  Our recent stay at The Screendoor was amazing. The house is beautiful and elegantly furnished with high-end furniture, linens and accents. The house was very tidy and extremely clean. A bonus feature to this property for us was access to children's/toddler toys, bowls, cups and silverware. In addition to those things the house was baby-proofed and the owners provided cribs and baby gates. This made our experience much more relaxing knowing there was extra safety provided for our little one during our stay. We loved the option to stream music inside and outside the home with the speakers throughout, the technology was awesome. We enjoyed watching the big screen TV and the home came with lots of kids movies and games. The shower downstairs was very convenient for washing off the little ones coming in from the beach and the ability to have a warm shower was very nice. The beach was just a short walk down from the house and you could still hear the waves from the porches at night. Going in September I knew it would be quiet but it really was a ghost town! My family enjoyed a vacation that truly felt like we had the beach to ourselves for our entire time there. My family and I have been staying/renting in the Galveston area for over 25 years. I know a good property when I see one, trust me when I say that the Screendoor is the Best! The owners are very accommodating, friendly and generous. We will be back, as long as they will have us. Loved it!!!!

  We had such an excellent experience with this rental. With its close proximity to the beach, it was easy to go back and forth with the kids for naptime. The home was in exccellent condition when we arrived, and it is large enough that you never feel like you're stepping on anyone's toes. The upstairs master turned kids room was amazing. The bunk beds were great, and it had all tv equipment, games, toys, and books. The owners were very easy to work with and extremely accommodating. I would absolutely suggest this listing, and I am looking forward to the next time we can rent this home.

  Nine of us had a wonderful and relaxing "Mom's getaway" at this home. Everything was as stated and shown in the listing. The pictures are great, but it was even better in person! Much more space than we anticipated. You can see the beach from the deck. There was plenty of sleeping space, beautiful decor, ample outdoor seating and just a short walk to the beach and a short drive to The Strand for great shopping. All nine of us highly recommend this home and would stay here again! We loved it! The owners were very easy to communicate with even when we were onsite!

  What a wonderful house this is! Extremely clean. Very helpful owners. It is a quick walk to the beach in the best neighborhood in Galveston.

  We stayed here for a week in early December. The house was very clean and all the rooms matched the pictures exactly. The owners are wonderful and readily answered any questions we had. Our grandkids had the best time in the kids room and it was a short walk to the beach where we also spent most of our time. We went to the Moody Gardens Festival of Lights, The Strand, and had the best hamburgers at the Blue Grill in Jamaica Beach. Also the Treasure Trove near the Blue Grill is a shop full of all kinds of wonderful candles, lotions, and very interesting knick knacks. We are looking forward to staying here again.

  We rented this property for a quick weekend getaway from Houston. The home is very well furnished, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The decks are well appointed with comfortable furniture, grill and a nice big television. The location is great and only a short walk to the beach. We had one minor issue and the owners of the property were more than accommodating. I would highly recommend this property and we look forward to staying there in the future.
