The bedroom has a huge king-sized bed and its own window looking out to the ocean. Plus at the tenth floor you can still hear the soothing sound of the waves. The bedroom has a very efficient A/C unit, but many renters do not use it preferring to sleep to the sound of the waves and the usual breeze of the easterly trade winds. There is a very comfortable futon in the living area that allows for up to two additional people, and which is also great for mid-afternoon siestas. The kitchen is well-equipped with refrigerator, stove and microwave. Also included a TV in master bedroom and living room. Enjoy sun-soaked days on the mile-long beach with large swimming area. Relax feel the breezes as the sun goes down from the private balcony with a panoramic view of the beach. The back view is of the rain forest, El Yunque. Perfect for a great time or just relax...
For your safety this gated community has 24 hour security guards, adult and children pool areas, a basketball court, tennis court, and playground for children. We stayed in this unit in April 2011. The listing pictures and descriptions are accurate and the unit was very clean. This was a great location with great views from the balcony. Close to everything you need and a great location for doing all the "day trips" that are close by. The owner, Francisco, was very nice and had some great suggestions for our stay. The complex is gated and we felt very secure. Our security deposit was returned quickly.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers.
Owner response: For me the attention is very important that I offer to my visitors. I always indicate to them: "Welcomes to its home by the next days ...... ". My rule is to treat the people as I would like would try to me. It's my north. Thank 's and approved the review.

We spent a week renting this unit; it was clean and offered all we needed for a very nice stay. The view from the 10th floor was awesome and we enjoyed picture perfect weather the entire week. The sounds of the ocean waves and breezes were there 24 hours a day -- although it was there, we had no need for any air conditioning. The condominium complex (Playa Azul) stands out as it is comprised of the only multi-story buildings for many, many miles. I'm typically not a high-rise type of person but this worked out just fine. Being located in Luquillo puts you close (about 35 minutes) to San Juan and it also puts you very close to El Yunque. We thought it was a great "jumping off" point for our traveling and would definitely stay in Luquillo again. Francisco was very helpful/personable. He met us at the unit upon our arrival, gave us a brief tour of the place, etc. He had some good suggestions for dining (a local eatery -- The Brass Cactus -- was a favorite), too. The condominium complex is very close to grocery shopping (Amigo and Walgreens); this was convenient for stocking the fridge for the week. We would definitely recommend Playa Azul to others.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
