juan is about 40 minutes away. We did have to drive far to get to attractions. However, it is worth the price and comfort. Playa mar chiquita is right down the street, which everyone will enjoy. What a beautiful trip I will always remember in my dreams. Thank you Arturo and Cuca for the wonderful and vaule you provide.

  My family and I stayed here for three nights. The place was ass advertised. Very clean and well kept. Surroundings are peaceful and quiet and its proximity to the beach was perfect. We enjoyed our stay very much. I would recomend this pk ace to my friends.

  Greetings Cuca & Arturo, Once again I want to thank you for such a pleasant stay. Your property is truely amazing. Location, surroundings, the cleanliness in the apartment. The warmth in wich you received us was just the touch to make us feel at home. Thank you. The pictures are very true to what the place looks like. Loved how clean the apartment was including the white bathroom =}. The apartment is very couzy and roomy. Just the right amount of space without missing out on anything. The morning view from the 2nd flr unit was just amazing! The breeze at nite was very pleasant. I do recommend El Faro to everyone and indeed I would go again. As a matter of fact, I am planning already on my next stay. looking forward too continue making reservations with El Faro!! Thank you Cuca & Arturo =} God Bless

  We came, we saw, we got hooked. It's exactly 40mins from airport, get a rental car, and basically in 40mins you're away from traffic, crowds, noise - you're en paraiso! If you think the pictures here are beautiful - let me tell you, they don't even come close to what you'd be seeing in person - GORGEOUS beaches within 3-5mins walking distance, amazing volcanic rocks that waves crash upon, smell of the ocean, rhythmic humming of Atlantic... And most importantly for us - NEVER CROWDED - we got little kids, so were napping during peak sun hours 2pm-4pm, but during other hours = private beach feel in all public places surrounding... Just get there, you'll see! Small boutique bars/restaurants around with ethnic flavors, shopping centers for food, clothing and restaurants ~5-10mins drive away. Apartment is cosy, simple, very safe, you get what you need, including internet to check what's around, what else you may get to sightsee - comfortable beds, fridge, stove n microwave and the rest is what we came for - palms, sand, ocean... Perfect vacation. This place is convenient to everywhere as Puerto Rico isn't a huge place - you can do serious places of interest hopping from this both amazing and strategically sound location. We lucked out to meet owners as well - now we know why this place is so homey - wonderful people made it happen! ;) We're coming back for more next time we can steal TIME to get there! :]

  This is my second time staying at the apartments. This visit was as good as the first. The best thing in my opinion about the apartments and the beach here is that they are a perfect blend of things. The beach is so much more relaxed than a San Juan beach- there's always space and room. Yet at the same time, the apartment's location isn't out in the boonies so far away from everything. It's just a very relaxing, easy to find and stay place. If you are a Spanish speaker you'd probably have a great time hanging out on the weekends with some of the locals that come on Saturdays and Sundays. The apartments are well kept and really have everything you need for a vacation. The pictures of the beach and apartments are exactly what you find once you get there. It really is a great deal for the price.

  Greetings Cuca y Arturo, Just a final note to say we really enjoyed our stay at El Faro! The location was incredible...we spent almost every day at the beach! The apartment was great...very comfortable overall. Aida and Angelo took very good care of us while we were there. This was the first time we spent any real time in Puerto Rico and we found it to be such an incredible place! Huge! We had no idea just how much PR has to offer! Thank you so much for helping to make our vacation so enjoyable! We can't wait to come back SOON!

  We really enjoyed the place. It had a nice view and awesome breeze. Our stay was pleasant and we had no problems at all. The location was perfect for our family, easy highway access. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your place.

  This was our first time renting from this site AND renting in Puerto Rico. We were reluctant to bring our family out w/out seeing the place but were pleasently surprised. El Faro was a nice vacation home. Our apartment (left on ground floor) was clean and a great place to come home to at the end of a long beach day. My kids enjoyed the separate room and WiFi. We had no dryer in the downstairs apartment, but that wasn't a problem for us. ACs were only in the bedrooms, but we really did not spend much time in the livingroom as we were out enjoying the beaches. The property manager was very welcoming and friendly. I would feel very comfortable staying there again...next time for a longer period. My only suggestion would be to have a remote entry gate (but if you have an eager teen that would not mind opening/closing the main gate every time, you should do just fine :) This is a great area in the north central part of PR. Perfectly located close to 3 AWESOME beaches. The Vega Baja beach is great for families. Fantastic for small children just learning to swim. $3 for secure parking. Food, bathrooms, showers available. We were there almost every day. Los Tubos in Manati has high waves and was awesome. No facilities. We stopped there after speding hours in Vega Baja. The kids loved riding the high waves. We went to Mar Chiquita (down the hill) to collect shells and walk along shore. Very pleased with El Faro.

  The apartment was clean and spacious. We were lucky to find this beautiful place. The house is close to the beach, just 5minutes down the hill. We had a car rented and Manati is perfectly located to explore PR. You are at any corner of the island within 3h. The beach was super. Clean, beautiful and party every weekend. This is where the locals come on weekends. We never met any tourists there during our stay in beginning of March 2011. We will be back. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful house.
