About the owner: Hi! Toby and I have been married 41 years and have one daughter, doing a residency in medicine in Seattle. I am a physician, still practicing in Orange County, Ca., and Toby is a speech therapist. We find this unit gives us a getaway only 2 hours from home, but a continent away in atmosphere. We hope you like it too. Bob Woodhouse
Why the Owner Chose Other Rancho Mirage Properties:
About 10 years ago we stayed at another of the rare bungalow units and loved it; we picked our own grapefruit and tangerines outside the unit each morning--our own little "Eden". We figured we would want to come back regularly, and when another bungalow became available nearly 10 years ago we didn't hesitate. The climate and amenities, both in the complex and in the area are ideal for us.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We enjoy winter golf on premier courses in championship shape, and like to attend the Bob Hope or Dinah Shore tournaments when we can, or the major tennis tournaments held about 5 miles away. Toby likes the level hiking trails nearby; we both love the wide variety of restaurants, the weekend flea market in Palm Desert, nighttime entertainment, and the accessibility of Joshua Tree National Monument, or the tram to the top of a 10,000 ft. peak for sunset dinner, all unique to this area. It's nice having the amenities of a vibrant city, but live in a quiet bungalow located in a lush oasis.
